This was such a romantic and convincing performance: With such confidence and grace was this song delivered, with emotional lyrics and the spotlight all on our singer in the darkness, so that we could feel the intensity of the yearning for love!

Sabina - Видеоклипы
Thank you for not continually interrupting the performance like most poster do.
I hear ya.agreed.
That little bit beats all the other reviewers.
@@RogerWittekind I hope so, because dumb kids nowadays 🙄
The guy is a mathematician. Perfect mathematical genius.
I was fourteen when I first saw this performance on the Andy Williams show. It has really held up over the years as one of the best.
I never even liked this song until, l saw Bobbie sing this live in 1965. Wow!!!!!!
This song is the soundtrack for the film Ghost. It's a very well-known film here in Brazil. I highly recommend you watch it, this film is a work of art.
You have an intuitive grasp of the importance of feeling in music, not just ideas.
Song never gets old. Live.
Bobby sings this effortlessly.
I'm sure you have read this in other posts but the 60s had a flood of great music, it was like all of a sudden God dropped all those artists onto earth and said this is your time, give it all.
Look at her face. She is melting 🫠
thank you so much for the moving graphic comments, rather than interrupting the playback with verbal comments. Love it.
My pleasure, Thanks for sharing that ❤️
I spent time with Bobby in our younger days. He busted one of my ears with his voice.
No effort! Wow! Phenomenal!
I love that you used sub-titles instead of constantly pausing, interrupting one of the best vocal performances of all time! I have viewed hundreds of 'reactions' to this and you (so far) are the only one that does this. You leave all the "talk" to the end. I am subscribing!
Thank you, and welcome 💪🏻💚
He's crying with the voice, this remind me of "Black" from Pearl Jam, amazing control
I like how you wrote your thoughts out instead of stopping and interrupting the song... Wish others would do the same.
I haven't see ONE female reactor disliking this song. NOT a single one 😉
I graduated high school in 1965. Was in S. Viet. for the Tet Offensive in 1968. Every time that I see and/or hear Bobby Hatfield perform "Unchained Melody" it brings me to tears by the end. Memories, this music was my time!
The song was written by Hy Zaret, a Tin Oan Alley song writer in 1955.
I get goosebumps every time I hear this song
Bobby Hatfield died at age 63, 20 years ago. I grew up with this music. I was a school music teacher. He and Bill, the other RIghteous Brother, were on tour. Bobby died in a hotel room in Kalamazoo Michigan where they were going to perform, but he died before they were to go onstage. I ha d almost bought tickets to the show, 50 minutes away from my house. But I was too busy. On the way to teach school the next morning I heard the news on the radio and I cried... it just hit me hard....knowing the students at school would have no idea who this man was. What a loss....
We don’t have school music teachers anymore. That’s why music sucks so badly.
Sabina, Your expression made my heart happy.
Every note is so measured and complete.
This song came out during very troubled times. My husband was stationed overseas and this was our song. Most Military wives would wait on pins and needles for their man to come home. Some did but other's didn't. My husband's last letter asked if I was still his and please wait because he'd be home but he never made it like so many others. God speed is a military term for our Soldiers to make it thru batter fast and come back home. Thank you for my memory of my true love
I know it’s a long time ago but I’m so sorry your husband didn’t make it home.
If i close my eyes , I'll travel back to when I was 18 yo. , when these brothers ment so much to my inspiration to live !!! And treasure them times !!!! At 75 , my memories golden !!!!
So polished and raw at the same time he was smooth
The subtle vocal fry at 2.15!!
Not enough o's in the word smoooooooth!
Real music
Bobby H. - A uniquely RARE & GIFTED talent!
This song appeared in a movie about life in prison. I don’t remember much about it because I was 10 years. It was sung by an inmate portrayed by an opera singer. The main character pined for his woman, and the song said it all. I love your reactions.
One of the most unbelievably beautiful live performances ever saved for history.
Music before 1975 , Lyrics from the "Mississippi" song
"now the country song forever lost its soul when the guitar player turned to rock and roll"
One of the best solo performances EVER!
