Hahahaha I had to laugh at this! You know you're an adult when you go to throw a box away and you think, "maybe I should keep this, cause it's a *REALLY* good box" 🤣😂🤣😂
Genious! I'm not a big wine fan.. but, I have friends that are. I will definitely. Share this with them.. and maybe they will share with me lol 😆. I would store HTV scraps in this. Perfect! Tfs
I recently realized that I was a box hoarder. Empty boxes everywhere! So now I have made myself start clearing them out. It's amazing how much space they take up.
I'm a member of the Posh Paper Lady, she is truly AWESOME, and so is your sight... you used the little drawer handles she uses on her boxes, I made the tape holder with the feet, it came out great...
Loved this video because, I, too, love boxes, paper, and contact paper! I am a retired teacher and I always reuse/recycle out of necessity. Probably 30 years ago, I acquired a cheese box from the grocery store. It was a sturdy box that transported 8 big blocks of Velveeta cheese, with dividers much like your wine box. I decorated it up with some fun Contact paper and used it to store markers, crayons, rulers, etc. for my students. I think I am going to get it out of my basement, clean it up, recover it, and repurpose it in my craft room. Thanks for your video. Also, I love The Posh Paper Lady too!
That sounds amazing!!!! I'd love to see pictures of it when you are all done!!! You can share them to my Crafty Organizer page on Facebook: facebook.com/groups/730125317461615/
Every year, our local grocery store offers beer advent calendars with a selection of local brewers' beers; my husband gets the beer, I get the box! each has 24 sections; I paper maché the dividers and box, then make drawers out of tissue boxes cut to size. Those little drawers hold so much! So far, I have 7, so I can organize my small bits & bobs (buttons, threads, jewellery findings, beads, etc.) to my heart's content! My craft room is NOT large, but well-organized and well-used! I don't waste time searching for anything, as I know exactly where things are.
I have those tag/pulls, I have contact paper, I have foam board, I have tape and glue... I just need to figure out what boxes to use. Love love love this idea! I had been thinking of something along these lines myself! Paint pens, phone and other item charger cables, cricut vinyl rolls, small paint bottles.... The sky is the limit! TFS! Stay safe and well. 👏👏👏😊 God bless.
BUTTONS! I have buttons in jars, in boxes on their original cards, in several cute wicker units; having matching buttons in zippered bags so I can see them, then having them sorted by size, color, material or some combination of all would be MARVELOUS! I'm going to post the question for them on my neighborhood HOA sight & see if I can get some! Thank you for this great idea. P.S. I spen all afternoon in my sewing room putting things away and organizing and shook my head several times as I added buttons to the mess they are in now. Great timing!
My dad was a manager at one of the first “legal” ABC (state run liquor store); back then heavy bottles came on wood crates which he brought home. I made two end table to put my boo in beside my bed. I was abou 8 years la . Lol what a walk down memory lane! Thank you.
This unit is great to use for storage in the craft room and so pretty with the contact paper on it. I will be checking with one of my brothers that is always ordering wine, and ask him to save me a box or two. Love the PPL, she makes some wonderful things with directions that are easy to follow, and that always look so posh. Thanks for another wonderful video lesson for this storage unit.
You have the best ideas! So affordable and sturdy! I don’t drink alcohol but I have asked at liquor stores for any boxes they are tossing- one time they gave me 2 wooden display boxes- beautiful boxes! They are usually happy to give the shipping boxes away that they have to flatten and discard- ask them ahead of time and arrange a pick up time for right after they stock shelves.
light bulb went on for me! My son is a general manager at a wine store....he is getting a call from momma!! Such a great DIY and I need it for my new craft room!! Thanks soo much!
You could easily turn each one of those cardboard pieces that held the bottles of wine into a shelf. I instantly thought of a shelf! Just turn it on its side, long ways, and you have a shelf with two ledges!!!! That is a beautiful storage box that you made, absolutely beautiful! Thank you so much for the video and all of your hard work! ♥️
This is amazing! You could also take the corks of the wine bottles and cut them to size and you could just either leave the knob cork or you could stick a gem or a really nice button on the end and use those as pulls
Hi Noreen....thanks for this tutorial, your storage drawers turned out really nice....I watch Sherry as well, isn't she awesome....Take care...stay safe...
Hello Norrine, I saw you on Posh Paper Lady but didn't know where to contact you. I am so glad you two have connected I love her too. I love those trays you got from you wine box. I just have a tip for you, recently I changed some of my storage to narrower 12" x 1 1/4" drawers and smaller cubby 3" drawers. I did this because I have so many smaller items when I make cards and has saved me so much time getting what I want. I put charms, vintage paper clips, resin embellishments, buttons, etc. You get the picture. In the narrower drawers I store paper dollies, lace, wood embellishments, twine, and now I can make my cards much faster. Just sharing. I love these containers for ribbon and do I have a lot of that, I buy 25 yards at a time.
So glad you found the "Posh Paper Lady". It's great when two of my favorite RUclipsr's discover each other. Love this project! For future it might have been easier to do the middle shelf first. Also I hope no one gives you grief.
Extremely creative and it’s quite beautiful. Thanks for the good idea. I would’ve never thought to make a unit with draws with such a low budget. You are truly gifted.❤

