I love watching you cook. I'm looking forward to 2023 videos. I also now knit your way apart from purl. I also knit with 5dpn now as well. So thanks for making knitting a pleasure for me. Thank you. Cynthia
I love that you are steering more towards lifestyle. I am an avid knitter but what I love the most about Arne and Carlos is your appreciation of the simple pleasures found in all cultures. I look forward to hearing your gardening, cooking and thrifting adventures. 🏠🏡🏡
Can't wait to see the excitement of breaking into the gingerbread castle and all the sweets inside! Arne will be in Heaven! It will be nice to see the embroidery of your VW with the tree on top again! ❤️🎄😘
I love all the joy you bring to your podcasts. It’s a great antidote to all the doom and gloom on the news. The design on the embroidered cloth is your VW carrying a Christmas tree.
Yup....definitely the beetle with the Christmas tree and handsome princes. A funny story - when I was in high school in winter in Montana we had a big snow storm which buried the cars. My art teacher had a beetle. Boys from the football team lifted her beetle up and over the snow drifts and she happily drove home while the rest of the people continued digging their vehicles out. Love you guys.
You are absolutely right. You are more than just ‘the knitting guys’. I love all your forms of creativity. The motif on the tray is a cross stitch of your VW beetle
Got to this episode late today, but I still enjoyed it. I love Carlos’s socks! And the motif on the tray is still of the Norwegian princes bringing their Christmas tree home on top of their VW Beetle 😄
This knitting tip was very helpful. I could never understand why it was recommended, even vehemently, but it was how Arne explained it in his kind yet direct way that brought sense as to why you should not wash and block a swatch. These tips are just wonderful! What an awesome idea for this year's advent series. Just as you both receive the best comments in your stockings, we too find a pearl of knitting knowledge in our own (virtual) stockings. The tips help to improve our knitting, the ambience gives us joy and warms our hearts. . . ❤️
Let’s put it this way, I came for the knitting and stayed for alllll the things! You two definitely have so much to offer your community. Like a cross stitch of a beetle with a tree on top…😉
It has to be the Beetle with the Christmas tree on top! I look so forward to sitting and knitting with you each day (sometimes I get to watch a week's worth of videos on the weekend). You're a bright light and I really appreciate your efforts.
Haha, the house is still standing and the motif on the tray is still your sweet VW Beetle! These tips and Christmas balls are so great! Thank you for inviting us into your beautiful home!
The mystery tray has a needle point of Arne’s volkswagon bug with a Christmas tree on it. It represents the story of your break down when bringing home the perfect tree for the holidays. You also broke down not to long ago and rode on the back of the tow truck! Long live the Bug!
Day #7 - I became a grandmother today for the very first time. My daughter had a son ! So exciting. Mom & baby doing very well and Reid is the cutest baby ever - he really is adorable! My guess today is Volkswagen Beetle with a Christmas tree up top ! xo
The motif is simply perfect! The embroidery of your Beetle with Christmas Tree fastened to its rooftop- complete with red bow & Christmas balls. A grand remembrance of 2012 Adventure of 2 Princes & their quest to find that perfect Christmas tree!
I love it when you 'mix it up'! So in the spirit of things... I will too...the motif on the tray may be a Christmas tree enjoying its travels on top of a stylin' VW Beetle! 🤗💖 Wait!! A traditional folkloric fairytale! The Two Princes, the broken down chariot and the gas station Christmas Tree!!🎄💖
Thank you for today's knitting tip. It never made sense to me either, why you would block your swatch before measuring. Sometimes I think that we make things too complicated these days, and I love your no nonsense approach to knitting...and life.
Looking forward to seeing the VW bug with the Christmas tree on top, as well as Carlos smashing the gingerbread house! I love the idea of this channel becoming more of a lifestyle channel, but please always keep the knitting portion in it!