I like the way that you do not interrupt all the time. love the sub-titles
He does not make mistakes.
It's not from a commercial, it's from a movie called Ghost
The orchestra that was there live deserves some credit. Thanks.
TBH I didn’t notice the orchestra.
Yes...and the staging, the lighting, the recording both visual and audio was magnificient! So much came together here..but Bobby Hatfield's performance...TOWERED above it all! And...created a piece of musical history..that will stand any rational test of time.
The orchestration is lovely 😊
Their sacrifice was not in vain
Bill Medley, the other "brother", is playing piano.
I love the fact that you did not talk over the song, and I loved the commentary.
OMG, the late Bobby Hatfield. I was 15 yrs old when I watched him sing this beautiful song on the Andy Williams show in 1965. No auto tunes, just pure raw talent! RIP BOBBY! We miss hearing your beautiful voice. You had so many solo songs such as Summertime and duals with your amazing Brother!
THANK YOU “Sabina” for a great “Critique”, I may be wrong but I think the word your searching for is “Soul”! ! ! In my opinion, the
Righteous Brothers (met in1962?) formed the start of the Soul sound! ! !
1965 I was a junior in High school. This song was played at the Junior / Senior Prom and I danced with my girlfriend.( later my wife , we married in 1973 ) Back in that time you and your partner held each other close while you danced . I miss those days and the music of the times .Thank You Sabina for not stopping the song to make comments as a lot of people do. I enjoyed your reaction and statements -- Well Done, Well Done.
Great reaction to one of the finest male voices in modern music, thank you!
Definitely listen to Bobby singing Summertime, it’s even more amazing if that’s possible.
It's worth seeing Angelina Jordan in this song at the Oslo peace conference a few days ago, I promise you won't be disappointed🦶🦶👑🗣🎙🎷
I love this gal and don’t know why.
He was singing this in his earley 20,s with his parents in.the audiencce
Though many think vocalist Bobby Hatfield sang in falsetto (he didn't) - he sang in a pure tenor on many Righteous Brothers tracks (with Bill Medley) & will always be remembered for his solo turn on their classic “Unchained Melody.”
Bobby Hatfield had a very rare voice called a counter tenor. Most men who had his voice throughout history were Italian opera singers centuries ago called castrati, meaning they had been castrated to preserve the voice. He had a 4 and a half to 5 octave vocal range and extremely good control, producing notes and changing between them as usually only classically trained opera singers can. He had no formal training. On top of everything else, he had a head cold that night of this live performance.
Bobby is NOT singing falsetto at any point in this song. He is simply singing high, because he had such an amazing range. Also, as others have mentioned: 1965. Live performance. No autotune, no sophisticated audio filters, no retakes or overdubbing. Just pure, raw, disciplined talent. I wish we had music and singers like this today.
Amazing
@@sabina1118- Bobby was an extremely talented Countertenor…this is definitely the best version of the song. Most people have only heard the record/radio version used in the movie “Ghost” - which is a pity…because this is vastly superior.
@@godropkicks3219 Sadly I think it's a scam. For a moment I honestly thought I was talking to the most alluring person I've seen on Reaction videos in years. But sadly I don't think it's Sabina.
regarding @Thesabina1118 yep it‘s a scam. I was promised winning a Mcboook pro, but forced send money via paypal as family and friends (without byer protection) Never do this!!!!!!
@@fredialbora3966 So glad I didn't respond.
Blue-Eyed Soul. Great times.. He caused the birth rate to double that year.
I’ve been watching dozens of reaction videos of this song. Yours was one of the best!
October 25, 1965 is the date this was on television.
However in LA it’s warm year round so it’s always summer there…
gosh, not only an incredible voice but gorgeous too 🥰
That smile from him was for his mum who was in the Audience!😁
Your the first reactor that actually listens to the music without a hundred interruptions I love that and it always gains a thumb up from me for that very reason. Keep exploring.
