Subscribe? Not today, not you. Save your inane, useless comments for the end of the song. Can't stand having a song interrupted by someone who believes they have something so mind blowing to share with the SUBSCRIBERS, they cut off the song to babble about "his sweet voice", his great "control, range, projection, pitch" blah blah blah.
here is this original song... ruclips.net/video/IYj2hex99gY/видео.html .. otherwise this is a Reaction Channel, Thanks
They have to interrupt songs. Otherwise youtube will flag the video for copyright and take it down.
GodDAMN, dude. Like....just wow. You new to this whole RUclips thing, or....?
Bro RODERICH JUST WATCH THE MUSIC VIDEO FOR IT THEN IS THAT SO HARD, WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU WATCH A REACTION CHANNEL IF YOU DONT LIKE COMMENTARY
Roderich is the definition of a male karen
No auto tunes. Just a man, a microphone and his God given talent. Bobby passed away in 2003. His singing partner, Bill Medley is still performing. His mother was in the audience for this performance. The Righteous Brothers each do a solo in their performances. This was Bobby's. Many people recorded this song but NOBODY does it like Bobby. You should listen to The Righteous Brothers You've Lost That Loving Feeling, Soul and Inspiration and You'll Never Walk Alone. I think your lovely friend would enjoy those too. Bobby had a 5 octave range.
Anyone over 70 can only talk about auto tune
@@waynebryant1857 I qualify. Next rule?
Bill Medley has found someone who sings like Bobby. They're supposed to start touring.
You said it all Sandra. One of the truly exceptional male voices of all time….
@@waynebryant1857 I'm 60 years old, but the First Time auto tune was used was in 1998. You might want to back up on your age bracket there buddy.
If you haven't already you need to experience, You've Lost that Loving Feeling. This song will include both members of the duo. It's also been reported that it was the most listened to song of the 20th century.
Definitely
Think he may have reviewed it, but will love to see her reaction to that one
This is the most listened to song
Top Gun made You've Lost that Loving Feeling popular to another generation.
I second that suggestion
And this performance was long before auto-tune and other electrical enhancements. What you hear is pure talent!
You must be over 70,auto tune is the only word they know.
@@waynebryant1857 ROFLMAO - I have to disagree with you ... Auto Tune is NOT the only words I know. I also know words like "No Talent", "Not Real Music", etc.
If it wasn't for modern electrical enhancements (includes auto tune) the vast majority of today's stars would still be a "nobody" singing (or least THINKING they can sing) in their shower.
This song always brings a tear to my eyes because of it`s beauty. He was the right man for this song.
Absolutely!
The notes he hits at the end are in the pure counter tenor range. This is literally a voice you may find once in a million people.
Yes, you are right, he is singing in the counter tenor vocal range, not fasetto. It is an entire range, like bass or tenor or Britons. Tht is why he can go so effortlessly into those high notes. Incredible voice.
I think you mean once in a billion people
@@Blitz-lz4lb dysfunctional...!!!
One can feel both the beautiful words of his Love for this woman connect as his range literally takes you to another place then you were before listening to his rending of the deepest emotions expressing what he feels for her...!
Lady's must melt from the inside out....!!!!
Sadly many of us feel this way about her but cannot equal such a cataclysmic entreaty for her ears to be swooned away by...!
Yeah, I researched and there are probably around 21 natural counter tenors listed singing today. One of the greatest is a young man called Alex Luna who sings classical pieces only in that range.
You can see on Cynthia's faced what I've always noticed when women hear this performance for the first time. It hits women differently than men -- goes right to their hearts. You almost never hear heartfelt romantic songs like this any more.
Yeah, watching women react to this song for the first time never gets old. Guys are like, "Damn, what a voice!" Women are like, "I'm melting..."
Your right not many songs like this. The best one recently was Joker & the Queen. I seen many tears over that.
@@spacepotato2277 Some men are no doubt "melting" lol
Well, a written release should be obtained from the female subject before being exposed to this song, and in the case of a minor subject parental permission.
BS. Men feel it, we just dont show it on our faces.
90% of these romantic songs were made by MEN... how yo gonna say women feel them more lol?
The great Bobby Hatfield still making woman swoon 60 years later.... RIP.
