GOod morning, good morning! It's such a wonderful day! Good morning, good morning! It's time for King's Island, yay! The fountains are getting better with every park!
Being denied a night ride on The Beast has been known to negatively affect one’s mental state. Not only is the ride a physical beast, it is also an emotional one.
It would have been hard for them to get one anyway... On days where there are fireworks the Beast closes the queue 30 mintues early and then for about 45 minutes if you have made it in the queue and you have to stand in line and wait for the show to finish so they would have gotten one but at like 11pm and only IF they would know to get in the line a half hour early.... Also as far as the park goes I like Kings Island. It isn't the greatest park as I feel most of the coasters are overrated there but there is a TON to do and the park is well kept, looks nice, has good food options, and some high quality flats and operations.
Hello! This is Austin and Emily. We rode Adventure Express with you guys! We really hope you guys enjoyed Kings Island! We are sorry again for our Bipolar State weather! Shawn you have encouraged me to go on more coaster trips! Thank you for all that you do. My mate and I are gonna do a 5 park trip in Pennsylvania and New Jersey...Can't wait!
I was at the park that day and left before the evening storm. I wish I would have stayed to see the bright fireworks against the dark, ominous clouds. That looked really cool - thanks for filming it!
Just on my 3rd watch of the America Mega trip vlogs, this is one of my favourites,I’ll remember watching this content when I’m old and wrinkly guys ,mad respect Shawn! Thankyou.
I’m sorry you two had a poor visit. Usually this park always impresses me, but what you two went through wasn’t that great. At least it’s still better than six flags lol
Screw Six flags lol... they were almost the death of Kentucky Kingdom... nothing worse can happen to a park (outside of just closing) than being bought by Six Flags... They're like the freakin' ghetto of theme parks lol
6 flags completely lied about Astroworld and why they were closing it down. New mgmt. sighted dwindling attendance numbers. I howled laughing at that one. Many U S A parks have walk on rides. I remember 2 months before the flags closed Astroworld, we waited over an hour for one of the worst log flumes in history. The Bamboo Shoot. A boring Arrow one hit wonder. 45 minutes for Swat and Serial Thriller. The last coaster they actually built from the ground up (not moved from another park) was the Texas Giant. They transferred in: Serial Thriller, Batman, Ultra Twister, Taz' Texas Tornado, Greased Lightning, and Viper. Texas Giant was the #1 coaster anywhere, for several years. A duplicate of the original at Coney Island. If fact, they were gonna move the original to Astroworld, but it proved to be too costly, so they built one themselves, but bigger. That park never stood a chance. Had they expanded with a hyper or giga; hired more security and kept up the appearance, it would be a top five, 6 flags park right now. With over 4 million residents, the tourism was built in. NASA, Galveston, Zoo, Museums, Sports, Astrodome, etc...The land was supposed to be sold to make stockholders a ton of $$$. Well, the land still sits....empty. Wish I could buy the land and start over! So, there are great theme and amusement parks in most of America's 50 biggest cities and small areas like Pigeon Forge, Santa Clause, etc... We have 2 great, small parks. One on Galveston Bay in Kemah and one on a pier over the Gulf Of Mexico in Galveston. They include a great woodie (CCI I think) called the Boardwalk Bullet and a Gerstlauer Euro(I think) over the Gulf, but no Astroworld. We have a promised, massive tourist/recreation area that eventually will have a theme park that will open w/ 5 class coasters. Hmmmmph. We'll see. Supposed to have opened several years ago. Called Texas Grand. A water recreation area, campground and speedway are opening now. We shall see. It's way out in the NE suburbs.
I am from Georgia and visited kings island in October of 2019 and had the WORST experience. For one it was crowded as heck. I only visited for a day and only rode 4 rides (diamondback, mystic, delirium, and banshee.) It was about an hour wait for delirium, 2 in a half hour wait for banshee, 30 minute wait for diamondback, and 45 minute wait for mystic timbers. I was sad because I really wanted to ride the beast but it was a three hour wait. It was like 30 degrees and I am from the south so I am used to warm weather. I am visiting again in June including Cedar Point. Hopefully the corona virus is over by then.
Such a shame at the end, I really hope the park sees this video or takes notice of the complaints I can only assume they got, and hopefully improve on things. Great video all the same though guys, I'm really enjoying watching everything from this trip😁
Shame you didn’t have have that good of a visit but still interesting to y’all opinions on some of my favorite coasters (Diamondback is my #6, Banshee is my #8 and Beast night ride is my #10) but give KI a chance at redemption one day lol. I highly recommend, if you get the chance, to attend Coasterstock. It’s such an awesome event! Two days with ERT (morning and night), catered meals and behind the scenes tours. Look forward to the rest of the vlogs!