Nice post today Arne and Carlos. The comments you are sharing really do show how much you are appreciated by your viewers; you are for everyone, not just knitters. As for the VW Beatle, carrying a Christmas tree - We will see a little bit more tomorrow. I look forward to it. "God Kveld"
I am so thankful for the knitting tips. I am amazed at how easier the Norwegian pearl is. I have felt so out of place among continental stitchers. I was taught by my mother and grandmother your style of knitting and they were Puerto Rican. Wow. Imagine that, my grandmother learned dressmaking, lace making, knitting and crocheting from her aunts who raised her. From Jane Robinson of Carlisle Pennsylvania USA
My husband loves you guys as well. You both always make us laugh. He is not a knitter but enjoys the hats and scarves I make him. I think you are both standing by the Beetle in the embroidery.
As always, what a joy it is watching your daily videos and getting great knitting tips. Last year I made the 24 mini sweaters and my grandkids were so excited to see their little gifts inside each day. They put the sweaters on their tree which looked so festive and unique. Thank you for all you send our way to encourage our creative talents to shine and attempt things we would never try without your guidance. I see the Beetle emerging and suspect there is a tree on top with 2 handsome Norwegian princes inside and perhaps a furry friend or two….recreating the Norwegian princes fetching a tree in their sleigh. Merry Christmas everyone. May the new year bring good health and happiness to all. ❤
I still believe that the image is the beetle with a Christmas tree on top! Thank you for all types of content you create. I love to watch all your shows. They always make me smile :)
We also love your lifestyle and the various interest that makes your channel so very fresh and interesting. I love the comments that you read. How special this has become to hear the many positive reviews. Absolutely, I learned the Norwegin purl through you and now my knitting interest is at the best. Genius remarks Arne with blocking and steaming. As you knit you do not block and steam while you are knitting. Very great note and important.
I see a bug! But is it yellow? Love it! And Arne, your method of purling has really helped me so much. I have been knitting since I was eight years old and I am now in my 75 year. To me, my ribbing was never even and it frustrated me. Arne, you have saved my sanity!! My ribbing is now beautifully even and I am happy!
I do not knit but do cross stitch while watching for several years now. We visited Norway and you two bring back memories and lots of laughs. Love the gingerbread house episode. So funny. I think you beetle is on the table…just like the cup I am drinking from now. Bonnie
Another great tip and another fun episode! Looking forward to seeing the VW in all its glory. I think it is a true story with the names changed: 2012 the two princes finally found a tree and put it on the roof but then the 1968 VW Beetle chariot broke down They rode home in style on the back of a tow truck, Arnie commemorated the princes’ journey with a lovely embroidery, that is hidden under the sweaters.
Christmas is Arne and Carlos! Arne and Carlos are Christmas! I look forward to this time of the year every year, and especially because of the joy and happiness you both bring to this special time of year. Thank you. And my guess is that the picture is a Christmas tree on the beetle.
Love your channel I found you through The Last Homely House ..I'm so happy Kate mentioned your channel because I don't knit I don't think I would have found you on my own.. Your darling dog and your sweet banter along with your beautiful home as the scenery always makes this Grammy s day better brings sunshine to my day
I am finding the knitting tips very helpful. My mom taught me to knit the left hand carrying the yarn when I was 7 yrs old - I knit a dog collar with Timmy 's name on it. I think she must have done the name in duplicate. I am knitting red and white ornaments - little hats with Nordic pattern knit in -very fun. it will be fun to see the Norse beetle with the tree and princes stitched into it:)) Have a wonderful wonderful advent season.
Your gingerbread house with a ribbon makes me feel so lighthearted. It reminds me to not take myself - and my perfectionistic tendencies too seriously! Thank you for this! The tray is definitely a needlepoint of your Volkswagon Beetle and I expect that it is Arne's handiwork and therefore has a Christmas tree tied to the top. I love it that you love Christmas and Christmas traditions. Thank you for sharing yours.
That’s what I adore the most, all of your interests. We are kindred spirits, the clue is the beetle with your Christmas tree on top!!!! Your gingerbread house is standing ❤.

Maybe a sign saying Merry Christmas too!

Thank you for all you do and for your gift of sharing (knowledge, creativity, your lives!) I am relatively new to knitting, but you two have given me great confidence. I think Santa is in a VW beetle carrying a Christmas tree on top.