He has amazing breath control-one of the most passionate, romantic versions of this song. He owns this song! This was called blue-eyed soul back in the day. He sang this live on the Andy Williams Show-his folks were in the audience hearing him sing this for the first time and he was very nervous. He also had a head cold. You can hear it in his voice. Wasn't he incredible?!
Beyond belief Sheryl, just incredible....!
English isn't my first language and this is one of the few English songs that moves me to tears
There are two "brothers", but they occasionally recorded songs individually when the music called for it. As to how they got their name, they were performing at the El Toro Marine Base in Southern California. At the end of the performance a black marine stood up and said "That was righteous, brothers!". And that's how they got the name.
Amen 🙏🙏👍
They are not brothers
@@jefferysmoot4789 that's why I put the word in quotes.
Yup, same story I heard..In fact he Bobby Hatfield says how in this show ( The Andy Williams Show) just before he sings.
You are exactly right. Both Bobby and Bill related this story while on the Andy William's program.
"Blue eyed soul" at its best.
Bobby is in the Rock hall of fame.
This song was written for the 1955 prison film, Unchained, thus the title of the song. This was Bobby Hatfield singing, and the other half of the duo was Bill Medley who had a deep baritone voice. Bill did some subtle low background vocals on this, but not impactful enough to stand on stage with Bobby like a piece of furniture. Their biggest hit was You've Lost That Loving Feeling which was the most played song on the radio in the 20th century. You may want to react to it since it features both gentlemen. They were a very dynamic and talented duo back in the 60s and early 70s.
I watched the movie last year. Kind of a cheesy low budget film, starring football star from the late 40's, early 50's, Elroy Leon"Crazy Legs" Hirsch. The song was just a short little jail time diddy, sung by an inmate to the others. The song had no name, so it was called Unchained Melody, after the movie title.
This song unfortunately is about a soldier deployed and wanting his love to wait for him
Bobby's mom was in the audience and he wanted to be perfect for her. He was and here we are decades later enjoying it. Bill Medley (the other Righteous Brother) had the lead on what is most requested on radio - You've Lost Loving Feeling. Their version of Ebb Tide was also a big hit.
Too bad the camera operator didn't pan to the audience and show his mom's reaction........
@@aaronweiser5421 She's to his right and back a bit in a blue print dress and fur stole.
Every woman I've seen reacting to this performance (including me) seems to get the same dreamy look on their face. It's not just great singing, it's how he draws you in a personal way.
I have noticed that. You can see their inner beauty come out. It's awesome!
Plus he's handsome, sharp dressed, and cool too. But his voice makes me feel good too. But my girlfriend is just in love after this. He's a legend!
This is one of the greatest live one-take recording ever captured on film!
This still brings tears to my eyes. I’m of the age who remember when they started. And their music has captured ‘magic’ for me over the years. So glad new people are enjoying it still! Thanks
Hi Cynthia... a pleasure to have you back on the channel.... 💯
No auto-tune, no Pro-Tools, no fold-backs, just a man, a mike, and his talent. Bobby owns this song now and forever. RIP Bobby.
I was a young married in 1965 and the Vietnam War was raging. The words to this song were in the hearts and minds of young men who were deployed. This was a live performance-no lip-synching. BTW, his mom was in the audience.
I was in the highlands of Vietnam at the time with the 1at Air Cav and later with the 101st Airborne. In the base camps at night you could hear the music of songs like this. Three years later I left and songs like these of love were in such stark contrast to our lives.
He did this show live. In front of his parents and was nervous. It is considered by most to be the best vocal performance of all time.
This song is actually one of the finest songs ever written, and it couldn't have been sung better by anyone else. God bless the ritcheous brothers.
The quality of this 1965 recording is astounding. Bobby owner this song. I’ve watching hundreds of reactions to it. Never gets old🙌
There is another, longer version of this performance from the Andy Williams show that explains why there is only one of them singing this song.
I just saw that for the first time the other day!
I loved the reason... when asked why Bobby sang the song as a solo, Bill Medley replied that he 'lost the coin toss'.