I believe that's me on the right of the seventh row of Diamondback in the first station shot. I really wish I had just looked to my left and realised I could meet you in person.
Some real interesting thoughts here with enthusiasts having bad days at Kings Island. I have never had a bad visit here and I hope its not a trend and just bad luck That weather policy in US parks is annoying. Six Flags seem to be the worse for that though and I am gutted you never got to ride Beast in the dark. Still glad you love Bat and Vortex, I love them to bits.
Just watched this for the 2nd time in a row... can’t wait for this Saturday (may 8)! I’ll be goin to KI myself! Also, thanks for the great content Shawn keep it up!

If you're travelling and had your heart set on a night ride on the Beast and they pull that BS I'd 100% be upset. That was probably just a few higher ups sniffing the chance to go home an hour early and saving the company some $ off the hourly wages so they went ahead and disappointed everyone who stuck around in their park even though there was zero reason to be closing.
I understand what you mean... I think its just more because they came SO far to be there... so it was a bit more disappointing for them... you have to remember... they can't just jump in a car and be there in a few hours... and they planned their whole schedule out in order to be there for a certain amount of time on a certain day.... If I booked a flight, rented a hotel and a rental car, and spent that kind of money to go to Europe and then the park wasn't open for the time it was supposed to be... I'd be upset too... but like I told them... you can't judge a park by one experience
I see where your coming from and why you were a tad bit frustrated with the park and closing time but my question is why wouldn’t you recommend the park? Sure the coaster lineup isn’t no cedar point but it is still solid in my opinion. It has great operations, and it’s pretty. Just thought I throw it out there but anyway nice video!
Thanks for watching, we were disappointed with the lack of communication from the park. Maybe we'll return at some point in the future and give it another chance!
I never knew anyone that had this bad of a day at Kings Island. In all of my experiences coming here, I've had some of the best days of my life! I think that most of the coasters are in the top 3 of their respective coaster type/model. I view the park staff to be wonderful here (and all Cedar Fair parks for that matter), and the park has such an amazing atmosphere and charm! I understand that you are upset at the park closing an hour early, but there are many parks across the US that will close early if weather is severely bad. Cedar Fair parks, Six Flags parks, Busch/SeaWorld parks, Disney parks, Universal parks.... you name it, they will close earlier than scheduled if they have to. I highly reccomened you give this park another try in the near future, especially with that rumored giga coaster making its way in 2020.
Shame you didn’t like Banshee and Racer. I rode Banshee in the back and it was super intense and had amazing hangtime, and I got a smooth ride on Racer, and great airtime. Hopefully you can ride it again!
Saturday upload of a kings island vlog thats my morning off work sorted as always pleasure to join you guys on this trip looking forward to planning my own! think ill avoid Texas though!
I think you just got unlucky on Backlot Stunt Track. Its the last one to have any effect.. and it usually still has fire and the helicopter sound/ visual effects. It used to also have on-board audio, fake splashdown, and best of all... water canons that would "explode" the petrol barrels after the fire explosion.. it would give you a proper jumpscare from the sound alone. It was great.
when i was a kid back in the 70s, kings island had all of the HANNA BARBERA characters...the flintstones, scooby doo, the jetsons, yogi bear etc. it was great along with the hanna barbera ride!!!! better than its a small world.
I don’t blame you for being upset. A night ride on The Beast is the best thing about the park. Probably my favorite coaster experience ever. I don’t understand why they don’t stay open later to have more night rides.
Nice vlog. So sad that you are disappointed. Especially because it was obviously one of your bucket list parks. Maybe you can do a re-visit someday...with sunshine...and you will change your mind. Looking forward to your next videos 😁
Votex looked so cool, its crazy to think that after the review you gave that it closed for good that same year. Why is a ride not included in the price of the park?
I got to go on the Beast in 1979 the first year it opened, my father took us there, I was 10 yrs old. I planning on going back this summer for the first time since then. I can't wait to see how the Beast has held up.

awwwwwww, you finally made it to my home state of OHIO home to two of the greatest theme parks in the usa...KINGS ISLAND and CEDAR POINT. K.I. being my favorite as a child.

