I envy you guys who are still young enough to think of bugging out when the SHTF. I had all kinds of plans once to do the same but being 70, low income and in some what reduced health I've resigned myself to being one of the ones who stand our ground and keep the wolves at bay for as long as we can. My thoughts are with you and I hope any little thing I can do on the home front may keep the enemies, who ever they turn out to be off your backs until you can escape ! Good luck !
+Regor Haroscoe older I get I have same feeling. Just make it count
It's always good to catch one of your older videos. Thanks and best wishes!
So many great ideas you have, I just today purchased a 1976 19 ft. Bendix Lifetime RV built on a Dodge F30 chassis 360 V8. It has 78k miles, new tires, and new brakes. The inside is all redone removed all the old and just have what is needed to go camping.
I keep seeing these for sale and I always gravitate towards one of these over the cargo vans, camper vans, converted box trucks or school buses--even the Sprinter vans (which I really like, but they are very expensive). Thanks for this. For years I've thought one of these would make a great RV and you've proven it. Nice!
By the way, I'm starting off with my daily driver Ford Transit Connect (2012). Maybe over this next year of savings, I can formulate a plan. I'm between a bus like that or a tiny-house (two very different things).
That is a really smart idea for your toilet I like your bus very much. Great job
Baby Mae Mae rules! Great job on training your Yorkies. They listen very well. I hope your vehicle serves you and the doggies well.
My first look at B.O.B. Perfect for one person! Nice looking too. This is the first video I have seen of yours before you got Tucker! BOY, was there ever something missing!! You didn’t even know then what a precious buddy you were going to end up with!! I saw the video where you were given Tucker. That was a match made in heaven for both of you. 👍👍❤️🐶🐶. 🐶( soon to be)
I had a nice long series of questions for you but then, after posting it, I read further down that you had sold it which made my questions null and void. It was a nice little B.O.B. I really enjoyed watching it and have subscribed.
+Wysiwyg101 I would be happy to answer any questions you may have had. Be sure to find me on Facebook as well. Thanks for watching!
I like it when you link to older videos. Keep it up!
Been scrolling through some of your old videos and found this. I think I've mentioned I'm several years out from getting a rig so I've just been window shopping for ideas. I've noticed a similar bus locally for sell and wondered what could be done with one. Thanks for sharing.
Hahahah.. cute little babies you got there (the dogs)😃 thanks for sharing the video I enjoyed it very much and I think you have one heck of a set up there I love the fact that it's camouflaged as a work van/truck.
BUG OUT BOB! What a find. Glad you rescued this one. STEALTH HEAD IS EXCELLENT.
Love those two girls too!
Nice camper bus. Lots of things you could do with it for sure. Also I remember the 96 rock days. They had t-shirts with 96 rock on them when I was in high school. That tag bought back some memories. :)
First time I’ve seen BOB. Looks and sounds like a good deal. Your Big Foot and the A look better for you and the babies. More room for a big guy to move around. 👍🏻🤗
this was an excellent video, and you got yourself a Great truck, thanks for the tour, Cheers.
I like B.O.B. a lot. Had a neighbor who converted a church bus to a motorhome (on the cheap.) No solar panels but he welded a 3000 watt generator on the back bumper. 2 years ago he hit the road and no word from him since! :)
Your "open air toilet" concept is used plenty in tiny homes. Somebody says "Excuse me while I take a dump..." same time he lifts the cover. Immediately, he has COMPLETE privacy. In our 2001 v-10 motorhome We keep several small inverters. Plug one in when we need it. You could sell your big inverter on eBay and you could afford a nice tv and some other finishing projects. =GREAT JOB!
+OgMandin0 Mr Ragpicker, thank you for the kind comments! This bus is now sold. The small inverters suit me just fine for my needs and eat less power doing it. I recently purchased a cobra 2500 watt, but it will power a good bit more than just a cpap. Hope you have time to follow my other builds.