Great idea to have your friend come in with a fresh look..What a beautiful young Lady.At a guess American music is not as well known in Spain.Really cool to see her view on are great songs.Hope to see more with her.
millions of women over the last 55 years think that Bobby is singing this song just to them. the power of one mans beautiful voice and a truly beautiful love song.
imagine that, no auto tune or any gimmicks 1965 just actual talent sounding the same live in person, on TV, radio or a recording. orchestra spot on too
What everybody fails to mention is that this was a live TV broadcast! As a young man when this was first broad cast, this became my theme song. For years I loved this song. The Righteous were my favorite group for years. They had many hits, IMO. She is totally getting into it, as most women will. What a love song!
Good to see younger generations and even older generations that hasn't heard this generation of music hear for the first time and actually like something they would've not or maybe wouldn't have even give it a chance to listen
This just warm warms my heart to see people share great music to people who have never had the chance to hear it before. PS love the shirt Have a wonderful day.
Listening to this is like looking at a painting from a master. It’s pure art, thankfully it was recorded
I really like seeing new people listening to art at it’s finest. Thanks.
the world lost a true singing legend in 2003 when Bobby died this song is all his nobody comes close to matching his brilliance , remember this was a live performance from the mid 1960's just a band and a voice ... truly amazing performance
The most Amazing voice ever and Amazing song
I get chills every time I hear and see this video. What an incredible talent.
Reaction 1st time "seeing" him singing 'his' song: tho you've "heard it" many times is ~
"YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDIN ME" = it's like he's super human....,,,
Like actually seeing an athlete clear a high jump @ 8ft ‐ not just hearing the feat anounced on the radio...!
Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield were consummate professionals for such young men. They were both 25 when Bobby won a coin toss and got to do this song solo & Live and went down in history. The song had first appeared in the 1955 movie UNCHAINED about a guy nearing his release from prison but missing his woman so much he considers breaking out. The song has had hundreds of covers since with Bobby's & Elvis' versions the most notable. However it is arguable that Bobby did the iconic definitive cover. His 4+ octave vocal range is magic itself.
Bobby had profound stage fright and would throw up prior to almost every performance and then get himself together and go out and kill the performance.
Bill and Bobby were a perfect vocal duo with monumental talent on loan from the gods.
Incidentally, Bobby's mom was in the audience seated near him so he just HAD to knock it out of the park.😁
Check out both members of the duo singing YOU’VE LOST THAT LOVING FEELING (black & white video from December 1964).
It was so wonderful to watch her face as the music touched her. It is a very romantic song...
I think there have been others to sing Unchained Melody, but the Righteous Brothers absolutely perfected it.
I hope by the time you get this that you have listen to more of the Righteous Brothers. Your ears will love you for it.
You're one of my favorite reactors, and Cynthia is so stunningly charming and emotive in her viewing, that you make a great reaction pair. I'd enjoy seeing more of the both of you for sure. As for the Righteous Brothers, definitely check out "You've Lost that Loving Feeling." That will answer the question for the both of you. Plus, it is an amazing song.
Added to that, if you wush to continue surprising her, I suggest Nightwish and Diana Ankudinova. :-)
Smart and Honest Reaction and Comments as well for this beautiful song and amazing singer voice
This song is from a MOVIE! ❤️ Unchained, and the song is about a prisoner hoping his girl waits for him and how much he loves her. Gives a whole knew meaning to time going by slowly. Bobby Hatfield had a 4 and 1/2 octave range as a tenor.
She is beautiful.
The reason why it sounds "like a play" is because of the way he conveys his feelings through the song. Its as though he's making you feel the emotions just listening to him.
The fact that these guys can still make today's women swoon just shows how incredible they were.
Just look at your girl as she listens to the song.
Love this song and performance. It is perfect.
Blue eyed soul.
Also “Soul and Inspiration” . They are called the Righteous Brothers because someone in the audience stood up and declared, “that’s righteous, brothers”.
This was Bobby Hatfield at his best. He has been melting women's hearts since the early 1960's. The Righteous Brothers consisted of Bobby and his singing partner Bill Medley. Bill has a baritone voice but is also extremely talented. The 2 of them had a bunch of hits in the 60's and Bill is still touring with a new singing partner since Bobby passed away several years ago. The next song you need to listen to from them is You've Lost That Loving Feeling, which features both of them.
