And Nick, despite Steve telling him to stop compartmentalizing, didn't tell Rogers that Coulson lives and his ream is thwarting HYDRA their own way.
There was an idea to bring together a group of remarkable people, to see if they could become something more. So when they needed us we could fight the battles that they never could.

The first time they put in the Ultimates Nick Fury in a movie, I felt hope that the cinematic universe is in good hands. Not because of how it pandered to comic fans, but how they integrated the cool materials in the comics and made it sensible components of these movies.
He was in Marvels Agents of shield too. What no cut scenes from the show.😔

its a grey area, guys. aos has always been in concert with the movies, but the movies to this day ignore its existence. there are no direct contradictions between them, so the only thing stopping aos from being included is the will of the execs.

@zsteve1229 that's confirmed not to be MCU canon. His last appearance in the 616 universe is in the Avengers when he's killed by Loki

@zsteve1229 it doesn't take place in the MCU 616 universe. It's been confirmed by Feige in 2019, Gunn and Moore in 2021, and Iger and the MCU official timeline book this year

I just started watching them I haven't watched hard ant movies in 20 years
I feel so stupid for never realizing that Nick Fury was never in Captain America Civil War. Honestly, with his connections especially since he still had the Skrulls in his pocket at the time, he easily could've just had them impersonate the world leaders who ratified them and just had the accords nullified. Nick Fury literally could've just adverted the entire conflict of the film with one move, so it's really strange that he's not in Civil War at all.
Yet these couple of old friends were the SHIELD team.

I want to read between the lines and say Coulson was literally half of this video. I also want to point it out to maybe some who dont know that in age of ultron the helicarrier was refurbished and handed to Fury by Director Coulson under the Theta protocol, which provided the same helicarrier as in the battle of new york with additional shield personell and equipments to support the avengers if need be.

still waiting for them to stop ignoring agents of shield. the fact that fury silently restarted shield behind the scenes seems like a pretty important thing to leave out, especially seeing as shield then went on to save the world several more times. its just getting a little ridiculous.
