I am blown away by your ability to create solutions that are so inexpensive using your intuitive knowledge of how to construct things. I have no ability to visualize these types of things. Thank you for sharing yours in such a clear and easy to follow manner. You are awesome!
Hello Norrine. You have heard my cries for help regarding paint storage! I also appreciate the clear instructions you've provided to complete the project! TYSM for sharing! Take care and see you soon 🤗😘
Glad to see you back! I bought a 36 bottle set of acrylic paint in Dec '22. It came in a nice square cardboard box with no real lid, just the plastic wrap. I was lucky that the whole set fit in a plastic Sterlite shoebox with a clamping lid, that I already had. (so, $0😊). I even had room to put my paintbrushes in it, which decluttered my tool carousel. It is kept on the floor of my craft closet in front of my larger drawer units. Someday, it will be on a shelf, but at least it's right there.
@@TheCraftyOrganizer haha, yes, same here. Now, quilting and papercrafts pretty much have taken over our older daughter's bedroom. But, we still have plenty of sleeping spaces when they all come home for Christmas.
Just loved the glue on glue stick tip…genius! Also loved I can have risers that fit my widths and with cleats - sturdiness to hold weight. Thank you so much!
So happy to see you, Norrine! I hope you got the Christmas card I sent you. It hasn't come back to me, so I am pretty confident it arrived to your PO box by now. Anyway, I love your tiered organizer. I wish I'd seen this several years ago when I was setting up our craft room. I have a rather large medicine cabinet that wouldn't fit in the bathroom I'd gotten it for. (I fell in love with the look, & apparently never considered the depth of it relative to how far the light fixture that would go above it projected from the wall. LOL) Of course, I didn't discover that until after the return window had ended, and like I said, I loved the look. :) Anyway, I was able to put it in the craft room as just a wall cabinet. I keep things like bottles of acrylic paint, Distress stains & paints, ink & mica sprays, etc. Basically, small bottled items, plus some jars of acrylic mediums on the top shelf, & even more less-often-accessed things on the very top of the unit. At the time, I had trouble finding a tiered organizer at the time for the bottom & middle shelves inside so I could fit more bottles on said shelves, because the cabinet is not as deep as most such organizers. I finally found one (I think at Amazon), and got 1 for each shelf. They are expandable width-wise, & fit the depth perfectly. Of course, I haven't seen that particular model/size since. But I could have saved quite a bit of $$$ making my own like you did here. Well, now I know how if I ever need such a thing in the future! :) At any rate, I look forward to your coming videos. I always love seeing what you come up with. Hope y'all had a good holiday season. Happy New Year, take care, & have an awesome day! :)
I have not had a chance to go to the post office - but will try and go today!!!! I am so sorry! I am sure it's there and I can't wait to read it. xoxoxo
Great idea I love it ,I am just starting to organise my craft room which is half of my small bedroom ,it used to be a spare room but with hubbies snoring I have had to move in there lol . Your ideas are amazing thanks for sharing them huni 😉👍❤️
This might be perfect for my spices!!! Just moved and I have a ton of spice bottles and cans. I don’t want to “decant” into matchy match jars - I like the containers they came in and it helps me quickly find everything. Now I can get exact size spice rack that I need/want!
What a creative way to store your paint. I have way too many to be able to do it that way but i just might make one for my spice drawer. Thank you. Happy new year to you and your family. I hope this year has lots of amazing surprises and positive abundance for you. You deserve it. 😊
Happy to hear you are settling in and getting things organized gradually. A move is always hard. I built a shelf that fits snuggly behind my door in my craft room. All recycled materials from wood to screws and even the paint for it was free. It is 8 shelves high and fits craft paint 2 bottles deep.
I used a plastic Rubbermaid style bin, about 18”x 12”x 5” and stored about 40 or more of those paint bottles, upside down so I could see the colors. It fit in a rolling cart shelf. The bin ensured there was no spillage and I could carry the whole bin to another location. I did move and donated the whole bin to a local school. I love what you created and had smaller bottles of my Golden fluid acrylics stored on a nail polish rack that is stepped like what you made, but found I would knock over the lower rows trying to access the bottles in the back, as there wasn’t a lot of room at top to easily reach in. So for clumsier folks like me, don’t make the risers too tall if you make a similar organizer, or add front bumpers to all the rows.
Great to see you! Norrine, in case you had noticed I was gone: I was temporarily off of RUclips (I was busy). Now I have to do around six months of catching up with you 😱
Hello! Just now seeing you for the first time. I subscribed, and Lady,... let me tell you i stayed up til about 3 am last night watching you..😊😊😊. I hope things are well and i just wanted to tell you that i am so happy watching all this! Happy New Year and God bless!
I’m really lucky I have a friend who’s a signwriter and I get large offcuts of foam board and any minion board for free which is great for jobs inside and outside of the house. Lovely to see you back. Happy New Year and great video. Looking forward to all the future ones coming up.
Very clever!!! Love this idea, Norrine! Thanks for sharing and it's lovely to see you back at it! Look forward to seeing more ideas from you! Happy New Year!
Thank you for such clear instructions on how to make this! Ive seen a lot of tutorials showing how to make this same storage organizer with foam board, but most were long and drawn out, too small in width or just sloppy! Your organizer is simple, very sturdy and definitely functional and im super excited to make a few of these for my paints, glitter glues, reinker bottles, and alcohol inks. This is perfect for so many things and is so much cheaper to make than paying the ridiculous price for one premade online, such as the Totally Tiffany Stadium Organizer which I've wanted for years but could never bring myself to pay the ridiculous amount they cost ugh. Thank you again! Love it!
Great idea. Thinking of trying to make something similar out of wood scraps. I don’t like buying plastic or acrylic any more or using foam core . Trying to use cardboard or wood scraps in my craft room or things that I already have. Glad to have you back. ❤
