When I bought your Christmas Balls book many years ago, little did I know how important you two would become to me some day. Your videos helped keep me sane during Covid, and then in May of this year I had the amazing experience of joining your Italy gardens tour. You both are just as sweet, kind and funny in person as you are on RUclips ❤ Thank you for continuing with SAKFAB. And, it looks like a needlepoint or cross-stitch picture of your VW Beetle on the tray!
It's the tale of the 2 Scandinavian princes and their hunt for the perfect Christmas tree! Unfortunately, their beetle breaks down and they have to stand in the cold waiting for a tow truck. Eventually they make it home to decorate their tree. Thank you Arne and Carlos, you never fail to brighten my day😃
Your slowly sloping gingerbread house reminds me of an apartment house I lived in when we lived in NY's east village: when a bus went by my records would skip. :) I can see the Beetle with the Christmas tree emerging even more clearly. Thank you for your wonderful, life-saving podcasts during covid and for these as well.
When I was gifted the book Norwegian Knits with a Twist, I had no idea that you would become so important to me. My friend described it as these two really adorable Norwegian guys and there were a couple of patterns she wanted me to teach her how to make. Although I was an experienced knitter, I had trouble picturing how to do reversable knitting. A few years later I discovered your channel while searching for how to do something. I was immediately hooked and you pulled me into RUclips. It was such an honor to meet you this fall in Maryland. I just went back and rewatched the Dec. 23, 2020 episode, and loved it. The story is the two princes -- one from Norway and one from Sweden and their adventures one year trying to find a Christmas tree. I cannot wait to see you again in August. I love reading the comments from other knitters around the world. Such a great community.
It fills my heart with joy to see how much you both mean to so many, including myself. One comment today let me see I am not the only one who watches you while fighting with cancer. My best to the others in this battle. I feel extra blessed having met you before covid. The connection through these little boxes you guys formed during covid has become a lifeline for many people. It reminds us that we are not alone in such difficult times. Covid is less a concern these days but other issues and problems keep people under great stress. Sakfab is a refuge from the stress. Under the sweaters is the image of the beatle with the Christmas tree.
Hi friend. Surely Arne & Carlos (and their designs) were the best antidote for me going through cancer treatment last year. I hope and pray you are well now.
Tusen takk for taking the time to record all of these episodes before traveling. Det er så snill. Arne, I took your advice and have been using Duolinguo to learn Norwegian! Du og Carlos har en snill hund og jeg har tre morsom katter (is that correct?). Today’s ball is lovely. And the picture of the Beetle is getting more and more obvious. I can’t wait to see who is inside. The two handsome princes, I hope, and maybe a dog or two? And a Christmas tree on top!
Hi Carol -I’ve been using Duolingo for Norwegian too and am really enjoying it! I started in preparation for the October knitting cruise (which was fabulous!). I have also been doing an audio course call Pimsleur that I get it through Audible. It’s good for improving pronunciation. The University of Oslo also has a free intro course that provides grammar rules and a great videos with an instructor names Harold to improve pronunciation. Even though the cruise is over, I’m continuing to learning Norwegian because I bought one of Arne & Carlos’ books in Norwegian and want to go back to Norway as soon as possible!
@@stefanieblihovde9673 thank you for posting this information. I've been learning Norwegian for about 18 months but my grammar has a lot to answer for 😅 I'll go take a look at the Oslo uni course 😀
"The Very Handsome Princes and the Christmas Beetle No-GoGo," or, "Two Nuts for Christmas." But first - My wife of 42 years and I have found great joy in watching your videos. We love seeing how you relate to each other, especially in your cooking videos. There is something so familiar and delightful in the back-and-forth bantering. Clearly a rich relationship with lots of history. So on to that history in the fairy tale! This beautiful embroidery memorializes the tale from many years ago when two very handsome and charming princes, one from Sweden and one from Norway, ventured out on a very cold and snowy Christmas Eve to cut down the perfect Christmas tree. As they drove in their 1968 Beetle that had NO HEAT, they passed many blue mountains and soon discovered that the snow surrounding them made their little car invisible. If they were trying to fight dragons, this would have been good cover, but alas, they only wanted a tree to take home to their castle and decorate, and they could not find one in all that snow. They turned around and headed to the nearest town, still a long way away, to find the gas station that was selling tees. When, after much wiping of the windows so they could see, they found their gas station, there was, miraculously, one tree left. And indeed it was perfect, or so the story has come to be told. The Norwegian Prince who was a master of all things string and rope tied the tree securely to the top of the Beetle and they headed back through the snow to their castle. But, their trusty Beetle, having been through so much, was tired and could go no further. They were able to find a rescuer who could tow them but it took a long time, hours it seemed, for him to come. While they waited, they imagined how they would decorate their tree with the beautiful knitted balls they had made just for this special year. As they were towed home, some remember to this day the sight of a DECORATED tree on top of a broken down white as snow Beetle. And they lived happily ever after... once they got their new TV!
