- Bromeliads come in all sorts of different sizes! Today we'll take a look at MINI Bromeliads. Their smaller size makes them very versatile and makes them a perfect fit for any space. Growing Mini Bromeliads is really easy.... So come on everybody, "Let's get growing and have some fun!"
Well Said greetings from the Caribbean
Alice is beautiful. Neo's are my favorites can't go wrong there.
I'm going to spend a lot of time with the ones that I have already when we get home.
Question about these mini bromeliads. if you cut a pup from the mother plant, will the mother plant produce more pups?
It can produce more pups but not always guaranteed.
@@wesleyhackney thanks
Our experience is that that some of the Neoregelia hybrids will appear to produce more, but removing the pups just at 1/3 size seems to work better than waiting until they are much larger. Removing them at that size may leave more energy in the parent plant for subsequent pups. But in the end the plant is genetically programmed to produce X number of pups and no more. Thanks for watching!
Hello! I’ve been wanting to ask you if Cryptopanthus and Bromeliads are related?
Cryptanthus is one of the 74 genera of bromeliads, and is very popular. Sometime in the near future we'll be doing an episode of the 'Bromeliad Family Tree' featuring Cryptanthus. Thanks for watching!
