    Thank you very much. These were my sons favorite cookies and he would buy them at a store. I didn't know there was a recipe for them otherwise I would have made them for him . he has since passed away and I'm wishing that I had made them for him. Because they are very hard to find in our stores. But now I will make them in his memory. Thank you so so much for making it look so easy.

    • @SimplyHomeCooked
      @SimplyHomeCooked  2 года назад +1

      Yes they can! You can take the dough and wrap it tightly and keep it in the fridge for 3 days and you can also make the cookies then freeze them in an air tight container for up to 3 months!

    Can I reduce the amount of sugar as per my taste?

    • @SimplyHomeCooked
      @SimplyHomeCooked  3 года назад

      I have not tried reducing the amount of sugar so I am not too sure. But there is a chance that it could change the ratios and consistency of the cookies.

    Can I add white sugar instead of brown sugar ?

    • @SimplyHomeCooked
      @SimplyHomeCooked  3 года назад

      Hi Nikitha, most people use brown sugar or a mix of white with brown sugar. I have never tried this recipe with only white sugar. :) Hope that helps clarify!

      Thank you for your reply 😊 but I eventually made it with the white sugar and it came out great ,and my husband couldn't stop eating . Is there anyway that i can cut down with the butter?

    • @SimplyHomeCooked
      @SimplyHomeCooked  3 года назад

      You are very welcome! So happy to hear you and your husband loved these cookies! :) Thank you for your feedback :)
      Yes you could cut down a little on the butter if they are a little too greasy for you. However, you don't want to remove too much since you need the butter and sugar to caramelize. Hope that helps :)

      Thank you so much i will definetly try with 5 or 6tbsp of butter because it was very greasy and the entire parchment paper was soaked with butter

    • @SimplyHomeCooked
      @SimplyHomeCooked  3 года назад

      You are welcome :) There will be some residue but the cookies themselves shouldn't be that greasy. I use a silicone baking mat. It helps get a very even circle shape. :)