We love the folktale about the Two Handsome Scandinavian Princes and their epic quest to find the Christmas tree of their dreams! Arne's embroidery commemorating the tale is a work of art. Thank-you for all you do. We are so grateful to you both. 🎄💖🤗
The story of the Scandinavian princes driving all over in their vintage beetle looking for a Christmas tree. An excellent episode and a classic Christmas story.
The motif is of the mishap of the Norwegian princes in search of the perfect Christmas tree in the 68' Volkswagen Beetle. Thank you for your wonderful sit and knit for a bit, I am not a knitter but a crocheter and love to listen to you both as I am working on my projects. You are both so kind and funny and bring joy to my life!
OMG! You read out my comment yesterday 🎉 I can’t believe it! It made my day. I think the tray depicts the Fairy Tale of the Two Princes, the Christmas tree and the VW Beetle 🤴🏻🤴🏻🎄🚗 Sending you lots of love, Sam xxx
The motif is Arne's embroidery honouring the classic Christmas folktale about the Two Handsome Scandinavian Princes, and their epic, albeit challenging, quest to find the Christmas tree of their dreams. Fortunately, they did find their tree, and it rode home majestically on the roof of their gallant steed/VW beetle bug, atop the flatbed of a tow truck. Hey, everyone loves a parade! I imagine the Princes being greeted with much celebration as they rode through town. Definitely an adventure to remember. Absolutely love the knitted balls adorning that beautiful evergreen. Thank-you for making our advent this year just a little bit extra special. 🎄💖🤗
Well my 1st attempt of knitting Christmas balls, the first one was so fun and easy to knit I could not wait to knit the second one, it’s important to read the detailed basic instructions before beginning, now I am attempting the second one again and finally I get it! The Norwegian wool is so forgiving when I had to rip and reunite several times! The Advent episodes were a highlight of my December. Thank you so much. The contest to guess the hidden picture was genus and finally I figured it out the tale of Two Princes!
It's almost 2023! Feeling rather excited about this year. Thank-you for all of the inspiration! 😊The motif on the tray is Arne's embroidery commemorating the classic Tale of the Two Handsome Scandinavian Princes, and their quest to find the Christmas tree of their dreams. More specifically, their white (bluish white) chariot, carrying the spoils of their journey, complete with lovely knitted baubles. I can't wait to start knitting balls for next year. Thank-you for such a joyous, informative, and inspirational advent. 🎄💖🤗
Loved, loved, loved the fairy tale of the two princes and their adventure in getting their Christmas tree home on top of the VW. What a fun way to remember the night with an embroidered tray with beetle, tree, and beautiful decorations.
The beetle and Christmas tree from the tale of 2 handsome Scandanavian princes searching for a Christmas tree. Your love and playfulness is a bright spot in my day
I enjoyed your true fairy tale of the Two Charming Scandinavian Princes and the Search for the Perfect Christmas Tree! This is the fairy tale which is depicted on your tray - a Volkswagen Beetle with a Christmas tree on top. It is actually what I guessed it was back in the first few days of December. Thank you very much for sharing your love of knitting and your wonderful life! My daughter and I enjoy watching your videos together. You inspired her to learn to knit! (I learned as a child, so I have been knitting for a while) Thank you again for bringing joy to so many people around the world.
The tray represents the wonderful story of the two Scandinavian princes who, while searching for the perfect Christmas Tree, suffer the breakdown of their beloved Beetle. Such a wonderful story. You always know how to bring us all into your world.
The story of the 'fed up' Scandinavian Princes trip to find a Christmas Tree is what is depicted on the Needlework Tray. I am hoping there will soon be a needlework tray with the story of the Two Scandinavian Princes building their first gingerbread house!