His smile at the end always gets me…Bobby had a voice of an angel
Yep he was like nailed it. Especially since is mother was in the audience and was her first time seeing him perform live.
My wife saw him sing this in 1969 at her grad night party at Disneyland. Says it was even better in person
The bite on the lower lip means "I nailed it".
Bring it on home, Bobby ! ! !
“Masterful” is a great one word summary. Even better is “perfect.”
Bobby was actually nervous before his performance because his mother, who’d never heard him sing on stage before, was sitting in the seats behind him. I’ve also heard he was sick but who knows? Legendary performances have their mythology.
This was in the movie "Ghost" with Patrick Swazie and Demi Moore.
Your reaction is spot on. This is a masterclass on how to sing a song.
Thank you! ❤️
Wonderful review, thanks.
Sabina babe when it comes to this type of music you're still a baby 🤣🤣
I loved it that you use texts instead of stopping the song ever now and then. Great reaction.
Oh please please do "You've Lost That Loving Feeling." Blue eyed soul at it's best.
You needed to include the intro. That performance was done live on a variety show, (The Andy Williams Show) where a short intro was done before Bobby did his solo. That was the Anthem of the Vietnam War. By the way we appreciate the uninterrupted comments...something others should adopt IMHO
I wish a guy like this could show up at every woman's doorstep and sing them this song just for them.
For me he is singing from his heart et that makes the song feel, feels real.
I was really behind the scenes singing this song. Lol. Love ❤️.
His voice was Velvety Smooth with such range that I would say that it is Angelic !
Thank you, I do appreciate your style of reacting.
Thanks for the video.
Great reaction. Thank you.
What a singer!
Look Ma, no autotune! He comes from a period, where they learnt to sing in tune, by themselves. Sadly, autotune is massively overused these days, and spoils everything.
Nailed it doesn't even come close to saying how good this is.
Okay, for some of you people who don't really know a lot about voice or music, Bobby is singing in what we call a "mixed voice". He is NOT singing those real high notes at the end in a pure falsetto. There is nothing wrong with using a good falsetto when needed. However, he is not exactly doing it here on those real high notes. Trust me.
No auto tune. I get goose bumps every time I hear him sing this. Blue eye soul at its finest...
i was in the Navy when the song came so the lyrics were very appropriate .You do a great job responding to the performance, also, you might want to try a song called 'NIGHT' by Jackie Wilson.
So glad that you got to experience him. Keep exploring, you have no idea what is ahead.
dont forget...this is live
They used part of the song in the movie Ghost. PS Bobby had to have a strong drink before singing. The other half Bill sang in movie Dirty Dancing .I had the time of my life.
I enjoy the fact that you wrote what you were thinking rather than talk through the song.
You have to listen to their (both of em) "You've lost That Loving Feeling now"
Love your style of review. You found the right words. Like the comments printed on the screen making it unnecessary to stop. ❤
Priceless reaction to probably the most beautiful song of that era. Thank your for sharing your thoughts and feelings.
I am 77, and grew up in the 60's, and there isn't a person, male or female who can produce a song like that without studio assistant, brings me to tears every time I hear it 😌😌😌
bobby is a counter tenor, that's his natural voice when singing high notes not forced like a falsetto
Well done young lady .
Thanks for your comment. It was so nice to hear you talking and you
didn't interrupt. To me it was great that you was spoken very clearly so i could understand almost every word. Regards from germany
6:06 A common error. He is not singing falsetto, nor did he earlier. That is his natural range.
I do like your style of reacting!
That song gob smacks everybody.
The little grin at the end, I'm sure, was for his mama. Every boy, no matter how old, wants to please mama!
The first word/thought/reaction was...UNIQUE! Second... SMOOTH! Third and onward... will that presentation ever be second to another? I DOUBT THAT!
Yes... just UNIQUE!
Live in yo face bop bop. Love your reaction. Awesome video.
When he was done, there were no dry knickers in the house.
I enjoy your unique approach in reacting to a song. Bravo !