I think if it was a warmer day you would've enjoyed some of the coasters more such as Banshee, Diamondback, and Mystic Timbers. From the offride shots i could tell they weren't running as fast as they do on a warmer day.
i am so very sorry guys, that is so crummy of the staff not saying sorry and closing early, well you all are still my faves and i adore you both and brett!
So sorry you left disappointed! Kings Island is my home park, and I absolutely love it, nearly as much as Cedar Point. I’ve always found the staff and overall experience oftentimes better than most other parks I’ve been to. All I can think is that the weather just caused the park to have a bad day when you were there (maybe even affecting the coasters). I hope the bad taste is gone now and you can find a way to give it a second chance sooner than you mentioned in the vlog. I know that King’s Island’s public relations director, Don is a coaster enthusiast himself (not just a corporate shill) and he would be mortified at your experience that day. It truly is a great park, and I feel almost embarrassed that it was such a bad day for you, and you left so frustrated.
Been here once when my kids were younger and they loved that kids area. Bummed you didn’t have a better visit but glad you got all the coasters in. Thanks for sharing and being honest as always.
Cedar fair neutered the beast. The old girl had trims always on the hills. But you didn't feel them as much at all. They switched to mag brakes. Prior the maintenence would adjust the height of the trims using various objects like paint cans.
Awwwww good on that lad for getting you the pumpkin cred. This is a total bucket list park, looks amazing and I’m loving the small lines. Would you really not recommend a visit from the UK? Great vlog as always though lads.
We were very annoyed at the time after waiting over 3 hours for the storm to pass for them to close once it had cleared. I'd just be mindful of this when planning a visit!
KI just landed a giga. Their coaster lineup can compete with anybody except for maybe Cedar Point. Really sad your experience was not the best when you went.
This is one of my 3 home parks I visit yearly. I’m glad you were able to experience Kings Island! Sidenote: You’re one of the few that gave Diamondback a negative review. I personally love that ride and Banshee. I slightly agree with your critique on Mystic Timbers.

The fountains are getting better with every park!
We saw some epic fountains on this trip!
Being denied a night ride on The Beast has been known to negatively affect one’s mental state. Not only is the ride a physical beast, it is also an emotional one.
It is indeed, we were gutted!
We really wished the weather hold back so we would of rode The Beast at night but it didn't and again we are sorry! But it was so much fun and nice to meet you guys! We hope to see you guys in the future! Maybe we will be at your guys parks over in UK! We love your guys videos and keep the good work up!
It was great to meet you and thanks for saying hello!
Shawn you have encouraged me to go on more coaster trips! Thank you for all that you do. My mate and I are gonna do a 5 park trip in Pennsylvania and New Jersey...Can't wait!
Try to have a one day break between major parks if you can. It really helps
Have a fantastic trip!
I have to say this kid, Tevon, was a great sport! He rode this ride with you old guys 6 times. LOL!!!!! How sweet was this baby!
He was fantastic and we really appreciated it!
Alex's musicality dancing to you cant stop the beat is honestly EVERYTHING
I was at the park that day and left before the evening storm. I wish I would have stayed to see the bright fireworks against the dark, ominous clouds. That looked really cool - thanks for filming it!
Just on my 3rd watch of the America Mega trip vlogs, this is one of my favourites,I’ll remember watching this content when I’m old and wrinkly guys ,mad respect Shawn! Thankyou.
I grew up by KI and would visit Cedar Point every summer. Wasn't until i recently got into coaster did I realize how lucky I was.
I didn't ride The Beast till I was 44 yrs old, The Beast is a giant feat of engineering that was built in 1978.
@@lowlifeangler the beast was my first credit, I was about 8?#coasterprivilege
@@okokukok my first credit was like a Pinfari Zyklon :-|
I go to kings island every year
I saw more stars on Backlot Stunt Coaster than I did on I305! I305 was definitely 'more intense' but I agree, what a surprise that helix was!!
I’m sorry you two had a poor visit. Usually this park always impresses me, but what you two went through wasn’t that great. At least it’s still better than six flags lol
Anything is better than Six Flags!
Just woke up and this vlog is out? It’s gonna be a good day 👌🏻
Such a sweet comment...
We hope you enjoyed it!
@@GeorgeT370 simp
Such a shame at the end, I really hope the park sees this video or takes notice of the complaints I can only assume they got, and hopefully improve on things.
Great video all the same though guys, I'm really enjoying watching everything from this trip😁
Let's hope so, thanks for watching!