The motif is Arne's embroidery commemorating the Tale of Two Handsome Scandinavian Princes, and their (mis)adventurous quest to find the Christmas tree of their dreams. Their mighty steed (a bluish white classic VW beetle bug) stands proudly with the spoils upon its back - a lush evergreen adorned with lovely hand-knitted baubles. I think the first ball I knit for next year will have to be the one of the beetle with the tree on its roof, in honour of this being my family's first advent with you both. The first of many to come, we hope. Thank-you for the joy, the humour, and the inspiration. 🎄💖🤗
I’ve shared the fable of the TWO HANDSOME SCANDINAVIAN PRINCES with friends because it is so delightful and entertaining. And combining two of my treasures-the two handsome princes and Downton Abbey-into one Christmas Eve story was priceless!
Thank you for the joy, joy, joy you bring us! And so many lessons and knitting tips, so very appreciated!! The motif on the tray is the Tale of the Two Norwegian Princes and their adventures with a Christmas tree and the Beetle!!!
It took some searching but the Tale of two Norwegian Princes who search for the perfect Christmas tree and unfortunately suffer the breakdown of their Beetle…. Great tale and beautiful motif on the tray!! You brightened my Advent. Thank you so much
The motif is the unknown fairytale about the two Scandinavian princes the VW beetle and the Christmas tree. Thank you for making the holidays so magical
I very much enjoyed the fairy tale of the two Scandinavian Princes and their extended search for the perfect Christmas tree in their vintage VW. I'm glad they arrived home even though they experienced many pitfalls and delays on the way. Love your RUclips presentations. They make my day.
Thank-you for making advent extra special. Love the motif on the tray of the VW beetle bug from the Tale of the Two Handsome Scandinavian Princes, and their quest to find the Christmas tree of their dreams. So glad it ultimately had a happy ending. Definitely a new Christmas classic. 💖🎄🤗
On behalf of my daughter and me, thank you for the amazing, gorgeous patterns, videos and spirit bring me and everyone!! The tray is from the lovely tale of the Two Handsome Scandinavian Princes in search of a perfect Christmas tree. The story has the beetle breaking down, getting roadside service but eventually make it home with the tree for a beautiful Christmas decoration!!
Thank-you for making advent extra special. Love the motif on the tray of the VW beetle bug from the Tale of the Two Handsome Scandinavian Princes, and their quest to find the Christmas tree of their dreams. Love the folktale, as well. I could listen to it on repeat and not get bored. 😊So glad it ultimately had a happy ending. Definitely a new Christmas classic. 💖🎄🤗
I'm not one for New Year's resolutions, but I do love starting a new year with new knitting challenges and goals. Knitting Christmas balls is top of my list for 2023. Along with the classic "I'm going to start all my Christmas gift knitting early this year," of course. Pretty sure I can combine the two. Speaking of classics, Arne's embroidered commemoration of the new classic Christmas folktale of the Two Handsome Scandinavian Princes, and their quest to find the Christmas tree of their dreams, is absolutely fabulous. What a beautiful design and such perfect stitches. Thank-you both for a magical advent. Already looking forward to next year. 🎄💖🤗
As cross stitch and embroidery are an important part of my Ukrainian ancestry, I absolutely adore Arne's depiction on the tray of the VW beetle bug from the Christmas folktale about the the Two Handsome Princes, and their quest for the Christmas tree of their dreams. Happily, they did ultimately return to their castle with their prize, though the spoils were hard won. Much sacrifice was endured, but a happy Christmas was had throughout their realm. Thank-you both for a lovely advent season. Can't wait to see what is to come in the new year. 🎄💖🤗
Thank you for sharing the story of the 2 princes looking for a Christmas tree and displaying it on the tray and Christmas ball. Thank you for all of the laughs and sharing your knowledge and warmth. Have a very Happy 2023!!! You deserve it.
The best Norway fairy tale of Christmas! Two Princes! Waving from the beetle, with the tree on top from the flat bed toe truck. All the Princes needed were Santa hats to complete the story!
Dear handsome Scandinavian princes, Your fable has brought me so much joy and laughter! Thank you for sharing your creativity in knitting as well as in storytelling. Your 24 knitting tips this Advent are invaluable. I need to go back and watch the episodes again and write them down to have them at my fingertips. Thank you for all you do to make all of our lives brighter and more connected. May you have a blessed holiday season.