I thoroughly enjoyed you sharing the camera with your friend, although you carry the show individually extremely well, either way I enjoyed it, thx for sharing 🎶🎶 😎 🎶🎶
Thank you both for reacting to this song. I fell in love with it when I first heard it as a little boy.
You don't know there's two of them. WOW.
I literally cannot hear this song without thinking of the movie Ghost which makes the happy song become a sad one.
Did you hear? They are filming Ghost 2.... Patrick Swayze has agreed to "come back"
😂😂
They were named the richous brothers by black fellas, that heard them , and said those brothers are richous. And nicknamed blue eyed soul
Many have called this one of the greatest 'Live' television performances of all time. Tenor Bobby Hatfield' of the 'Righteous Brothers' sang this song back in (1965) on the 'Andy Williams Show.' And has set the standard for others for how this song should be sung. Awesome!
That's a great observation to say that it sounds like a theatrical/play performance. I was thinking the same thing. Top 3, maybe thee top, best live performances I've ever witnessed. AMAZING, and he did it with ease. No strain.
Best live singing performance in television HISTORY!!
The very best!!!!!!!!!
They usually harmonize their voices, but this called for a solo.
One of the greatest love songs ever written and sung beautifully by Bobby Hatfield and will never be duplicated to this perfection. His voice is like nothing you will ever hear again. The control and depth of his voice is incredible. Never heard anyone like him before or since. RIP Bobby
She won’t be your friend after this song. What a player move playing her this song. This is such an incredible song.
This guy was getting all the women's. Back in the day. He'd sing that and they'd melt..
I watch both English and Spanish reactors. I feel like I would enjoy some of Cinthia’s reactions in Spanish at times when it might be easier to express emotions and feelings. I love to see her included in your channel.
Unchained melody was sung by Bobby Hatfield. The other member of the duo is Bill Medley and I noticed that someone suggested you check out You've Lost That Loving Feeling by them I agree. You could do a search for then on RUclips or Google to see what other songs they did. Another I remember is soul and insperation.
"Soul And Inspiration" by the Righteous Brothers showcases the "other brother", Bill Medley's baritone voice very well and the harmonies when Bobby comes in is really outstanding.
I'm 72 years old, and I have been listening to this song since I was a very young girl. It still gives me goose bumps almost through the whole song - I never get tired of hearing it - He had such a beautiful voice.
Okay Bobby and Bill had their own style when they came to blue-eyed soul where they could, sing together, or sing a solo. They were together but they were apart and I know it's hard to understand but they are so versatile they were silver so they're together and when they think alone they were really good too cuz Bill also saying solo too it wasn't just Bobby all the time. But to me the best part was both of them singing together as a Righteous Brothers I like them when they sing together, and what was so great about it was they still did their own little thing while they were singing together so that's what made it so great.
I had the pleasure to go to one of their concerts many decades ago with my date. It was amazing! Even though I'm 70 (soon to be 71), it still feels like yesterday.
Saw Bobby do this live in 2002 & bring the house down - lady"s in wheel chairs were trying to get up for the standing`O
“You’ve lost that loving feeling” is another huge song from them. Been in lots of movies (most people know it from Top Gun - Maverick and Goose singing it in the bar scene) I’m sure you’ll recognize it :)
They were performing and as they passed someone they said righteous man! That's how they became the righteous Brothers. 2 of them.
I don't know if ur Christians, but one Saturday when I was off God turned on my radio and played this song for me, from beginning to end. Then radio shut off, HE is such a supernatural God.
Member of a ancient cult.
Bobby made it look so easy! No auto tune..& a Live performance! Incredible!! Who can do that??!! His range is out of this world and the control he had was just.....amazing! He does it so effortlessly! They did do solos throughout their careers. Bill Medley & Bobby Hatfield!
Created a Secondary channel for Discussing Hot Topics.. Would be amazing if you would Subscribe, here is the link.

For the info behind the name, it is called Righteous Brothers because when the 2 men went singing at a specific time, someone exclamed this line to them : "That's righteous, brothers" and when they heard it being said, it stucked to their mind and chose to keep it as their name!
the interview before the song is pretty hilarious and they go into why its just him singing
You've got to listen to "You've lost that loving feeling".
