Hey Shawn and Alex, this is Nick. Had a great time hanging out and getting to ride Voyage with you guys! Glad your trip was a success and hoping to run into you guys again at some point!
It was great to spend the day with you and do some rides!

This is the beautiful thing about social media and youtube, you met each other in the Park and after several weeks You see yourself in the Vlog and than also be able to write with each other in the comments!
@Theme Park Worldwide @IndyEIT 777 - Hey so I had a month long trip in America I'd wanted to do for 19 years from May 31 and only just missed you guys! However, I did meet Nick myself at the exit of Storm Chaser in Kentucky Kingdom with my wife on Sat 22 June if he remembers, and he was saying how he met you and Alex. I explained how I was also "stormed out" of Holiday World the day before in the most terrifying thunderstorm ever (Indiana thunderstorms coming over you look like something conjured up by Lord Voldermort...) and missed out on back row of Voyage and Thunderbird completely - and they didn't give rain checks. Well, I can confirm, after I rang them they felt so bad I'd waited nearly 20 years to come they let me back in for free and put me through the exits for 2 rides each on Voyage and Thunderbird! Customer service like I've never seen, I felt like roller coaster ROYALTY! My lovely wife gave up her day in Cincinatti so I could do that.....
@@robhaley5136 It was great to meet you at Kentucky Kingdom Rob, Im thrilled to hear you got back to Holiday World and got to experience the Voyage and Thunderbird! Hope you and your wife had a great rest of your trip and glad you made it back home safely!
@ it certainly is great that social media does allow these interactions. It was also really neat being there seeing the vlog being filmed in person and get to relive it today.
@@ThemeParkWorldwide Although You thought that there wasn´t enough footage of this Park Shawn, I think this Vlog is maybe the best one so far. It really made me feel like I was there with you guys. going through all the up´s and down´s. At first these amazing coasters in this outstanding Park and than that incredible thunderstorm! Thank You so much for taking us with You on that amazing Yourney!
@ Seeing as I was there last month, totally agree with that. Little bit emotional to watch this as I feel like I'm there again (also stormed out ha!) and Voyage is my no. 4 roller coaster (out of 177, not ridden 1000 but don't think it'll change much) and it's definitely the best wooden roller coaster in the world. And the only roller coaster to make me cry with the majesty of what I'd just experienced hitting the brake run.

@@robhaley5136 I would love to ride Voyage myself some day, I never heard of it before to be honest. That´s why I look all of them Vlogs from TPW, these guys just go every where on this planet to ride them coasters. My personal favorite wooden roller coaster is Wodan in Europa Park here in Germany, but i haven´t even ridden 100 Coasters in my life.....
You know someone is enthousiastic about a ride when he comes off, starts a half minute extatic chatter about the coaster before claiming he's *speechless* . ;)
8:46 is still my favorite moment of the US trip after so many other vlogs. Both of your reactions seem the most genuine of any other reaction so far (not that the others aren’t genuine). Blimey!
Holiday World... a park that you don't think is going to be home to such amazing coasters when you walk through the gate. LOL The best word to describe this park is, "caring." This park cares about everything.
Just wanted to say thank you both for your work in sharing this great trip with us! I’ve watched every single video posted of this trip so far-and looking forward to the rest. Not sure if or when I’ll ever visit some of these parks, but in the meantime I can visit them vicariously through you guys!
Happy you like Voyage . A word on no filming. For many years people have been Bri gong cell phones in rides and think their shirt pocket is safe. We are a litigious society and many parks have been sued for allowing cameras in rides. Once on the old Mean Streak I was hit in the face with a flying cap that knocked out a contact lens. People won’t change so the park has to put in law suit safety precautions to protect everyone. Your narration and off ruse shots are good enough for me! Ride on!
Well I know why you guys always go straight for the biggest and best rides first, in case something happens like this. Very smart strategy. Holiday World looks like a real special Park.