Can't wait to start knitting some Christmas balls! Just as soon as I finish these last few late gifts. Phew! It's been a marathon with needles. I think the first ball I do will have to be the one with the VW beetle with the Christmas tree on top, in honour of Arne's embroidered motif on the tray, which happens to commemorate the Tale of the Two Handsome Scandinavian Princes, and their epic quest to find the Christmas tree of their dreams. Love that folktale! It's adventurous, suspenseful, educational, and relatable. Thank-you for the joy! 🎄💖🤗
The two Handsome Scandinavian Princes had looked high and low for the perfect Christmas tree. They finally found it and loaded it on top of their VW Beetle to take it home but on the way the little car broke down. They had to call for help and finally the gas station's truck came and they loaded the car and the tree and the Princes onto the back of the truck to get them all back home. The Christmas tree was decorated with knitted Christmas balls and a big red bow. Thank you, Arne & Carlos, for giving my brain a good workout and for making this Advent so much fun for all of us. Bless you for making me laugh so much.
I love every minute that I spend with you two! The motif shows the story of the two Princes in a Beetle with a Christmas tree on top decorated with your knitted Christmas balls.
I looked up your fairy tale of 2 Norwegian princes looking for a Christmas tree on Christmas Eve, and their car broke down. They are soooo cold, and then when they finally get home their TV brakes down. Thanks so much for sharing the tale and the picture and the laughter! Things that seem awful at the time can bring the gift of laughter later. Of course that is the picture on the tray, and I want to make that ball! Have a very Happy 2023! You deserve it. 🎉
Such a great Advent daily hour with great knitting tips! I always learn something during every episode. The tray is a memory of the tale of the two Scandinavian Princes “hunt their Christmas tree”
I am so happy RUclips recommend you to me back beginning of Covid. You kept me busy during the he boring lockdown days and i have since feel like you are my imaginary friends, you are real to me but you have no idea who i am. Since those first quarantine podcast days ive gone back and watch so many of your videos, and after knitting most of my life i have learned so many new tips and tricks. It was funny someone mentioned buying your first Christmas book of Christmas balls and how much you have become part of their life. My mom passed away last summer, and while cleaning out her house i found your book about making dolls, and i was so sad i never knew she also knew you guys! Guess you are an old family imaginary friend! Ive really enjoyed this years countdown and watching the gingerbread house turn into work of art! And loved watching the tray reveal the embroidery of the story of my two favorite Scandinavian princes searching for a tree! Good luck to all the SAKFAB friends!
This year my grandkids had a fantastic time opening the 24 advent mini sweaters for the first time and then decorating the tree with them. A new tradition has begun! After coming back from the future daily posts, I’m delighted to know that you went to see the Nutcracker (on my birthday at that), a ballet that I danced in for years in my youth and dancing many of the parts including the Sugar Plum fairy. I’m confident that the beautiful embroidery on the tray signifies the fairytale of the two handsome Scandinavian princes fetching a Christmas tree and encountering a few frustrating experiences along the way…..but all turned out well with the tree secured to the beetle roof. Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a new year filled with love, peace and creativity…..and hopefully you will make your way back to the USA and heeding the call to San Diego. That would be a very joyous happening indeed. 🎉😊
Hi,Guys!!! Thanks for the joy and laughter and inspiration you brought to me this Christmas! The tray revealed both The Tale of the Norwegian Princes AND the VW with the tree on top in the snow. Wishing you the very best in 2023 and hoping to see you on an Arne and Carlos cruise in 2024!!! Health, wealth, joy and happiness to you!
It's the tale of the two Scandinavian Princes! 🫅🤴 Which is my favorite tale, and one of my favorite Arne and Carlos motifs. It is nice to know that we have been as much help to you as you have been to us during these past couple of years. I remember when Carlos was away, getting better in the hospital, and Arne had those beautiful videos of him knitting and thinking. It felt to me then that we were all connected and supporting each other just by sharing the moment and the reflexions. Much love to you two and to all who help make the podcast possible 💕🎉
I just watched your short New Year’s wish video. Same to you folks! And say Godt Nyttår to the dashing Scandinavian princes who managed not only to bring home a Christmas tree long long ago, but also inspired a cross stitch masterpiece so future generations will remember there daring do!
And just one more then we hope for the best: My Guess - the fairy tale is: the norwegian prince and the sweedish prince and their adventures in their volkswagen beetle. THANK YOU FOR THE MARVELOUS TIPS and the GINGERBREAD HOUSE ADVENTURE. all soo much fun.