You get to decide what you like, why you like, and why you don't. You can sip it all or toss it out and oh...it felt good to make your own decision.
This is a fantastic storage project. It makes me want to join a wine club just to get the boxes. 😂 I guess I will have to channel my inner Posh Paper Lady and craft some drawers using chipboard. Thanks for sharing!
Cool wine boxes! Gotta have...wine too! I think you've done something similar before and i i thoroughly enjoy each time. You are so talented. Thanks for sharing your expertise!
I also love the Posh Paper Lady. I have actually followed her instructions and customized my own boxes from foam core and that exact contact paper. I had planned to make more boxes of different sizes in the near future. However, I believe Ill find some shoe boxes and make this multi drawer unit.
I agree! Too many Amazon boxes. However mine are too big to do anything with. I was saving them to make an archery target. But i think I have a problem!
I don’t drink alcohol, but this almost makes me want to! 😂 I also love the Posh Paper Lady! I’ve used that contact paper to cover sturdy paper boxes for storage. The PPL has also converted me to Reptile Glue & the Fiskers finger blade. The boxes that Velveeta comes in are also very sturdy & could be used for a similar project. 😊
(I know this is not about scrapbooking but, my mother made me a couch for Barbie furniture from a Velveeta cheese box in 1964. I still have it, so, yes, they are very sturdy!)
The upholstery on the cushions behind you looks identical to the contact paper. This little storage unit is genius and I think I like the apothecary pull the best because of the built-in label holder. Nicely done!
This is really cool. 😀 I have a gazillion boxes, but none like yours. Guess I need to start drinking more wine! 😆 As for hardware choices, I'm partial to the glass pull. Thank you for sharing this great idea!
Yes! More wine! 🍷 ;) Stores like Walmart and target have AWESOME boxes that they flatten and throw away all of the time! Talk to whoever is stocking the shelves!!
This is a fabulous idea for cheap organizing. I will use mine on my craft shelf so I Don't have to keep pulling boxes out from under others. Now they will slide out! I will use Nike heavy duty shoe boxes since I have 3 of the same kind and I will put dividers in them as necessary. The foam board is amazingly strong. Thanks Noreen!
Love everything you do. Your great at what you do. Sweet person. I have a sick husband I care for and do you things need house hold wise. Have a blessed day.
The totally Tiffany drawers are usually around $30... Checked her site and Amazon to confirm... Got mine in clearance at JoAnn's and paid about half that and it was well worth it. I'm thinking the drawers might be discontinued or not sold in stores as they are getting harder and harder to find... She had one called a sparkle and spray drawers that has three small drawers at the top and four wider drawers on bottom for various hight bottles. I use the five drawer ones for mixed media supplies, washi tape and full size inks. Was thinking those long narrow inch or two thick word signs from dollar tree would work for sprays and stuff like the one set she has and the letter trays in the pastel colors from 💵🌳 could work similar to the five drawer... Would actually work well for ink cubes I think 🤔
I just checked Amazon, they are on sale...$17.77 for TWO. I have 3 of these drawer sets and they were never very expensive. I use them for my washi tapes.
Norrine, thank you for this! I'm thinking of trying something similar with ramen (gasp!) boxes. The connections aren't very sturdy, but reinforcing them should be pretty straightforward. I will post photos to you, if I complete them. I love The Posh Paper Lady, too, but I haven't watched her for a while.
Yes!!! I'd love to see what you do!!! You can share pictures to my Crafty Organizer page on Facebook: facebook.com/groups/730125317461615/ Can't wait to see what you do!
Only 6 bottles of wine? This last year was more like a 100-bottles-of-wine year!! Love love, love this video! I need to go find some of those trays for my ribbons. This is the best idea I’ve seen!! Thank you!!
Perfect project.I have actually got some of the wooden crates from several wine merchants. One of my favourite wine stores has a humidor section and they have the most wonderful cigar boxes......get to know the store employees they may even save them for you! Most of them are gorgeous boxes and need nothing done to them.😊 Love your storage drawer..........for a few dollars and imagine...........I love posh paper lady too!
Your video showed up in my feed and I'm glad I checked it out! I need so many ideas to organize and this is amazing! Love your sense of humor too! I'll be digging through your videos and checking out more! TYFS 🥰
Great job!!!! I would be excited over those boxes too! (I am a box hoarder!) I love the drawers you made!!! I made an ink pad storage unit for myself out of a wooden shoe rack, cut in half lengthwise, and making foam core shelves and fitting them in the shelving. Then I stacked the two racks on top of each other. Love foam core!!! I would use those drawers to hold various stamping supplies, paint brushes, and foam brushes. Oooooh! Maybe washi tape!!! Thank you so much for sharing your tips and tricks, I have learned so much from you!
Your ink pad storage sounds genius!!!! Would you mind sharing pictures?? You can share them to my Crafty Organizer page on Facebook: facebook.com/groups/730125317461615/
This project is mind blowing!!! I need to order wine!!! Just kidding but I'll surely be visiting local wine shops to look for some similar boxes. I love The Posh Paper Lady and follow her ahh-mazing tutorials. Sherry's actually where I heard about you. 💗 I would COMPLETELY LOVE a walk-through video of your craft space showing up-close details of all of your gorgeousness!!! If you already have such a video, let me know. I absolutely adore your craft room. Bless you and enjoy the day. Karen in Marshfield, MO.
When I saw your intro picture I immediate thought of poshpaperlady. Love her new series is great. Great job on the organizer. I'm sure people resell these boxes without the wine 😉
@@TheCraftyOrganizer no I think you see things and see what they can become. Gives you the opportunity to create a unique piece out of simple items people discard.
We have a “wine of the month” subscription and occasionally get a bonus shipment. We are now on the process of downsizing/moving. Hurray - we have wine boxes for packing. Love them - super sturdy and a good size to carry.
They are the best packing boxes! My last housemate was a wine collector, and had a storage unit’s worth of boxes up in the attic space over the garage. We managed at least two moves for 3 or more people without finishing all those boxes! They are GREAT boxes for moving!
I reuse boxes for my storage all the time. I have lots of unused paper pads. So I cover my boxes with paper. I add a bit of lace or bling and I have great storage solutions. I love this idea. I am off to look for some wine drinkers.
Thank you Norrine!!! I love this and I love the posh paper lady Sherry!!! Thank you for sharing and I hope to see a recent update soon, missing you!!!💖
Love it! I have always been a stickler for recycling boxes. I love using boxes from copying paper or boot boxes for extra storage. it does remind me of cardboard boxes that I used to buy years ago.
Hahahaha I had to laugh at this! You know you're an adult when you go to throw a box away and you think, "maybe I should keep this, cause it's a *REALLY* good box" 🤣😂🤣😂

