    The White Star for me. It's small packs quite a punch and it has organic Vorlon tech. When I first got into Babylon 5 it was the later seasons when you see them and it was an instant hit with me. Being one of my favorite Sci Fi ships.

    The Victory class has a "diffractive armor" that reflects 75% of any enemy fire that makes it past the Vorlon skin that learns to block any energy blast it's been hit with before just leaving the physical impact like the Whitestar.

      @AWS-11H Awesome Don't get hyped. Just be cautiously optimistic. Yes it is The CW. But it also is JMS. So it might be good, or it might be woke trash. Just don't get hyped anymore. Hype is the mind killer, the small death. I shall not hype.

    • @DJRonnieG
      @DJRonnieG 2 года назад +1

      @AWS-11H Awesome that sounds like a good time. Also, been downloading random B5 ship models for my 3D printer and most of them do look like they were ported or repurposed from games. Heck sometimes I wonder if someone yanked some Amigs TV models or whatever was used (probably not that). Still, lots of insanity... without proper tweaking a lot of the models will form a pile of spaghetti on the 3D print bed bed, but I digress.
      I am concerned that JMS will blatantly relate the new shows events to recent politics. As if I haven't seen enough of that in the r/babylon5 in the past year or so.

    I can see if Crusade was on longer a resurgence of the Valen heavy cruiser to fill in the gaps the proposed yet stalled Victory class destroyers would fill. Given a slight revision they could function as carriers and store at least 2 Whitestars in its rear section with a rotation of 4 escorts. While the Victory serves as mainline warship the Valen is carrier duty.

      @@UtopianBroadcast1 Nicely done video, so congratulations.
      Of course, we do have the recurring issue of inconsistent White Star scaling, where for most of season 3 and 4, it's clearly between 120 and 160 meters long, scaled to Omega-class ships, and so on, plus shown as smaller (less than half size?) of a Vorchan in season 5. It only got bumped up in scale to fit a hangar bay for three Nials or one Flyer, and there's some evidence those carried ships may be smaller than often reported. I don't think even the CGI artists kept track of such things, consistently.

    The Victory's main weapon is of Vorlon origin, based off their main gun fired from the combination of 3 "prong" vs the Vorlon's 4. Each firing also caused a massive power drain making it vulnerable for a minute. It was a contemporary of the Earth Forces Warlock cruiser which incorporated acquired Minbari tech and possibly some Shadow tech.

    The Whitestar will always be number one in my books, as it was a small but deadly ship, able to take on ships three times it size and was the backbone of the alliance during both the Shadow war and the Earth Civil War, without it the Alliance would have lost

    Whitestar, by far, is the most 'bang-for-the-buck' here, BUT, the EXCELSIOR Class has to be the best of all. I mean, what other class could have disengaged in hyper-space from a giant space squid intent on Raping it? That the Rangers didn't IMMEDIATELY Make More of these is Perplexing, but I guess the 'plague' gave them 'Covid Pause'. Still. I would have loved seeing a 2.3-scale version, and a 1.7 times, B-4-scale equal being made that withered-away Shadows or Vorlons , and had Fighter-Blue-Stars as it's 12 main Shuttles, plus 24 T-bolts! Of course, the Internal trolley would've be quadrupled to ferry crew about.. Oh, and, 4 'MAGI; deltas, as needed.

    The main gun on the victory class was vorlon tec (based loosely on vorlon design is the quote), as EA and Mimbari didn’t have the power generation required to fire it, the entire ship required 1 minute to recharge each time it was fired. Call To Arms, 23 minutes in explains it first time 👍

    Victory class was more powerful than any Minbari ship. I would say easily equal to 2 Sharlins.
    It’s main weapon was designed to be similar to Vorlon Dreadnought firepower level.
    Victory main weapon used the entire energy output of the ship and the ship was essentially ‘dead’ in space for 30 seconds after firing it.
    This main weapon one shot any ship in the show, including a large Shadow warship we saw in B5 series.
