It’s such a joy being able to watch your daily videos with great knitting tips, excellent comments and conversation. And in the background, the precarious but beautiful gingerbread house….fingers crossed it remains standing until Carlos smashes it with a little hammer. I see the Beetle emerging with a tree on top and there must be 2 handsome Norwegian princes inside with a pup or two? Merry merry Christmas to all and good health and happiness in the new year. ❤
The contest is so much fun! I enjoy revisiting the tale of the two princes and their adventure bringing home their tree on the top of the VW beetle (bug). Though the vw broke down all ended well. We have a lovely story to tell
I just want you to know, I have never really been a knitter, more a crocheter, but I still wouldn't miss any one of your knitting tips programs because I get to enjoy the two of you. You are my morning smiles, and often, laughter as well. Thank you for brightening my day.🥀🌺🌻
I love that Arne is going to put the comments in his journal. I see the gingerbread house is still standing! I think that it is the VW beetle with the Christmas tree on top. These are great knitting tips!
The beetle carrying the Christmas tree!!!!! I love the knitting tips. Where has this been my whole life!!!!! ❤. These tips are tremendous in improving our knitting.
You two are a breath of fresh air in today's unstable world. Your uplifting mood, loving exchange in conversation, and great knowledge of your craft are a true gift to our world. I love your beautifully knitted sweaters and all the Christmas display that you worked so hard on. One show that I still laugh about is your trip in your new electric car. I don't remember details anymore, but you had difficulties finding charging stations. Maybe it is the beetle hidden under all these treasures. Thanks for bringing us these happy moments.
Thank you both for working so hard with your team to film all these daily Christmas episodes before you left for North America! It makes me so happy to see you both every day in December. I fall asleep listening to past episodes. The picture on the tray is the VW beetle carrying the Christmas tree. Be well and enjoy relaxing at home!
I find your podcast totally relaxing and informative. Thank you for sharing so much about your lives and your crafting skills. The picture on the tray is the VW beetle carrying a Christmas tree.
I think it's a beetle with a Christmas tree. Your advent videos are something I look forward to each day. Sometimes I watch with my morning tea, sometimes I save it for after work! ❤
Today's tip is timely because I have mittens in process now - thank you. The Christmas ball is just right! Last year my daughter suggested using balloons inside my newly knitted unstuffed balls. Slipping a deflated white balloon inside and blowing produced a perfect shape. After Christmas, the balls were stored flat and saved room. They are a nice reminder of the gentle spirit you both share with us. I'm certain not to be the only one who is so very grateful for you. You are loved! xx
I think what is hidden under the christmas sweaters is the beautiful embroidered picture Arne did of the beetle with the Christmas tree on top from the wonderful story of the two Scandinavian Princes. Such a beautiful piece of embroidery! Any chance you might publish that story into a beautiful illustrated book? Thanks for all the sharing and all the great knitting tips!
I just re-watched the Norwegian folk tale of the very handsome Norwegian princes sitting in the Beetle with the tree on top and waving to the crowds from the platform of the tow truck. I hope those princes are enjoying the holiday season!
I recommend you to everyone i meet who knit. Watching your videos are part of Christmas now. Thank you for the joy you bring us all. I'm guessing the tree on top of the beetle
All the way from Northern California, Kathy Jones here. The hidden motif underneath is a picture of your VW with a Christmas tree on top. I love joining you for your kindness. Thank you 😊
It’s your VW beetle, with the Christmas tree on top, all decked out for the holidays. I am so enjoying your daily tips and banter. Keeps me smiling and laughing.
Love today’s Christmas ball! Funny how a small change in perspective can make such a such a difference….also true in life! And, it’s the Beetle with a tree on top!
The Beetle with a Christmas tree on top! Love seeing you both every day! Thank you for the knitting tips. I think the gingerbread house is going to make it to the Smashing Day 🔨
I love seeing the picture emerging every day! I think it's from the story of when the two princes took the beetle to get a christmas tree, but then the trusty beetle broke down
It's great to get all those tips! Many I've seen in previous episodes but repetition is good for memorising ;) The tray is the tale of the two princes who broke down with their beetle when they wanted to bring their Christmas tree home.
The mystery tray has a needle point of Arne’s volkswagon bug with a Christmas tree on it. It represents the story of your break down when bringing home the perfect tree for the holidays. You also broke down not to long ago and rode on the back of the tow truck! Long live the Bug!
I am not a knitter but I love to watch you both with my coffee. I do love to craft when I can. I al love to learn about Norway and Sweden. Thank you both for making my day.
