I always thought that Robert Culp would've been a great Nick Fury. For those people who don't know who he was, he played F.B.I. agent Bill Maxwell on the greatest American hero. He was also on the series I Spy. Honestly, I enjoyed David Hasselhoff's movie, as a guilty pleasure. Samuel Jackson's portrayal of Nick Fury jr., is spot on...easy enough since the character was actually modeled on him to begin with. The absence of Nick Fury Sr. , was a missed opportunity, in Captain America: the first Avenger.
In the Marvel comics original universe SLJ Fury is the son of original Fury. This happened because they created the Ultimate Universe in which their version of Fury was drawn by Bryan Hitch to look like SLJ just as a bit of fun but then the new version proved to be so popular that the actor agreed to portray him in the movies (which are themselves in a different universe and NOT the original Marvel universe). However, the Ultimate Universe was destroyed and that SLJ Fury died with it but as he was so popular Marvel wanted to keep him around and had to work out a way to have both original and SLJ versions in the same universe and this is what they came up with - father and son. Then the father became the new Watcher leaving the son to take over his role on Earth. That's probably being retconned by Marvel even as I write this btw so don't put money on it staying that way.
I never understood why they just didn’t have Fury survive Secret Wars that’s also makes the most sense for his character too. Because only what Reed, The Maker, T’Challa, and Miles remember from before Secret Wars I think canonically…
I enjoy Sam Jackson's Nick, but I wish they'd use OG Nick, or at least have a character based on him appear. Not to replace Sam's Nick, but to have them be related in some way
By saying Hell's Kitchen The Fury family must be that close to Joe "Devil" Murdock and little Matt at the time. Who knew he was that close to the future Daredevil character in the vicinity?
@@kurtpaulsen6579Nick Fury Jr wasn't even a thing when Sam Jackson was cast. He's based on Ultimate Nick Fury, not that abominable retcon of a character Marcus "Nick Fury Jr." Johnson
Maybe one day in the future we'll have a Caucasian Nick fury and they can do an movie around the time of Peter Parker parents as Sheild Agents... that could be interesting
Thanks Secret War for revealing that Nick Fury’s spy network was courtesy of the Skrulls infiltrating governments even his own. The blip took Fury out of the game and Talos lost control.
Yes that was a perfect twist nobody saw coming and makes perfect sense. The only real issue is not using Skrulls in an Avengers movie. They need to be treated as the big deal they are.
Thanks again for this long overdue Marvel character analysis. I would like to see you do a video of Marvel’s Taskmaster.
When he starting to switch fury 😮
One day in the future we shall understand Hasselhoff’s inestimable contributions to Marvel.
That is a future worth fighting for 🫡
The winter soldier car ambush is one of the best action sequences in all marvel imo .
Thank you so much l love your work at producing this amazing work 😊
'ANOTHER MARVELOUS VIDEO' ..

I just happen to know who that is. I saw him on reruns of the golden girls, and he was hot for an old dude
His name is Sgt. Fury, that's the original Fury.& His howling commandos. They just put Mr. Jackson because he's such a good actor.

In the comics, they retconned that OG Nick is the father of SJ's Nick.
Yes, like THAT.@@noname-oq8ey
Snake from Metal Gear Solid game is also a version of Nick Fury
I really hate the black Nick Fury has become the default one in all media
Yeah it sucks I wished we'd gotten og nick fury more.
Nick fury let's go🎉🎉
David did pretty well as fury, its a shame he never got a bigger audience
I love the white Nick Fury.
My Dad was a drill sergeant at Fort Dix New Jersey but I'm pretty sure he didn't train Nick Fury lol
Origin of dark horse comics ghost, gunna sijurvald, moondragon and Sakura kasaungano
Video idea,
All 6 reincarnation of Earth 616 of how it got destroyed and the new one after it
Could you guys do a video about retroactively forgotten characters like Forgetminot, Sentry, Blue Marvel, and now Spiderboy.
White Nick Fury is the best. All you gotta say about the black version is SLJ 😂
I wish we could get the white Nick Fury back.
@@301Goldstar maybe when MCU do a soft reboot after Secret Wars and all this multiverse/time travel bs.
Ah yes the marvel character so good even bs race swapping doesn't deminish him.
They actually addressed this years back... Sam Jackson's character is apparently Nicholas Fury Jr., And he shares his mother's skin color.
@@kurtpaulsen6579that is so lame ol

Still love the Hasselhoff Fury.
Awesome

His name was Sgt. Fury
I’ll pass that sounds super corny. Like super duper whooper hooper pooper corny.
🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
It is so shameful of marvel to whitewash Nick Fury in the comics. Shame on you marvel.
You obviously don't know black Fury is from another reality. Now you do, you doughnut lol
Nick Fury is white. They blackwash Nick Fury. White Nick Fury is the best.
I wasn't paying enough attention toward the beginning and was confused when I didn't see anyone black in the comic panels :D
Corny…Boo this man…BOOOOO!!!
They don't all lose their eye from a cat scratch do they?
That was so stupid
No
Good.
Disney has that sex changing color paintings machine . Next dogs be cats
I love how one show can ruin a character we loved for years thanks Disney.
Only clowns think that way.

Don't know why they needed to woketize character like this but since they did good writing I'll let it pass😂 half the time it's usually stupid garbage
This was the best race swap character Marvel has ever pulled off.
They can always recon it and say he is Jr. Whom is half black
It's not a race swamp it's A different reality
I want the white Nick Fury back.
@@301Goldstar yes

Suspension-of-disbelief aside, between Fury's LMD's and Doom's Doombots it gets more than a little skeptical.
Hasselhoff nailed the look to a T.
I'm pretty sure Samuel L Jackson fury is Nick fury Jr hence the J in his name
I absolutely hate Sam Jackson as nick fury. Should have been white imho
I agree, and the white Nick Fury did not lose an eye from a cat.
Outside of him being black, what actual legitimate reason do ya hate his version?