Dang, Kevin. That thing looks ready to move in to me! Great job and looking forward to seeing finished product.
I hope you subscribed Will Burson! I am a fan of yours! I have actually just purchased a class b campervan a month or so ago. Going thru a full mechanical updating. Its just taking much longer than expected. Eric did a vid on it.
Yes I have subscribed and look forward to watching you and your lovely ladies' adventures! By the way, I think your under the cushion toilet is awesome. If anybody gives you trouble, it's just because they didn't think of it first.
Will Burson if only my little dogs would quit farting and blaming it on the toilet under the bed......
Campervan Kevin haha
I had never seen B.O.B. before. (watching this in 2021) That is a NICE conversion!!!
I am also looking around for one to call it my home, I am happy for you, it's the best way to go, no nosey neither to fight with,
B.O.B. is very cool! Nice job on the handy work.
glad to see an air conditioner. I'm planning my first van conversion but my biggest concern is having a dog during Canadian summers and winters
Bob is awesome, thanks for the video. I had a 97 e450 shuttle bus with the 7.3 diesel that I was planning on doing this with before I bought my motorhome. This really makes me miss that old bus.
RV Crazy I have had 4 , 7.3 diesels. Good engines but I will always have gas from now on.
Wow, can you explain why you're going to stay with gas now? I didn't use my 21 passenger bus enough to really figure out fuel economy but with how everybody seams to love the 7.3 I'm surprised to find you saying otherwise.
I have had 4 7.3 powerstrokes. Great engines. The cost of service at around 175 k on these engines can run around $2500. For 3 k I can get a new v10. The v10 will do 80 percent if not better what the 7.3 can.You have to be towing over 10 k to really see that difference. I averaged around 13 to 14 in my e350 ambulance dually that I once had. By the time you figure in oil changes, and cost of fuel difference- the v10 levels out. If you have a 7.3 be proud of it, but don't overlook the v10.
You did a nice conversion job on BOB, very well thought out.
Lol the good ol 96 Rock tag! I'm out in Monroe and still have mine somewhere handing around.
Good stuff and good job! That's a great BOV. I have a 4wd Econoline that is mine. Keep up the fun!
Johnny Cooper Send some pics of your 4wd econoline to my Campervan Keving fb
Sure thing.
I sat up when you said "solar system" lol
sweet rig! Watching the vids and getting some ideas for my e150. Keep up the good work!!
Great idea how to hide the toilet. This is something I will consider for my school bus conversion 😇
Greetings from Germany
Wolfgang
One of the few tour videos that i watched in its entirety. good show
+Man Van It is a great bus. However I have just completed my 87 campervan and believe I will sell Bob.
I LOVE BOB! I'm currently searching for my first home to go. I would love to find one like him! I would put my desk where the twin bed/lounge is though. I have been wondering how one of those portable home a/c units would work I a van/RV. Glad to see you used one with BOB with good results. Wish I could have seen how you drained it. Just a hole in the floor? Hmmm. I guess I'll figure it out! 😉
Nice rig you have. I enjoyed the video and looking forward to seeing more. Thanks for sharing.
Nice job on BoB..Thank you for the video..Have a Blessed Day..
Yup if I do van livin I thought I would rather get one like this. I'm glad I finally got to see one done. Thanks for the share. Nice. ONE LOVE
thanks for the comment, hope u subbed my channel. take care
Excellent video......very informative.....thanks for sharing!
I love it!!! Especially where you have the toilet! Great idea
Very cool! Good job. Thanks for sharing your experience with it. 🚐
Awesome video, thanks for the mpg info, looking to try something like this!
I love it. Right now I am in the research and development stage. Not sure when I am going to be able to start van dwelling. Maybe in a few years. But its something i am totally interested in. I love your Bob. I am leaning towards one of the small school buses. But this is a nice layout. Love the kitchen especially.
IrishMex84 This was my second attempt at interior.
Love the dogs. You've done a good job! I only wish I were on the road too!!