Its the fairy tale of two handsome Scandinavian princes that went in search of a Christmas tree in their white as snow 1968 VW bus. The bus broke down and returned home on a trailer with the tree frozen on top and the princes frozen inside. Oh how I know that feeling. Thank you for being you.
It's A Tale of Two Scandinavian Princes and their hunt for the perfect Christmas tree! Their Beetle breaks down and they have to stand on in the cold waiting to be rescued by a tow truck. They finally make it home and decorate their tree. Thanks for the fun Arnie and Carlos!
I’ve list count. Having abad day but you always make it better. Its the fairy tale of two handsome Scandinavian princes that went in search of a Christmas tree in their white as snow 1968 VW bus. The bus broke down and returned home on a trailer with the tree frozen on top and the princes frozen inside. Thank you for being you.
very much fun, these 24 days of knitting tips... My Guess - the fairy tale is: the norwegian prince and the sweedish prince and their adventures in their volkswagen beetle. THANK YOU FOR THE MARVELOUS TIPS and the GINGERBREAD HOUSE ADVENTURE. all soo much fun.
Arne and Carlos, the story of the adventure of the Scandinavian Princees and the Christmas tree was worth hearing/seeing again. Thanks fir sharing your lives with us.
You guys are the Princes of the knitting world! And the tray hinted at that crazy day in 2020 when the two Princes went hunting for the perfect tree in the ancient beetle,
The embroidery on the tray depicts the traditional Norweigian folk tale of the two handsome Scandinavian princes and their misadventures as they struggle to bring home their Christmas tree on the roof of their trusty Volkswagen beetle. We haven't missed a post since we started watching your wonderful Advent series in 2020. Thanks for making the Covid experience more bearable!
I love all the Knitting Tips. And I was is happy to discover the motive in the tray is a car after several episodes. Soon after that, a tree appeared. Later Christmas balls, and the last a bow showed up ;-)
The wonderful adventure fairy tale of 2 princes and their VW Beetle searching for the perfect Christmas 🎄. Not all fairy tales are as fun as this one. 😀
Well, I originally thought it had to do with your book on Christmas Balls. Oh well. "The Princes Search for the Perfect Christmas Tree in their 1968 White VW" was a great fairy tale. I can't believe I forgot it. I had to go back a re-watch to the original vid. Absolutely love you guys to death. Hope you had a wonderful holiday. And, don't worry, you did the whole 24 days perfectly. 😘
It's the "Tale of the Scandinavian Princes who Journey Through the Night in their VW Beetle Chariot in Search of the Perfect Christmas Tree on Christmas Eve and the Adventures That Ensue." This was so much fun! You are SO GOOD at this! ❤❤
The motif is Arne's embroidered beetle bug with a Christmas tree on top, adorned with lovely knitted baubles. A work of art commemorating the the Norwegian folktale of the Two Handsome Scandanavian Princes and their epic quest to find the Christmas tree of their dreams. A new holiday classic in our home. I hope it is made into a movie, as well. We can watch while we indulge in delicious chunks of our gingerbread piñata. 😋 Thank-you both for such a joyful and informative advent. Already looking forward to next year. 💖🎄🤗
Two Handsome Scandanavian Princes in search of a Christmas tree in their Volkswagen! Thank you for doing the 24 days of Advent....I really miss not being able to tune in each day as I did in December, for your fun tips, beautiful balls and the wonderful gingerbread house that was amazing and did not fall down! Comments were fun! Happy New Year! Wishing you good health and happiness in 2023!
The tale of the Norwegian Princes finding the perfect Christmas tree. It is a motif of a Beatle Volkswagen. I’m along time fan please keep your channel going. Thank you both for all you do and I love that the pod cast has become more of a lifestyle channel. Happy Holidays!
Loving the daily episodes, learning something new every day, and lol remembering the tale of two Scandinavian Princes searching for the perfect Christmas tree by looking at the tray under the sweaters!
Thank you for keeping all of us in stitches this Advent with your daily podcasts and the adventures of Gingerbreadgate! And the design on the tray is the VW beetle with a Christmas tree on the roof. Happy holidays!
So glad that you survived the great Christmas tree hunt which is the VW Bug with resulted in the Two Scandinavian Princes tale. Personally I have had a rough year with both my husband and myself having serious health issues and going to your channel’s always gives me a real lift. ❤
Twice as fun to watch again! Your lovely VW beetle embroidery tray (with shades of blue) carrying a lovely Christmas tree and balls for decorations. A great tribute to the fine Princes who were stranded in the woods, waiting for help, returning home, and miraculously obtaining a new TV. Just in time for Christmas streaming. Thanks again for the fun.