Man, I have to say, your content is from another level. I have some time off from work and became hooked to your channel. Mainly because of your Efteling vlogs (homepark), but all your other work is amazing too. During your previous vlog from St Louis, I was thinking: "Am I the only one who would be triggered to visit a park in the neighborhood if I knew you and Alex would visit the same day?" Apparently not haha. Besides your enthusiasm and verbal skills, I believe your authenticity is what sets you (and your crew) apart. I hope you can retain this genuineness and approachability as your channel and popularity grows, which I do expect, given the internationalization of the theme park business. Best of luck for the future and all the trips to come. You made me pursue an old dream agian of going to Cedar Point and feed the child inside me. Thanks for that!
I've never been to this park, but am a wood coaster fanatic. I was so excited to watch this vlog because I knew you would give your honest feedback. Thrilled to hear it was so fun. I've heard the night rides are simply insane. This park has an amazing reputation for staff friendliness, operations, and cleanliness. Pat, the matriarch of the family that owns this park, use to sweep, clean bathrooms, etc. You just know they care. I've really got to get there.
This is my home park and I've been coming here since the early 80's when it was still Santa Clause Land. I think you guy's would've enjoyed the rapids ride. That little freedom train was the original train that ran up until just a few years ago when it was replaced with the current train. It used to circle the parks only rollercoaster back then, firecracker, which is where Howler is now. The park has transformed quite a bit over the last 20-25 years. Its a shame the weather cut the day short but glad you got all the credits. I'm loving the vlogs!
Everyone is asking for a top 10 roller coaster vlog when the trip vlogs end, but what about 10 worst coasters! Love to hear that one. God bless you and Alex and Charlotte of course. Can t wait for the next on. 👍🎢
Even though you could not get on ride footage, I think this USA road trip series has been my favorite vlogs of the channel so far. I really think more than the rides it is the chemistry between Shawn & Alex that has really come into its own, that quite honestly is not on the same level when Shawn is with other guests. This trip really seems to have brought out the best in both of you! Maybe it was the fact you were both sharing in such a crazy and long schedule. Hopefully the 2 of you can do some more longer trips, including maybe a USA west coast trip.
I'm going to Holiday World for the first time tomorrow (using my free admission perk for being a King's Island employee) and I CANNOT WAIT! Thanks for doing this video!
The lack of off-ride footage gives you a good excuse to go back and film! I’ve wanted to go since they built the Voyage and I don’t think I’d be disappointed!
Humbug! The frustration of no on-ride shots is compounded when the rides are top-class. No hooting. We did get some off-ride gobbling from Alex. A ride on one of the most squalid dark rides in recent memory. Yet another plate of chicken tenders. Really, the rain made the vlog. The unexpected soaking made for a little adventure. And you finally got your hair off your forehead. Looked great!
Hi shawn and Alex another great vlog. Loved Alex dancing around and winning a George gotta love Alex . Sorry you got rained off . Thanks for sharing this wonderful trip with us xxx
went to holiday world for the first time in June 2020. It was phenomenal. Coaster collection is rediculous. Voyage, Legend, Thunderbird, and Raven were all incredibly intense rides with Voyage being a top 10 for me. The park was incredibly friendly, great food, and great operations to. I was trying to find the entrance to the log flume and a staff was like "can I help you?" and I told her I was trying to find the log flume and so she walked me there herself. Just incredible place and one of the best parks I have been to.
Holiday World is my home park, and it’s so weird to hear people call it a “bucket list part” haha. I’m within driving distance between Holiday World and Kings Island, so Holiday World has always been the “little” park to me. I’m glad you guys had a great time though!!!
It is not cheap but a couple of days in cabin or camping is real fun next door in Lake Rudolph. The local area can be quite stormy but there some novel local attractions that warrant 2 or 3 days. Great vlog, this park is definitely special.
Will you be posting an updated top coasters list after all of the USA vlogs? I'd certainly be intrigued to know after the trip! Great vlog, though, Shawn; do you prefer Voyage to Wildfire at Kolmarden after talking so highly of it, or do you not consider Wildfire a wooden coaster?
Great to hear; I look forward to your list, and the rest of the USA vlogs! Also, Shawn; I'd be intrigued to see some rankings of certain coaster types that you've done e.g. your RMCs ranked or your B&M hypers ranked.
Upon rewatching, I think that Holiday World was actually the high of the trip, because it seemed like your illnesses had cleared up (maybe not completely, but for the most part). And you guys weren't too exhausted yet. How good of a park it was also helped!