Nice video to watch with my morning coffee ! thank's lads ;-)
You can't stop the beat from Hairspray was what Alex was dancing to
Shame you didn’t have have that good of a visit but still interesting to y’all opinions on some of my favorite coasters (Diamondback is my #6, Banshee is my #8 and Beast night ride is my #10) but give KI a chance at redemption one day lol. I highly recommend, if you get the chance, to attend Coasterstock. It’s such an awesome event! Two days with ERT (morning and night), catered meals and behind the scenes tours. Look forward to the rest of the vlogs!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I'll have to try this park again in the future!
There's some great rides at this park however it's a shame that the bad weather came in which caused the issues for us at the end!
My morning sorted mate cheers lol hope your having a blast you’s two 😎
We did indeed!
I absolutely love your videos and infectious enthusiasm you both have. Can't wait for Cedar Point video.
Thank you!
The original bat was where vortex was.
The second bat opened as "top gun" and was rethemed to coincide with banshee and pay homage to the earlier ride
So excited when I saw this video!
Lovely ... Theme Park Worldwide on RUclips. Well planned Shawn
Alex doing "Uptown Girl"..... he's flipped!
Just watched this for the 2nd time in a row... can’t wait for this Saturday (may 8)! I’ll be goin to KI myself! Also, thanks for the great content Shawn keep it up!
I can’t wait to get back!
Great vlog man but was the park closing 1 hour early such a big deal?
At the time we were very annoyed with the lack of communication from the park. I completely understand storms can be nasty however it had long past over 90 minutes before the original park closing time. They also ran a firework display which proves that the weather was fine to continue the park operation!
I really hope you get back there. Amazing park when it’s not raining.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
“giga” 🤣🤣🤣
Shame you didn’t like Banshee and Racer. I rode Banshee in the back and it was super intense and had amazing hangtime, and I got a smooth ride on Racer, and great airtime. Hopefully you can ride it again!
Saturday upload of a kings island vlog thats my morning off work sorted as always pleasure to join you guys on this trip looking forward to planning my own! think ill avoid Texas though!
Thanks for watching!
Alex was giving me good vibrations.....goood...good...good vibrations, ha, ha. Loving all the vlogs from this road trip guys.
Thanks Derek!
The bat train is what the vampire trains used to be like before they changed to what they have now!!! Xxxx
It is indeed!
that GCI sounded like the smiler
His review when he got off made it sound like he rode the Smiler lol
I was disappointed with it sadly
when i was a kid back in the 70s, kings island had all of the HANNA BARBERA characters...the flintstones, scooby doo, the jetsons, yogi bear etc. it was great along with the hanna barbera ride!!!! better than its a small world.
I live by there so I practically go every day. Its amazing!!
"I'm looking forward to a nice B&M to start the day"...Priceless! I'm dying I'm laughing so hard!
38:07 loving Alex's cover of uptown girl. Come on guys - Up charge rides !!!
Up charge rides on the TPW official album!
I don’t blame you for being upset. A night ride on The Beast is the best thing about the park. Probably my favorite coaster experience ever. I don’t understand why they don’t stay open later to have more night rides.
Loved the ET music playing when you stood in front of the Eiffel Tower towards the end of the vlog! Wonder how Universal would feel about that...
Ik y’all see Alex dancing in the background
Nice vlog. So sad that you are disappointed. Especially because it was obviously one of your bucket list parks.
Maybe you can do a re-visit someday...with sunshine...and you will change your mind.
Looking forward to your next videos 😁
Hopefully so, thanks for watching!
From the brilliant kid to the shocking management. I hope you and every visitor got their apologies. Keep up the good work.
Votex looked so cool, its crazy to think that after the review you gave that it closed for good that same year. Why is a ride not included in the price of the park?
I never comment on poses for Thumbnails but man that is a great pose for a great park!
I loved The Beast photo point!
I got to go on the Beast in 1979 the first year it opened, my father took us there, I was 10 yrs old. I planning on going back this summer for the first time since then. I can't wait to see how the Beast has held up.
Awesome video!
With all the American vloggers and their constant visits to Disney, it's so nice to see someone going to the other awesome parks we have here in America.
Thank you, we enjoyed visiting a good mix of parks on this trip!
awwwwwww, you finally made it to my home state of OHIO home to two of the greatest theme parks in the usa...KINGS ISLAND and CEDAR POINT. K.I. being my favorite as a child.
Hi Shawn! Do you think you will be visiting camel Creek this year (Cornwall crealy) as of the 21st of July there are 3 creds to get!
I would like to!
Son of Beast was before Cedar Fair owned the park. Paramounts owned them back then and were slowly running the park down
This is one of my most anticipated videos of the year!
great great fun!! so glad you guys are having the best time!!