Thank you for just been there and make my days bright . You are my best friend ever, my company in difficult times.. I hope 2023 find you healthy and creative Marilena from Athens/Greece
Two Scandenavian Princes, their 1968 Beetle, a Christmas tree and a broken down car and Television ! A Christmas Eve to remember for sure ! You were too funny telling that tale, good luck everyone in the contest !
It is the 2 princes looking for and finding the perfect Christmas tree. The tray is the white beetle with the Christmas tree on top. I have to tell you much i love your beetle mugs. I have the three of them. I use them all year and my girlfriends are always impressed. Love you two and you make me so happy.
As 2022 comes to an end, I feel so grateful for the wonderful creative community Arne and Carlos have brought together. Thank you!❤ I’ve learned so much and have been inspired to venture into color work, mini sweaters, socks and various projects in general. The beautiful embroidery on the tray is the fairytale of the two handsome Scandinavian princes fetching a Christmas tree and encountering some challenging situations along the way. All turned out well and that is what I wish for all as 2022 comes to an end that we embark into 2023 in hope of a healthy, happy, inspired and creative year ahead. 🎉😊
Thank you for the amazing, gorgeous patterns, videos and spirit bring me and everyone!! The tray is from the lovely tale of the Two Handsome Scandinavian Princes in search of a perfect Christmas tree. The story has the beetle breaking down, getting roadside service but eventually make it home with the tree for a beautiful Christmas decoration!!
Since you encouraged us to add as many comments on your fairy tale as possible, I must obey! Arne’s embroidery shows the VW beetle of the two Norwegian princes( one prince is a Swedish born Virgo) with their amazingly decorated Christmas tree that reminds them and us of their tragic car breakdown, tense moments and all-was-well ending. This proves that love and perseverance conquer all, even a wobbly gingerbread house (that I hope will inspire us next Christmas )
I want to thank you Arne for your knitting demos. Throwing yarn forever when knitting started to be so painful I was told by a Dr to quit knitting. I decided to try to learn continental method but still struggling I decided to look at Arne’s Norwegian knitting video. After a few reruns of the video I got it! Not only is it a much faster method my stitches are consistently even. Carlos your clarification of each technique is invaluable.
Under the sweaters is a cross stitch of your vw beetle with a tree and ornaments, so cute. I love making the Christmas Balls and little sweaters, so much fun.
Seeing those lovely knitted baubles has inspired my new knitting goal for the new year. I want to make as many balls as I can before next Christmas! I absolutely love Arne's embroidered motif on the tray, as well as the folktale that inspired it - The Tale of the Two Handsome Scandinavian Princes, and their quest to find the Christmas tree of their dreams. A new Christmas classic. 🎄 💖😊 Thank-you for the joyful lead-up to Christmas. 🤗
I have knitted so many of your Christmas Balls this year - about a dozen. To see everyone’s face light up when I give it to them, and to hear them say “you knitted this for me?”. Priceless. Thank you so much. Your picture is a cross stitch of a Christmas Tree on the beetle. Thanks Arne and Carlos for making Christmas so special. ❤
Thank you for the amazing, gorgeous patterns, videos and spirit bring me and everyone!! The tray is from the lovely tale of the Two Handsome Norwegian Princes in search of a perfect Christmas tree. The story has the beetle breaking down but eventually make it home with the tree for a beautiful Christmas decoration!!
Dear Arne and Carlos, what a fabulous 24 Knitting Christmas tips/countdown of 2022, I watched them all while knitting my first ever set of Christmas balls this year. The embroidery on the tray is about the Norwegian folk story (based on a true story) about late pre-Christmas tree searching by two Scandinavian princes on the white VW Beetle car in a bitter cold weather, and their adventures once the car broke down... Happy New Year 2023! Ivana Duarte
The tale of two handsome Norwegian princes and their adventurous quest to find the perfect Christmas tree 🙂 Best wishes for the New Year to come dear Arne and Carlos. Christmas wouldn’t be the same without you. All the love ❤
We have closed the competition and selected the winner using a Random Comment Generator. Tune in tonight, January 1st, 2023, at 6:00 pm CET to find out who won!

I love that book! I enjoy it even when I'm not knitting!

Andi: ditto for me! Met Arne and Carlos in Leonardtown and am signed up for the Svalbard cruise in August. What an inspiring couple!