That toilet is perfect!! Once you pull the mattress up it covers the Windows for more privacy. 😄👌
BOB is awesome!!
Dunno if anyone has mentioned yet, that CO2 detector should closer to the floor, as CO2 is heavier than air. By the time it hits that location you're screwed!
Keep up the good work!!
Michael Hosburg I have it at sleeping height, but will consider moving it down.
Dude... very nice. Very reasonable and straight forward... good job! Guess your gas mileage is OK... great fun.
now I have a BT cruiser that is same size as B.o.B. No regrets building B.o.B
Great vid. Stealth camping, sounds like a challenging interesting project.
Since this vid I have decided that stealth is just not really an issue for me
Excelleent job of converting the bus. Great use of space !!!
Cheers !
Marty L. It was my second try. Made 90% of mistakes first time out
I tried that toilet in the bench on mine...very heavy when having to dump. Completely redoing my Bus!!
My man you did one heck of a job on that van , one of the best self made iv seen so far .
Vegans Kaboom thanks VK!
B.O.B. looks great! Good idea for hiding the toilet and if it is just you it doesn't matter. Yorkies are great dogs and yours are so wellbehaved :) Thanks for sharing.
swheatrv ole lady doesnt like it when I make her get up so I can take a crap. jk thanks for watching!
Thanks for the reply...I'm just now starting a youtube channel...hope you subscribe and check out my RV "Rudy" Always looking forward to your videos :)
Very good! I wanted to see one of these converted and you have some wonderful suggestions. Thank You so much.
+Kathy Fann Keep it simple! Works everytime!
B.O.B. is awesome. I just about fell over when you said you bought it for 3k. I'm going to start looking for one of these to make into an rv. Don't tell my wife ;-)
whats here name? I promise I wont tell. whistles as walking away.....
Most I found were over 5 to 6 grand and had over 300k miles on them. I'm not saying its not possible to find, but you are going to have to spend some time looking. Parkway rv has one for sale for about 11k. They have a website. They are in Ringold GA.
Ouch. hahaha
Campervan Kevin aa
Ok!!! I need to finish mine! I initially was looking for one of these but opted for a Step Van.
The Fuze Group dont sweat it, mine is not finished either. I thought when I bought the camper van that I wouldn't have to fix anything up cause it would all be done....WRONG. ha
Blast from the past. Nice build
B.O.B. is B.A.D.A.S.S...nice job, Kevin...never would've thought of this...therein lies the stealth factor, huh? Love it man...FORD...DAMN RIGHT, FORD!
vrooooom vroooooom
Nice vid brother. Top level security team there too man!
I love the toilet, what a great place to have one.
WOW, I would LOVE ME A B.O.B. ! ! ! I have to do with a rusty RV for my FIRST go round! :)
I have a V10. I hope to get 10mpg!
Nice being Blessed with the ability to make things isn't it Kevin?...good job brother...
thanks! I have handy friends too :)
You got me thinking ... I think I would build a toilet/closet combo. Closet for storage of things like tools and shoes maybe. Still like your solution.
So cool! Cute pups!
I love the toilet idea! Nice job all over, but the placement of the toilet was a surprise. Love the 96 Rock tag too. I have two from back in the day.
interested in selling one? or both?
Campervan Kevin
No thanks. They have a lot of sentimental value to me. One of them is one of the first ones. The other one is like yours. I even have a 96 Rock key ring. I really loved that station and the good times had during that time.
I am the same way. I have one from late 70s early 80s that I couldn't part with. I finally had to take it off as it was starting to weather. I found a reproduction that looks PERFECT. Very proud of it as well.
Campervan Kevin
Where did you find a reproduction? and are they still available?
the lady had 200 made. she sells them for 50 bucks a pop on ebay. one time I talked her into two for 50 but we disagreed about shipping. I was able to get my first one from her for 10 bucks. I ended up buying 5 for me and friends. I wish I had got more than 1. 50$ is stout. I just checked she is still there. put 96 rock tag in search engine ebay
Really like Bob. Good job. Your dogs are sure well trained.