Your videos are fun to watch. Kings island is my home park. I'm there around 30 times a year.
I can't wait to see the carowinds vlog
These two guys after every ride: aWwWw ThAt wAs TeRrIbLe!
We enjoyed many rides across the day, however we'll always be honest with our opinions!
@@ThemeParkWorldwide lol I was just playing around I understand it was a good video👌👌
that's a really good entrance view.
That kid was amazing :D What a sports.
He was indeed, very kind of him!
Please give kings island another chance next year please I have went there for 30 years I agree They have there problems but a great park still just needs more love.
I would like to give it another go, at the time we were just very upset with how it was handled!
Bit suprised that you wouldn't visit again as on all US theme parks hours and operating hours are subject too change on a day too day basis
At the time we were very annoyed with the lack of communication from the park. I completely understand storms can be nasty however it had long past over 90 minutes before the original park closing time. They also ran a firework display which proves that the weather was fine to continue the park operation!
You really hyped up these coasters too much, still this park is pretty fun
Unfortunately they were hyped up to us, but we still had a good time (until the end!)
Great vlog guys! Nice to see Brett again!
Wow that fireworks display was tragic 😂😳
Thank you, it was awful!
You guys must have been cranky for this one or something. The takes you had about some of the stuff at this park were truly wild.
It sure was an interesting day! I'll always be honest though and share my true thoughts!
YES! Fantastic Vlog as always! #Giga2020 hopefully you will return next year for their new coaster
Thank you!
@@ThemeParkWorldwide 😊😊
Shame about the beast we rode it 11-30pm it was awesome and love kings island one of the best
I think if it was a warmer day you would've enjoyed some of the coasters more such as Banshee, Diamondback, and Mystic Timbers. From the offride shots i could tell they weren't running as fast as they do on a warmer day.
They did feel very slow at points, I'm sure I'll return on a better day in the future
Another awesome vlog again Shawn keep up with the awesome videos
i am so very sorry guys, that is so crummy of the staff not saying sorry and closing early, well you all are still my faves and i adore you both and brett!
It is indeed, we had a great day other than that!
Thank you for understanding how we felt, I'm sure we'll be back in the future and we'll give it another go!
These USA trip vlogs are THE BEST!
Thanks Tim!
Been here once when my kids were younger and they loved that kids area. Bummed you didn’t have a better visit but glad you got all the coasters in. Thanks for sharing and being honest as always.
We'll always be honest and share our full thoughts!
The Bat reminds me a lot of the old Big Bad Wolf that used to be in Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA
I miss the Big Bad Wolf!
Well it's the exact same kind of coaster made by the same company so it should.
Also it was way better than Verbolten
@Carlover88 Z like no, Bat from early 80s had maintenance problems, The Bat now used to named Top Gun then Flight Deck
I feel so bad that you didn’t get the night ride, was impressed with the park until they closed early 😂
The park overall is great and we enjoyed it other than the ending!
I know you guys can't help it, but I do enjoy the vlogs with onrides a little more. Such a shame lots of parks don't allow it.
There's some vlogs coming up soon with POV's!
When we went last summer to Kings Island, the Boo Blasters was in really poor shape. The ones at the other CF parks are in much better shape.
I love waking up in the morning and seeing a notification on my phone for a new TPW video. Always puts me in a good mood🤗💙
Another great looking park. One of those parks that's on my bucket list. Coasters are fantastic
KI just landed a giga. Their coaster lineup can compete with anybody except for maybe Cedar Point. Really sad your experience was not the best when you went.
HOW AM I JUST NOW FINDING THIS CHANNEL?!? Sending lots of love! ❤️
Thank you and welcome!
This park looks amazing. 😀😀😀😃😃😀😀😃😃
This is one of my 3 home parks I visit yearly. I’m glad you were able to experience Kings Island!
Sidenote: You’re one of the few that gave Diamondback a negative review. I personally love that ride and Banshee. I slightly agree with your critique on Mystic Timbers.
they've also rode tons of other coasters so they're comparing those to diamondback which is probably why they didn't like it as much
Shame the park closed early.
I actually enjoyed Kings Island when I visited in May time,. I love the entrance, but the park still has it’s flaws. The Beast is great.
Omg Brett was there ❤️I think if I do a us tour I’d just do the best ones from this series . No way I could keep your schedule . But I’d definitely want to do silver dollar city . I’m sorry you didn’t get the night ride
It was intense but we somehow managed it!
