  • Where can you find the best Taiwanese food in New York City? Chef and RUclipsr ‪@IngaLam‬ recommends Ho Foods, located at 110 E 7th Street in Manhattan. Ho Foods specializes in beef noodle soup, but real ones know to swing by the restaurant on weekends for Taiwanese breakfast classics like hot soy milk, egg-stuffed scallion pancakes, and fan tuan, a sticky rice roll packed with yo tiao (fried dough) and savory pork floss. Inga first made a name for herself as a host on Tasty, and has since become one of our favorite food creators working on RUclips. Inga has long co-signed Ho Foods’ legendary beef noodle soup (which she samples at the end of the video) but the restaurant’s breakfast spread equally lives up to the hype!

      From scratch soy milk is wonderful. Warm or cold with ice and a little sugar. Dream.

      6:30 beef shank not brisket, HK/Canto beef noodle uses brisket more often, Taiwanese like to use beef shank or special trim beef shank 金錢腱

    Lmao the prices are nothing short of highway robbery. $4 for fried dough, $8 for fan tuan, $21 for a noodle dish…

    "fan tuan" 飯糰 should really be translated as a "sticky rice ball" in the same vein as an onigiri... not sure why it is often translated as a "rice roll". There is nothing "roll" about it

    Instead of by food type or cuisine, I would like for future food rec videos to be based on geographical area (like the best restaurants in one particular neighborhood) so that we can find the best eats in any particular place.

      This is a good suggestion. Would love to do more videos like this. To be transparent, we have guests come on and take us to their favorite restaurants, and sometimes it feels like a big time commitment to do more than one stop. But would definitely be interested in doing more videos based on neighborhood! Thanks for watching

    Real oatmeal is healthier .. soy in unhealthy

    • @Star.Soul.
      @Star.Soul. Месяц назад

      People think soy is unhealthy is because what you can find in US are GMO soy and chemical processed soy products. Asians have eaten soy for thousands of years including those Japanese centenarians. Oats are not healthy too. Even organic oats have glyphosate. I avoid all oat products unless the brand had their oats tested to be weed killer free.
