hey brother if I am a youtube host content creator you think I should change the ad sense property for youtube from http to https, I notice the option, just trying maximize revenue and secure site?
Thank You. This is my first comment on RUclips, Though i am using it since 2014. i have seen lot of tutorials but this is first time i have commented. because you are awesome man...!!
I typically don't comment on videos but dude thank you so much! This absolutely fixed my issue. GoDaddy wanted to charge me extra to a package where they would do it which would be an extra $150.00 a year or something crazy. You saved me a bunch of money, thanks again!
Thank you. You speak at just the right speed for me to follow along easily. Clear explanations of exactly what you are about to do really helped my understanding. Great job! I did as you instructed and my site now goes straight to https every time. I have "liked" and subscribed.
You know you are awesome, I was not selecting the correct home drive and hence I was not able to fix the https redirect issue. I have seen multiple post and videos but told about this. But you told about it and I have fixed my https redirect issue on my website. Thank you again bro.
hi i need help on how to remove a message which pops up when i try to go my domain name and it says "index of and it gives me the panel which appears on cpanel where i need to click my aploaded file before it can take me to my website instead of taking me straight to my website
Great video but what if you already have an existing .htaccess file that have code already where do you put the redirect? I crash my whole site even the cpanel by placing the code.
@@kingsley15 is there away to contact you so maybe you can walk me through this? I have the ssl certificate install godaddy hosting using Cpanel linux and appache. The .htaccess file is one long line of code and don't seem to be working correctly.
Excellent! My host provider wanted to charge me to manage my ssl and i was able to to do it online. My ONLY issue now is i dont see the LOCK iccon like all the other site with SSL on them.
Well, I tried it and it was a complete success!!! :D. Thank you very much! I have a problem/question though, I have some images (social media icons) on my website and that still triggers the unsecure conection message and the yellow triangle sign instead of the green padlock. How could I work around that?
Hello I have activated SSL without any problems but when uploading the HTML template to the hosting site and logging in to the template is a mock-up, and if I'm logged in without HTTPS, I will work without any problems. Can you guide me?
simple and straight forward , l subscribed u bro , keep it up . somehow if l already have tht .htaccess file , is it fine just to paste that code inside ?
Youve saved many users a lot of ca$h by sparing them of having to purchase SSL Certificates which can run up to the hundreds of dollars. Thank You. ( _love your accent, sounds a bit Irish_ ) :)

Thank you so much sir. This really helped...I followed other tutorials and i was really looking at tough process. This one was really easy and i was able to work it out on my website. thanks a ton !!!
Dear friend , Drupal 8 how to setup http to https. Becuase default .htaccess file already enabled you shared that code. my url http and https both if i manually typed working. how to setup default https first priority.
Oh yeah that's actually true! That's one of the most annoying things when doing web development. You can also just launch your browser's incognito mode, that usually does the trick as well.
What do you mean your Facebook says you need https, what exactly are you trying to do? Maybe your redirect is configured correctly. Try clear your browser cache and go again.
I followed the instructions but I am having problems when I refresh my website it shows secure for 1 second then goes back to unsecure...I don't know what to do
I think that might only be the case for you, due to browser caching, it's probably fine if I went to your site. You might have to clear your browser cache, if you're using Chrome, then just press CTRL+SHIFT+DELETE to bring up the settings for browser data.
Thanks my brother, I called my hosting company and they checked it out, and there were images with http addresses which I had loaded onto my website, so they told me to go into the website and change the http to https... I did that and it works correctly now....thanks for looking out my brother I appreciate it
Well this step is only for setting up auto redirect, you'll need to make sure you have SSL setup as well. I have a video on how to set up free SSL: ruclips.net/video/LSwi75LocHs/видео.html
Doesn't matter, It's seen as the same thing. You can have index.html or index.php By default, servers look for those files as the starting point of a directory. There are a few other defaults but those 2 are the usual defaults - you can even set your own directory index file in your .htaccess file. Anyway that's a bit off topic.
What do you do if you already have a .htaccess file with code? Whereabouts do I paste the new bit of code? This is what I have in my .htaccess file: # BEGIN WordPress RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . /index.php [L] # END WordPress
Automatically redirecting HTTP traffic to HTTPS depends on the type of hosting you have. The code demonstrated in the video is Linus/cPanel servers.
Good job my man, you are the first black guy I see doing tech videos, thanks.
Legend! Got it working on my site. Go hiontach ar fad!

This guy is not an IT Professional.. he is a Magician.. Amazing tutorial....!!!
What if already have .htaccess file on file manager , then should i delet that ? Please reply
You copy and paste the HTTPS rewrite code at the top, above your code in the existing .htaccess file.

Nah, adding that to your . htaccess file wouldn't crash your website. Just append the file - add any additional code to the top of the file.
