so heart warming to see someone smile from the inside out, only took 5 seconds... you clearly understand music & the artistry that comes with it, much love from the UK
Loved your reaction 💜. When you're ready for another Big Push busking session, don't miss Wade in the Water /Nina Simone /Trouble So Hard. It's their 2nd most viewed video and for food reason.
Ren has spoken about the time & effort he puts into the sound quality of his videos, going into incredible detail to filter out unwanted sounds & enhance the warmth of the music. This is a prime example & I think he spoke about it in his interview with The Charismatic Voice.
I always think of this as the Marley song. Road To Zion is by Damian Marley & the 1st line in Hip Hop by Dead Prez is a Bob Marley quote,"One thing about music, when it hits, you feel no pain."
Can’t go wrong with The Big Push, anything Ren has something to do with is just magic!l! This is one of my favourites, I like the original but this takes it to another level! You’re right, it’s like a hybrid between Bob Marley’s and Eric Clapton’s version but with a Ren twist on it! Nice rundown and reaction, I guess that you really enjoyed it 😂 For more check out their take on Warpigs - it’s 🔥🔥🔥
As an audio engineer you might be interested in how Ren managed to mix this and make a street performance sound so good. It's the interview on "the charismatic voice" channel on youtube.
The song "Hip Hop" is from "Dead Prez". I wish realy he had made a full cover of this song. It is so good. If you want more recommendations from Ren: "Money Game 1-3" (rapish/ragaeish) or the Hunger (rap). both highly recommended 😁
Me 18 months ago "Well yeah of course, he's a really good busker. Probably one of the best I've heard". Little did I know the scope of this amazing man's talents and the depth of his problems.
Wonderful reaction. I love your passion and energy. So knowledgeable as well. I hope when Ren gets out of his medical treatment in Canada (April) we could get some new music with him and the rest of the band.
Ren has spoken a few times about reactors and how some of his subs will sub to them and some of theirs will sub to him. 'A rising tide raises all ships' is a quote he likes😁 I would also suggest when you do 'Genesis' and 'Murderer' do video 1st then Acoustic to appreciate the difference 😉
Also, love the whole vibe of the video 10/10, but I would be curious to also hear your thoughts from your audio engineering expertise. Ren did an interview and spoke about his super intricate engineering of his tracks because a lot of them are recorded live. It might be up your alley if I understand your profession. 🤘🏻
Thank you for the sub!! And yes I will be doing videos where I go further into the production/tech side of things…what I am calling the “deep dive” series🙂
@@ginxreacts In a more recent live recording ‘For Joe’ you can actually see Ren’s setup in the video itself (Logic Pro running on his laptop). In earlier recordings Ren already used to record all instruments separately as well (though not directly to Logic I believe rather using any device available such as phones, ..) to get the best possible audio quality after meticulous editing in post (not adding, just tweaking all live sounds to get this kind of astonishingly superb audio quality). Ren even mentioned in an interview that he got into an argument with an audio engineer who couldn’t believe the audio was indeed from the live recording of that set in the video. Typically Ren saw this as an enormous compliment rather than an insult. Even offered to show the guy the raw recordings and tracks… This artist never fails to humble me: if not with his otherworldly talent then by his kind and loving nature in general… I secretly still think sometimes that he really is an actual alien 👽 😂 Great reaction as always! ✨👌
More big push on the way? Bongo bong 😊 fantastic reaction 👍👍✌️ funny you should mention Frank Sinatra check out... Ren karaoke rendition Fly me to the moon 😊😊🔥🔥
Additionally you might also want to check out another Big Push mashup including a Nancy Sinatra song: ‘These boots are made for walking/Satisfaction/Everybody’ (recorded in a laundromat, not a street busking vid, but the way they seamlessly blend together those 3 song is just amazing). Anyway, I just thought of that one in particular cos of the Sinatra family connection here . Of course there are loads of other great songs out there to discover, but an extra reason to check that one out, is that is has been strangely overlooked by most reactors and deserves more attention imo. ✌️
❤❤ I so love how people seem to be struck dumb by REN and also by The Big Push. People who know their stuff inside and out can’t form words when it comes to REN. It is testament to his skill and relatability. Really enjoyed your joy watching this 😊
You’ve come on so much since your first reaction…. I love your flow so much. Red suspenders and all (in England suspenders are used to keep ladies stockings up) just saying… keep on reacting. Best wishes 🫶 Richard from London x
Hey. You need to add The Big Push War Pigs (Black Sabbath cover) from the same set I think. It's actually War Pigs morphing into a 4:11 Ozzy Fest with a guest appearance from Rage Against The Machine
What a great authentic reaction. I could see Ren absorbed in the music the music in the crowd and crowd energy flowing back through you magic moments. You are great being you is so awesome to see. After this they played “War Pigs 🐷” mashup and the final one was “Paint it Black” Dive in to this magic day the Big Push did live on the streets I only wish you could have been in the crowd that day. Peace and Love from Australia ❤ keep being you and rising so naturally ☀️
My favorite video on RUclips right here. For the vibe alone. Everyone does their thing, and the level of joy is infectious. This is my go to whenever I’m feeling down. Cheers!
Isn't Ren SO sexy. I'm so in love with him and every single piece of music that I've seen/heard from him. Great reaction. I've subscribed. I'm addicted to Ren reactions. And also a sub set of Reactors reacting to friends, reacting to Ren. LOL His new CD is AMAZING. I play it constantly in my car.
Ren and Sam Tompkins earned it/ man's world/ falling will give you a new rabbit hole in Sam Tompkins have fun! And thank you for the reactions enjoyed them greatly

