I've gotta say - I love polarising cars like this. vehicles like this keep car design interesting. I'd much rather have something like this over a terribly boring selection of boring cars that everybody 'likes'
I like it. It seems to have less compromises than most other convertibles. It has a usable back seat and a decent sized trunk for a droptop, and personally, as the owner of a convertible who has to stop the car to put the top up if it starts raining while I'm driving, I'd appreciate being able to operate it on the move. I doubt I'd ever be able to afford one of these but I'm intrigued. Everything Nissan did wrong with the Murano CrossCabriolet, Range Rover seems to have done right.
I like the Benz convertible buses, they are so comfy, lots of head room and it turns heads too, it's also very practical because it carries 40 people max, i'm definitely buying it because why not, every thing is great when it's convertible
This car for sure splits the community and is some kind of a strange mix, which most likely no one has real "need" for. But it is significantly more variable and makes a lot more sence than a Mini Paceman or a Golfsized MaxiMini with 4doors ... and looks better and distinctive at that. btw. Informative and pleasant review, Ginny. Nice-looking too.
I have no doubt that Land Rover (and Car Buyer) will say the Murano is no true off-roader. In any case this is a pricey toy. I wonder if the buyers will be mostly spoiled brats or the parents of spoiled brats. [!]

+Toyota Prius when is the last time you drove a premium diesel engined car , the 70s?? there is practically zero noise from my Mercedes convertible even sat at idle and disappears completely when moving.
Ginny, what do you think of the position of the infotainment screen? Feels like a throwback to screens that were simply slotted into the existing radio position: a little too low for easy glances away from the road, and maybe the angle not quite right?
I'm a fan of the Evoque. It was a genius stroke by Land Rover and I knew when it was rumoured that a convertible would sell in the bucketloads. It's just not for me. It will probably be exclusively driven by women (not trying to be nasty or sexist just being honest) and it's just a bit too flashy. It's also less practical and heavier. Of course, for the people who buy it this all wont matter and I'm sure the right customer will just adore it. Hats off to Land Rover though for making another genius product decision and despite my earlier opinion for making arguably the most desirable cars on the road today (along with sister company Jaguar).
Range Rover needs a badge like BMW or Mercedes to put on steering wheel. The text looks odd and doesn't look very luxurious. The car is interesting though.
Did she even say anything bad about this car? She did mention the huge blind spot and that the 360 degree camera sorted that out. But that doesn't work while driving in motorways?
i love this car. 4 cars rolled into 1 it's a offroader its a suv its a convertible and might be some sportyness aswell. i would by one in a hot second. the only problem is I'm a man and I'm not to sure of that. the fact that a man can drive down the road in it. although on the lr website there is a man driving it. but in all the options you can spec are awesome. price is a bit high but as i said 4 cars rolled into 1. although im more a hardtop convertable type as i believe these are true convertables.
Kind of reminds me of a Mk1 Golf cabriolet from the back, which is a good thing as the hard top version of the Evoque reminds me of an Austin Allegro! Ginny is yummy though :-p
The doors etc. are ridiculously high, people outside will just see a head sticking out, if that. That's not a real convertible feeling, that's the "my car is my castle"-approach. I mean, come on, is this thing amphibious or something? Are people that afraid of everything nowadays that they need this boat of a convertible? Also, you should get a pop-filter for that microphone, sounds like a helicopter pilot at times :)

Its a welcome feature for taller people though. Much better than the typical low sprung convertibles for anyone over 6'1 or 6'2
