this actually makes alot of sense, i noticed my billbergias do alot better out the front of my house. im located in Australia an my front garden gets some heavy hot sun an the billbergias thrive out the front my small neoregelia's dont so well in the sun. i might try giving my spinner ones some more light
What time of day? Morning, evening or all?
Thanks for all the tips Rusty
Thanks very much!
Most of my bromailds have thick leaves an spines on them so they need indirect sun
Mybronaids are Indoors east sun
Thanks for a great informative video.
What about the color of the bromeliad? Do dark plants require more shade than medium green? What about burgundy color?
Really great questions! Unfortunately there is no broad requirement for either sun or shade when it comes to leaf color... it really can go either way depending on the brom and it's individual genetics. Really appreciate you contributing, thanks so much for watching!
How can scorched leaves be fixed? I rescue a sun burnt one from Home Depot. Will it grow some new leaves?
It really depends on the age of the plant relative to the damage event... if the plant has flowered and entered senescence, it would be more likely to see pups rather than new leaves. But if the plant is not in the reproductive stage, new leaves are still possible. Great question, and thanks so much for watching!
@@islandbreezetropicals1276 Thank you for this answer and for your channel. The plant has produced two pups which is good news.