I do that too!
The struggle is real... to go more minimalist or to keep stuff for creativity! Lol!

Hi Norrine. Yes I also subscribe to the Posh Lady. I like her projects. I will be trying to do the totes.
Yay!!! Let me know how it goes. :D
I would have immediately thought the same thing when I saw the boxes l love the Posh Paper Lady!
😊 How are you feeling???? Hope you are back to 100% 💜
@@TheCraftyOrganizer I am much better! Last test came back negative for Covid!

That's a great idea to put personal, hair and even make up. The tip shelf could hold a stand mirror. Thank you for sharing your idea.💓

This project is mind blowing!!! I need to order wine!!! Just kidding but I'll surely be visiting local wine shops to look for some similar boxes. I love The Posh Paper Lady and follow her ahh-mazing tutorials. Sherry's actually where I heard about you. 💗
I would COMPLETELY LOVE a walk-through video of your craft space showing up-close details of all of your gorgeousness!!! If you already have such a video, let me know. I absolutely adore your craft room. Bless you and enjoy the day.

Great job , like always Tfs hugs Frenchie from Florida ♥️
Thank you! 🤗
When I saw your intro picture I immediate thought of poshpaperlady. Love her new series is great. Great job on the organizer. I'm sure people resell these boxes without the wine 😉
I would have bought them at a garage sale, if I saw them! LOL Does that mean I have a box problem???
@@TheCraftyOrganizer no I think you see things and see what they can become. Gives you the opportunity to create a unique piece out of simple items people discard.
Awesome. I’m definitely going to make one of those maybe more LOL. Thanks for sharing 😁🌹
Please do! Take pictures when you are done! You can share them to my Crafty Organizer page on Facebook: facebook.com/groups/730125317461615/
I have a bunch of boxes from my cable computer. They might work for this. Great inspiration!
That's a great idea!
Incredible up cycle!! Love it!
Thank you, Gypsy!
Such a great idea.. great boxes
Yes, I watch the the Posh lady... She's amazing.....
I am so impressed! It looks so nice and professionally done! I liked the apothecary pulls. Glad you picked them, ❤️
Me too!!
Banana boxes are really sturdy. Bigger than the wine boxes but sturdy and could be cut down.
Great tip!!!!!
Me too!! I remember getting those in the 80's!!!
Awesome piece 👏 🎉
Thank you so much 😀