You should check out their take on Wade in the Water/Trouble so Hard! It really shows their soulful and bluesy side. And you can really see the communication between band members on the fly. Plus! The guitarist Romain Axisa just put out a song on his channel called Time After Time, it’s so beautiful! Lovely reaction :)
Ren and the big push also has War Pigs and their original track watch out all within this busking performance these you’ve gotta react to you’ll love the vibe crowd reactions a truly awsome watch !
You do you young lady, your reaction's echo the excitement I felt when first watching this video, I was expecting 3 "tribute" songs not a mashup of the 3 together, at first my mind couldn't deal with the switch ups as he switched tempo between songs even though I should have expected it from hearing his other songs where he constantly switch's tempo and flow. My favourite Big push "Tribute" is Englishman in New York", but the best Big Push song has to be "It's All Right".
Ahhhh this was so freaking fun!! Huge smile on my face the whole time 💙 And please, take it back! Take it all the way back as much as you want! We love listening again and again too!😅
If you want to see a very young Ren you should react to his very first band Trick The Fox and the two songs I would look up are called the Mash up and Runaway you will love it
Relationship goal: To have someone look at me the way GINX looks at Ren. Can't blame you, Ren IS music. It just pours out of him, and we're all lucky to be alive in the same era as Ren. Love your reactions. Please keep them coming.
Can't wait to see where you go next on your Ren adventure! 🥰 It really is so much to take in all at once - please don't apologise for pausing and rewinding whenever you need/want to 🥰

Yes, the bluesy parts are similar to Clapton's version. Not his earliest version, but the way he was playing it in the 90s. I think Ren is paying homage to both versions while making it his own. Neither is a straight copy from the other versions.

Fellow sound engineer …… joyful, loving your reaction. Check out Money Game Pt 3 and wonder at the sonic purity of a masterful performance that is captured live.
I really like The Big Push, What Kind of Woman is this. They use Jimi Hendrix,Muddy Waters onto the Byddy Guy original. It is fire and they all 3 sing.
Kinda helps a reaction when your not looking at everything but what your reacting to The crowd reaction is a Big part of why this became so popular Amazing vibe going on You should just get out of your head and enjoy the experience.
Yeah, I think this is just Ren's take on it. Clapton & Marley defo don't do it anyway, and I'm not sure of anyone else well known covering it... Tbh, I'm a big reggae & Bob fan, but from this set I'd still say their Black Sabbath cover beats this.

Ren doesn't just perform. He IS the music. It's a natural extension of himself.
Ren does Rens version not mimicking anyone else, but paying homage to the original!

War Pigs next!!!🔥🔥🔥
Can you imagine just walking down the street and coming across this?
Yes!! All of them!
Not sure what you wanted to know, exactly, but Hip Hop is another cover. The original was released by the Dead Prez in 2000.
Entire "Red Suspenders" set was legendary. War Pigs mashup, Paint It Black and original song Watch Out all worth a reaction from that set.
As mentioned elsewhere, the whole "Red Suspenders" set is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
