Hellfest from Home took place during pandemic lockdowns. There was no audience present and the entire festival line-up played to no one. idk where the standings are now, but for the first 6 months after the streams Jinjer was the most watched by FAR, and there were some big name bands on the bill.
In case you are concerned about how live this is - check out another live performance of this track, official live (live in Kiev). It's more popular actually than this one.
You'll see that both performances are different in details but comparable and equally great.
And you can compare it with the OMV (sudio) version. You'll find out that it's way different and, well, it's cool but not equally great as both of the live performances.
"On The Top" is one of the best examples of the case when people say - Jinjer is better live.
Another example is "Pit Of Consciousness".
It's OMV is very cool, worthwhile to check it out.
It has great guitar playthrough by Roman (who's usually outshined by other band members but he's equally talanted as all of them).
But it's official live (live in Kiev) is something else, absolutely astonishing performance IMO. Especially Tatiana's vocal perfomance in a slower part of the song. And overall composition becomes more clear.
Another great example is "Who's Gonna Be The One" official live (live at Atlas).
By the way, while Pisces is the most popular video on Napalm Record's channel overall, this one is the most popular live video there.
This live is great because of Tatiana's hypnotising stage presence.
And it's way different from the studio version because it was recorded with two guitars, later they recomposed it for one guitar.
It's Tatiana's bithday today (15th March).

I am retired now and Jinjer reactions have become kind of a hobby.
Yeah, definitely live. One of the tightest bands around. They do have backing tracks that sit underneath when they play, for extra vocal layers or a second guitar part. But that actually makes it even more impressive they can pull it off the way they do when there IS that extra track which would highlight any errors or mistakes. Incredible 🤘🏻
Check “Pit of Consciousness” live in Kyiv. You’ll lose your minds.
It is not out of the picture that a mixing engineer reworked the song after the recording, like the version of Perennial live in Wacken found on the Napalm Record channel which sounded much tighter than the one published on Wacken channel later.
Jinjer - Call Me A Symbol (Official Live in LA)
On The Top is from the Macro LP 2019. Call Me A Symbol is from the the Wallflowers LP 2022. The two songs are unrelated.
Capitalism and greed is the theme of On The Top. It follows from another song that appeared on the previous album, King Of Everything called "Dip A Sail".

Finally someone doing the best version of on the top.
The bass in this song is easier to hear in the live in Kyiv version of this song. This was done in a large empty room for no audience because it was during the pandemic. The band did great but they hated that gig because at the end of the songs it was dead silent. All streamed to the internet. Because there was no one there there was a lot of echo and it didn't sound as tight as it would have with bodies in the room.
And by room you mean an outdoor venue, as most of these big festivals are 😜
@@BTAColorado It looked like and sounded like an indoor space. Don't know specifically where it was but I do know nobody was there save for crew. I don't know why they would do it outdoors. What they should have done is let bands do their performance in a studio if they wanted to.
@@coder4liberty Hellfest is an outdoor venue in Spain, where they have the Hellfest Music Festival. Captain Clock at Hellfest was the same place but with an audience.
@@BTAColorado I realize what it is. Where in that entire concert video does it show they are outside? If I'm wrong that's fine but it doesn't make sense financially or logistically to do it that way if there is no audience. Regardless my comment was not about where it was. Maybe not argue about that.
@@coder4liberty There is drone footage that shows the stage, pyro setups, structures behind the stage and treelines as they fly around. Also, there are other bands that played daytime shows for the streamed festival and it's clearly an outdoor stage in those.
Hellfest is in Clisson France. Wacken(VAH-ken) is in Wacken Germany. HellfesT 2021 was during COVID and they performed without a crowd. They said afterward that it was really weird.
And the horse was Secretariat not Sea biscuit.
This is a live performance. The Live In Kiev version of this song is also incredible. There are vocal backing tracks at points of this song, but they are always lower than Tati's voice.... you can also clearly hear the slight variations Tati does with the vocals from the studio track.
I've seen them live and the entite band are excellent. Tati is a force of nature. Vocal talent, stage presence and great lyricist.