Gary Anderson Yorkies train you, you dont train them.
Cute dogs and well done with your van, very clever.
su wong thank you!
Enjoyed your video. Got a lot of great ideas. Thank you.
Tresa Lamb welcome to the fam! Hope you keep watching the show.
Stealth RV with a "stealth toilet" - luv it... new subbie.
Big bed, lots of room, simple appliances, cool job..
Cool set up, nice job...
Nice van. I'd keep the 2 rear windows and remove the other 3 to give it a nicer more balanced look. Love the portapotty location! 😃
B.Vantastic the 5 windows help with stealth though because it looks like a typical shuttle bus.
Very cool Kevin! Funny your working in my neighborhood with this rig as its basically exactly what I what to do for a tour rig with my BMX team...lol
Very cool :D
good meeting you today. Hope you sub my channel. take care
Campervan Kevin Just did buddy :)
Very nicely done, well planned. P.S. High Five 'FM 96'; hate it's gone.
Graet job, Kevin! I like old Bob. And ye little hounds! I'm near you, if I ever see you on road, I'd like to see old Bob!
+Taka Yama BoB is now living in Colorado with its new owner.
Love the toilet out of sight! Clever!
Very good, That's a good looking one.
Very well done. Nice work. Looks great!
TravelingManVan thanks!
Cool Camper. Love the toilet too!
+Gary S Its a great rig. Thanks for watching Gary.
Very Nice Rig for sure. You have a talent.
sold B.o.B to a guy in Colorado. I enjoyed owning it
I love B.O.B. saving up for my camper too.
Great Vid...! Absolutely adorable Yorkies! :) Best of luck with BOB... :)
Bobby J Hope you watch some more on my channel.
Very nice, loved how it was set up. I was looking into a promaster for a new van and was looking at configurations, your is very nice, might use parts of your as ideas ( cute twins )
+Russell Albrecht this was my second attempt. I sold this rv, but very glad I built it /owned it.
Glad to find your video today as I was just looking into purchasing one and it was great to see what you have done. Amazing price you paid as well. Excellent job and cute pups too:)
Love your idea for the commode! New subscriber cute little pups!

Raykenn1 appreciate it! More on B.O.B soon
I like what you have done.

I enjoyed that rig
Nice gave me some ideas if I can't find a camper van
Really cool! Thanks for sharing.
RV DogVentures thanks for watching
really great layout, looks like theres plenty of room
snoopy speagle plenty thats for sure
excellent deal and setup going on there!
artofbrowneyedgirl thanks, hope u subbed!
yes of course!
that bus is badass. love the toilet idea.
Charlie Ice SMC I like the bus too. I think hidden toilet works well.
nice van. good job!
Pre Tucker!! Cool van!
Totally awesome really perfect I'm jealous
Nice setup. Love the toilet arrangement. I've been a bit apposed to getting a toilet for my tiny van. However, if I can stealth it like you did yours then I might reconsider. I just have a tiny transit connect btw for short 1 to 2 week trips. Maybe set up a bench/short couch in the back with the stealth toilet. Then have it maybe fold out to a bed at night. All kinds of possibilities. Thanks for the ideas.
Awesome set up!
I miss it sometimes. That was a good machine.
B.O.B. was awesome!
💕🐶🐶🐶🐩
I like Bob. I am looking for something like it. Being 7 feet tall has made looking and affording challenging but God has it worked out. I will explore church buses as a source. Thanks for sharing.
I dunno if I'd attempt it again. I would find something already built. I don't know how handy you are. I did get your other message. Daily life is so crazy right now, dunno when I will be in ATL
Campervan Kevin - I'm about as handy as a bull in a china shop. As for meeting up, I would be willing to come to you. I would do anything to escape the crazies of Atlanta!
The toilet reveal! Brilliant!
looking forward to this project!