Great Vlog. So glad you guys enjoyed your time at Holiday World. We love the park and the coasters. The Voyage is definitely #1 woodie in my book. Thanks for all the great vlogs and your dedication to sharing all the good times with us.
(Rewatching during pandemic lockdown.) I HIGHLY recommend this world class park with a caring, family-run vibe. On one occasion, an employee stood outside the gates to give away some complimentary tickets that he personally was not going to be able to use, and our family, complete strangers to him, were the lucky recipients. The kiddie choo-choo train ride in the "Holidog" children's area is a charming tour through nursery rhyme and storybook scenes with live narration. (Unless you actually board the ride, you probably can't see that area.) Truly, there's something for everyone: outstanding free water park, loads of thrill rides and milder rides, good food at relatively bargain prices, fun theming, lots of live entertainment for all ages, and, of course, a chance to visit with Santa! Kids can hear him read a story, and then they get a chance to speak with him and get a small toy (free!) from his sack. 🎅🎢
I had the exact same weather when I went, including a possible tornado when I was at the waterpark (it’s on my channel, ha ha.). Anyway I loved thunderbird and voyage. I rode Raven and legend in the rain and was trying to hold my hood over my face, and they hurt my back so badly that I had to go to a chiropractor when I got home. Very rough! But I did enjoy the park overall, the waterpark was impressive for that size of park. Next time, do the water coaster!

@@ThemeParkWorldwide I didn't even grey out on i305 it just felt.. wonderful. Like my face was snoopy dog's and I could feel blood running down to the ground in my legs, my arms, torso, behind my eyes.. But I realise, I must be a tough mudder. I'd take a 400ft drop and that first turn. Strap me in. Maaaybe I'll grey out then.. ;) Btw guys the rest of the ride (at least until braked airtime hill) is also RIDICULOUSLY intense. That ride must make you a tad shorter...
This is my home park! I hope you guys had the best time! If you ever want to know history and stories let me know! It's amazing park and always has my heart!
Just came here to watch this video again to see your review on this coaster. This is a bucket list coaster for me. I don't think they should ever RMC it, however if it gets unrideable due to age I think It should be only RMCd with RMC track and new trains that is it. The layout is unique and looks perfect as it is.
Also, Holiday World is known for its thunderstorms. Every day I have gone there, I have seen at least one thunderstorm of biblical proportions. One day, I saw like 4 thunderstorms hit the park, and still had time to ride.
Holiday World is such an amazing park! Voyage was absolutely amazing! I sadly missed out on Legend because it was closed all day. A fellow enthusiast I met at Voyage described the park the best. Holiday World is a people's park. Free parking, free drinks, and cheap admission! You definitely cant complain there! I cant wait to return.
I live in Georgia and haven’t been to places like Holiday World. I did go to Cedar Point for my first time in June and they have a great collection of top coasters. I got to ride Steel Vengeance in the rain and it was awesome.
I dream of the day I’ll be able to visit all these amazing theme parks! It sucks that we don’t have any major park down here in Brazil. Btw I watch every single video you post and I’m loving this American theme park tour you and Shawn are on! Have fun boys!
The 1st time I went to Holliday World (1990 I think) the tallest rollercoaster was about 50 feet and was called the firecracker. The log ride, Banshee, and newly added ragin' rapid were the only other rides there. I think tix cost $16. It's cool to see Holiday World has become a destination for theme park fans, because it's a tremendous park 🤘
So happy to hear you loved Holiday World! It’s my favorite park behind Cedar Point and Voyage is my all time favorite coaster, it’s just so relentless, I even prefer it over Steel Vengeance (slightly) because of its wood coaster aggressive feel... highly recommend you check out holiwood nights event for night rides on the coasters - particularly Voyage - they will leave you speechless!
That’s understandable but with exception of Thunder Bird and Voyage they really don’t have that great of a line up. It’s just unusual that they have 3 wooden coasters and one steel one. They really need another big break out coaster. Have guys tried Bush Gardens Williams Burg yet? If you haven’t I highly recommend it and you would definitely change your mind about holiday world i guarantee you that. Lol

I'd take a 400ft drop and that first turn. Strap me in. Maaaybe I'll grey out then.. ;) Btw guys the rest of the ride (at least until braked airtime hill) is also RIDICULOUSLY intense. That ride must make you a tad shorter...