Hi friend. Surely Arne & Carlos (and their designs) were the best antidote for me going through cancer treatment last year. I hope and pray you are well now.
I am Doreen on Glenn's computer, just in case you are wondering - see my comment above.
@Glenn Stumborg thank you, yes treatment is holding all steady. I am slowly getting stronger. I hope you are well.
I am so delighted that you are taking to time to film these 24 episodes, what a great treat. You are making my December!!!
I've been doing Duolingo Norwegian too! I hope to go on the Hurtigtruten cruise someday.
Sitting here in 35C watching sailing boats on the ocean in Adelaide. Motif is Beetle with Christmas tree on top😊
Another Duolingo Norwegian learner here! I'm in good company!
@@stefanieblihovde9673 thank you for posting this information. I've been learning Norwegian for about 18 months but my grammar has a lot to answer for 😅 I'll go take a look at the Oslo uni course 😀
"The Very Handsome Princes and the Christmas Beetle No-GoGo," or, "Two Nuts for Christmas." But first -
My wife of 42 years and I have found great joy in watching your videos.
Thank you so much for always being an encouragement! the picture is a Beetle Bug car with a Christmas tree on top
The tale of the Norwegian princes in search of the perfect Christmas tree! Such a lovely story ♡
I very much enjoyed the fairy tale of the two Scandinavian Princes and their extended search for the perfect Christmas tree in their vintage VW. I'm glad they arrived home even though they experienced many pitfalls and delays on the way. Love your RUclips presentations. They make my day.
Thank you!
Two Scandinavian princes and the perfect Christmas tree. I’ve really enjoyed the Gingerbread House watch
Thank you for sharing the story of the 2 princes looking for a Christmas tree and displaying it on the tray and Christmas ball. Thank you for all of the laughs and sharing your knowledge and warmth. Have a very Happy 2023!!! You deserve it.
Happy New Year!
The Norwegian fairy tale about the princes looking for the perfect Christmas tree in their beetle! Love your podcasts!!
The best Norway fairy tale of Christmas! Two Princes! Waving from the beetle, with the tree on top from the flat bed toe truck. All the Princes needed were Santa hats to complete the story!
Dear handsome Scandinavian princes,
Your fable has brought me so much joy and laughter!
Thank you for watching!
The motif Arne made is the tale of the two princes and their Christmas tree adventure
Loved the Advent videos and all your tips. The reveal is the two Norwegian princes and the quest to find the perfect Christmas tree in their VW.
Your tray depicts the two Scandinavian princes who endured many misadventures before finally obtaining their perfect Christmas tree.
So enjoyed watching and sharing the tale of the two Scandinavian princes off to search for the perfect Christmas tree in their beetle.
I loved the fairy tale of two handsome princes and their search for the perfect Christmas tree, in their VW beetle.
The Scandinavian Fairy Tale of the Two Princes the Volkswagen and the Christmas Tree! A heartwarming story!
I enjoyed the adventure of two Scandinavian princes. The Christmas Beetle embroidery is a beautiful nod to that fond memory.

Twirling the Balls is fabulous! The VW and Christmas Tree on Roof is Fabulous as well!
I so enjoy your videos. The tray shows the beetle with the Christmas tree on top. The story of the Two Handsome Scandinavian Princes is precious.
Hello again. Your tray depicts the two Scandinavian princes buying their Christmas tree.
I hope 2023 find you healthy and creative
Marilena from Athens/Greece
Two Scandenavian Princes, their 1968 Beetle, a Christmas tree and a broken down car and Television ! A Christmas Eve to remember for sure ! You were too funny telling that tale, good luck everyone in the contest !

The motif depicts the delightful tale of the two handsome princes who venture out on a trip to find the perfect tree for Christmas!
I absolutely love watching these videos through! I still think that the tray has a beetle and a Christmas tree :)
Thank you for always enlightening us with tips or just your points of view! The motif is VW with Christmas Tree on Roof! Love it!
Thank you for all the fabulous patterns! They are beautiful! ❤️ 💙 the picture is a Beetle Bug car with a Christmas tree on top
The tale of two handsome Norwegian princes and their adventurous quest to find the perfect Christmas tree 🙂
Best wishes for the New Year to come dear Arne and Carlos. Christmas wouldn’t be the same without you. All the love ❤
Christmas tree on top of your beetle. What an adventure to commemorate ❤