Look for "You've Lost that Loving Feeling"
Thank you for playing a song from the Righteous brothers! I love their music!
You may want to listen to their song, "You've Lost That Loving Feeling".
The brothers always did a single on their albums each one of them and they fought over who should record this there was a coin flip and Bobby one this was the only single that went to number one
Yes & Bill Medley was the producer on this until it became a hit & the record label had to repress the 45"s when Specter's name was on put on it. I have a 45 rpm.
As a fellow Vocalist ... Bobby Hatfield this is probably the best Live Performance ever performed of any Song ever. And yes, there are 2 "Giveret" ... but if you search for the intro to this performance with Andy Williams, you'll find out the story behind the Band name and why only Bobby performed this Song solo. Having been in Studios where we can "punch in/out" to get the best outcome and performed "live" as well, there are "choices" are made ... SO many factors go into it ... climate, mood, sound guys, et al. As an "old guy" a reminder that this was "pre-Auto Tune", Tube Amps and a Mic with far less dynamic range that what's available today. So few of us (and certainly not me) can hit high C ... post puberty (LOL and MJ could do it RIP). Utterly amazing IMHO. Just a "visual" note as well ... pre-MTV and the part where he begins to sing about how "lonely Rivers flow to the Sea" sync'd with the fade out with the yellow Globe bulb lights was SO cool ... again, IMHO.
And BTW, Todd Duncan was the original release Artist in 1955.
This is one of those songs that hits me hard and makes me think of my wife. Literal waves of happiness from it. Get similar feeling to wonderful tonight by Eric Clapton, and Flames by VAST. keep up the great vids sir, enjoy your thoughts and perspective. 🤙🏼
There is such a beautiful smile of joy in your eyes that she is enjoying the song so much! Great reaction
One of the best vocal recorded performances ever.... period,
Love the looks your giving the camera knowing what is coming musically
One of the best songs ever and best performance of a song. He was so good.
"Soul & Inspiration" & "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" both by the Righteous Brothers! Truly Amazing!
There is always a great joy introducing a friend to wonderful music from a different era.
Great song. I enjoyed watching Cynthia's first time reaction to it. Nice of you to share the experience with her.
Welcome Cynthia 😊 You'll love this song and channel too 😄
♥️No one can even come close to what the Righteous Brothers did with that song & I have heard many versions over the years. They own that song!!! I never get sick of listening to it.♥️
I was a young teen when this was released, and it still has the same impact now as then. The best slow dance song ever recorded. It puts you in your own world when dancing to it.
Pure, beautiful voice
Sir, you have the most amazing voice.
I was lucky to see Hatfield and Medley several times in Vegas in the 90's. Great Performances all the time.
My wife and I have been to 3 Righteous Brothers concerts. Thier performances were always perfect
Greatest version by far! GORGEOUS woman!
I love the older singer before atto tune. Beautiful voice. Great channel👍🙏🙏😎🇺🇸
Oh, this song. My love just went away on a trip for two weeks, and here I'm crying. Love this!
There were two of them. Fortunate to have lived through that ERA and they were awesome. New to your channel and love watching your reaction to the old songs and providing your assessment of the vocals and the songs.
These were absolutely amazing!!
A blast from the past ,, welcome to my world , I grew up in those times , I'm now 72 yrs old , I never tire of listening to that kind of music ,
I listened to the Unchained Melody clip. The other half of RB was Bill Medley, better known for many from the "Dirty Dancing" film soundtrack. Both are probably best known for "You've lost that lovin' feeling", one of their original hits as well as being featured in "Top Gun" (original). That's easy to google, Why didn't you look that up before doing this vid?
I watched this live in 1965 on the Andy Williams show. Before he sang the song both of them sang together. When Andy asked Bill why he didn't sing on Unchained Melody, Bill replied that he didn't think it would be a hit. Said he kicks himself everytime it's played since. Bill had a great sense of humor.
You have such a good sound system listening on a such good and beautiful song
When they first started out at one of their gigs, after their performance someone in the audience yelled out, "That was Righteous brother!" And that name took its hold as The Righteous Brothers.