@@ThemeParkWorldwide i enyoj your vlogs very much.
Also the fact how disciplined you are.
I would just say f....k the vlog and marathon the voyage
Loving this trip, am all up to date and waiting for next instalment
Up next is Kings Island, that vlog will be coming Saturday!
I’m glad you guys had a good time!!! It’s too bad about the storms later in the day, it happens a lot(:
This is my home park! I hope you guys had the best time! If you ever want to know history and stories let me know! It's amazing park and always has my heart!
Thank you, I have since looked into it much more!
Just came here to watch this video again to see your review on this coaster. This is a bucket list coaster for me. I don't think they should ever RMC it, however if it gets unrideable due to age I think It should be only RMCd with RMC track and new trains that is it. The layout is unique and looks perfect as it is.
It sure is epic!
lets count how many time they say "*new number 1 coaster*"
Shawn: 0
Alex: 1
@Eric Thomason yh cant wait!
Another great vlog! Looking forward to Kings vlog 😀
Also, Holiday World is known for its thunderstorms. Every day I have gone there, I have seen at least one thunderstorm of biblical proportions. One day, I saw like 4 thunderstorms hit the park, and still had time to ride.
Always adds the extra excitement to me lol
I'd love to go go this park, it looks amazing! Amazing vlog can't wait for the others to upload😁😁
Chloe Adams it’s my favourite in America
@@finlaytroughton4180 I'd love to go to America it looks amazing!
There's still so much to come from our trip!
@@ThemeParkWorldwide so exciting!
Such a shame the weather rolled in, and spoiled the day, looks like a really nice park great staff very clean, thank you for sharing
Sorry that you guys got rained out. But this has been one of the best vids from your trip so far!!! Loved it!
I agree with your guest in this vlog. Steel vengeance#1 Voyage#2. I am truly lucky to live only 2 hours from Holiday world.
We certainly loved our visit!
The Voyage does look amazing. I think it has to be one of my top bucket list wooden coasters.
It certainly does not disappoint!
I live in Georgia and haven’t been to places like Holiday World. I did go to Cedar Point for my first time in June and they have a great collection of top coasters. I got to ride Steel Vengeance in the rain and it was awesome.
I would love to get on Voyage. Looks like my dream coaster.
this really is a s+ park one of my fav every thing about this park is great
I was sitting right in front of you when you were filming about the voyager 😂😂
I dream of the day I’ll be able to visit all these amazing theme parks! It sucks that we don’t have any major park down here in Brazil. Btw I watch every single video you post and I’m loving this American theme park tour you and Shawn are on! Have fun boys!
This is my home park! I've been going since I was four!
I also worked there last summer! and the rain, unfortunately, is a very common thing
Ohhhh you visited my home park!!!
I went there just after you guys
The 1st time I went to Holliday World (1990 I think) the tallest rollercoaster was about 50 feet and was called the firecracker. The log ride, Banshee, and newly added ragin' rapid were the only other rides there. I think tix cost $16. It's cool to see Holiday World has become a destination for theme park fans, because it's a tremendous park 🤘
Next time ride Voyage in the dark!
If they close rides for 90 consecutive mins and it starts before 4 you can get a storm ticket to come back any time that year
Awesome looking park! I do love driving fast but somehow don't think it the same as a coaster lol 🤔
Voyage looks like a beast of a coaster!
World class
I'm going there tomorrow
Never heard of this park looks lovely not gonna lie gutted there's no on ride footage... But it always entertaining see you and Alex having fun ☺
We loved it here!
28:40 "Are you ready to drop your balls?" LOL
You should do a top 100 because you have so many credits
It really is crazy!
Theme Park Worldwide please do that
Another great Vlog from your USA road trip Shawn
Great one Shaun keep it 👌 up
Drove passed Holidays heading west. Looks like a Nice park. Kinda spoiled in the middle of Ohio between King's Island and Cedar Point.
This park only has one steel coaster interesting 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 You guys give this park way more credit than it deserves and has next to no flat rides.
We really enjoyed visiting and thought the park had a great ride line-up!
Lol