I just love watching you two, my husband even asked, “ did you watch your friends yet?” You are so much better to watch than the news! I think it’s your Volkswagen mug with the tree under all the sweaters
I cannot thank you both enough for the annual advent videos. Your tips have been awesome. I think the motif is a VW Beetle with all of you in it and a Christmas Tree on top.
I hope you never get tired of hearing how happy you two make everyone. Thank you for the advent series, the beautiful setting, the lovely tray with the beetle/christmas tree. Thank you for YOU! Enjoy your holidays in your lovely, cozy home.

Really enjoying these daily visits and appreciate all the hard work that goes in to putting these together ❤. I suspect the picture is the 2 Norwegian princes in their Beetle 😊
Just want to add how much I enjoy all your videos. You are my favorite you tubers for many reasons, but I much respect how real you both are. Many people edit and redo, but you allow everyone to see the oops and are very humble about it all and maintain such a good sense of humor. I love the gingerbread house and think the design is fantastic and thanks for embracing the fact it didn't turn out the way you wanted. You both are the best!!
Embroidered "Christmas Tree Beetle" I love how you just sit on the couch and gab and we get to be a part of this. Loved the pasta story. I bet it was a funny commercial.
i am quite taken with the gingerbread story, it adds an exciting element to the wait for Christmas. I am much enjoying hearing the comments and knitting tips. Beetle with the tree on top story was very memorable.
Great tip today! And the house is still standing! Christmas miracle. Looking forward to seeing more of the Volkswagen Beetle with the tree on top. Thank you gentleman, you are the best.
So fun seeing you every day! And I love the addition of the gingerbread house. So far I've resisted making one because other people's always look so amazing. Thank you for lowering the bar for the rest of us 🤣 (Sticking with my guess of the Christmas tree on top of the Beetle)
I love today's Christmas ball with a rosemaling-type motif! Ir could sit inside that beautiful platter you used on a previous episode. Thanks fir the tips and the laughs.
This is one tip I use all the time! Pick up the loose bar and knit it together with the next stitch. Works every time 👏 I’m watching that gingerbread house 🤭.
It´s St. Nikolaus-Day in Austria today, where good children receive apples, nuts and sweets, the bad one´s get a rod. I got your wonderful advice for preventing holes when knitting the thumb - thank you so much for it! The secret on the tray is a VW-Beetle with your chtistmas tree on top.
It's refreshing to hear about St. Nikolaus day. I grew up in Switzerland and came to America almost 50 years ago. Samichlaus Tag will forever be with my memories from the old country. Our 3 kids were always visited by Samichlaus and his helper Schmutzli on December 6th. Today I bought tangerines just for old times' sake. Enjoy your evening!
Happy Tuesday! My favorite knitting hack today! My reminder poem: 'knit the purl in the back, to close the gap.' Today's Christmas ornament pattern reminds me of (I'm about to fly my meteorology geek flag right now) the Earth's jet stream patterns. Swirly twirly from top to bottom. 💞 The gray beetle gathering the tree on the tray is the hidden treasure. 🎄
I'm really enjoying watching you each day in December! Love the mugs, too bad you can't give anymore hints. Its been fun watching a little bit more of the Beetle each day. Soon we'll see Christmas tree on top!
My husband uses a knife to crack eggs too! Like many others I think the motif is the beetle carrying the Christmas tree 🎄 Thanks for doing these, it’s so nice to see you both every day. Even if it’s just on online. 😊

No matter what kind of day I am having, I can count in your podcasts to bring me joy. I am sorry your gingerbread house failed, however your podcast was a success. You taught so many valuable lessons: Be brave and dream big, learn that not everything will succeed the first time, learn to laugh at yourself when you fail, determine to keep trying with confidence that you will succeed, use resources and people to help when needed (i.e, asking Anna for her expertise), and to open your hearts and take joy in each moment. Love you guys!
What a cool rosemaling ball for today! I agree it looks very nice going vertical. I also can see more of the embroidered VW bug with the Xmas tree on top under the pile of sweaters. I love how you banter with each other!
I ran out of the ingredients before I made your protein buns before…..thanks for reminding me! I’ll have to hunt down the recipe again. Loving all your tips and comments and you’re right…..that is a particularly attractive Christmas ball. So far in your marathon filming session you’re doing quite well! Dying to see if you’re completely done in by the 24th. I imagine Arne will be completely giggly by then!
Arne's embroidery of the VW Beetle with the tree on top. You can't appreciate the adventure of the two princes unless you have driven a vintage Beetle on a snowy day! 🥶 🤣😘
We also have a tutorial about how to close those holes. You will find it here: ruclips.net/video/UMWRP26WlOE/видео.html
