This was so helpful!great video! Any tips on recording music covers with a G7X Mark III ? I have the blue snowball but I don't know exactly what to get to connect the mic to the camera ?
Do you know if you can you record into the camera so to have the blue snowball audio rather than the camera audio and it go onto the memory card as the audio rather than the cameras mic audio?
sorry for the silly question.. once the snow ball is mounted on the camera do i connect the snowball with my laptop to turn it on? thanks for the great advice!
Thx for your review, the snowball seems very good, but I wonder if I need to upgrade my PC soundcard to get the good sound? My Hp desktop just uses onboard chipset, is it enough to get good sound? Thx
Nice one mate! I've been looking into the snowball ice for a while now. Since I'm still at uni, I have a tiny budget and I wanna limit the amount of equipment I've got for RUclips. I didn't know how am I supposed to use it on hot shoe and desktop recording. Btw, where can I get a 58 thread mount? Thanks.
No probs, I was in Uni myself when I made this video. I usually get most of my camera thread screws from AliExpress, it's cheaper but takes ages to arrive. I also use Amazon.
the power of ten I don't have a fan base, probably due to my inconsistent uploads and I mainly make tutorials so people are just here for the help. I don't mind though, my main reason for uploading videos is to help people. Appreciate your comment, its nice to see someone notice :)
Great video! How do I connect the microphone to the camera though. Its the very small male I think its called port and I want to know how to get a cable to connect to that from the blue snowball. Thank you so much!
Yes, I process that in post production. It's easy enough: 1. Start recording from your mic and camera 2. clap a few times 3. use a video editor to line up the claps from the camera and mic audio 4. once lined up, delete / mute the audio from the camera and use the mic audio
I record my camera and Blue Snowball at roughly the same time, clap 3 times, line up the claps from my camera audio with the claps from my Blue Snowball audio. That basically syncs up my video with the Blue Snowball recording. I then remove the camera audio and keep the Blue Snowball audio. Sounds more complicated than it is, but it's really easy!
Can u please help with connecting my Canon sl2 with the snowball mic...i have tried using your videos but it's not working. I am trying to connect the snowball directly to my canon camera for an external microphone. Is it possible? Please help
But there’s no way to connect this mic directly to the camera? What’s the point? I have this mic and I’m trying to connect it to my DSLR.. I guess it’s not possible :(
That's because this isn't a mic that's designed for use with a camera body like a DSLR or a mirrorless. That's the whole point of this video, I wanted to show the alternative way of going about this :)
Hey, I really like your content (+1 for also being cute)! I'm looking into ways to work with what I've got for videos so this was super helpful. ~subscribed ^-^
Great way showing how to mount it, but how do you get the audio from the snowball coming directly from the DSLR? I am confused lol.
it takes an adaptor that only costs five bucks on amazon. shorturl.at/zFVX5

What are you using for a mount? I'm trying to figure out a way to mount a Yeti and a Canon on the same tripod. Thanks!
What is that connect to the 📷 showing what you're recording? I keep calling it a tablet but it's not eight?

No you use your phone just like in this video.
Dude great content. There isn't much out there showing this simple set up, thank you!

You don't need a sound card. It's through USB anyway so a sound card wouldn't make a difference.
thanks very much, you help me a lot.

you could get a usb adapter cable or female usb with the small male on the end, then connect that to your existing cable
Thank you for the information. Can you show me how to setup ring light, with android, and snowball?
Great video but How do you put the recorded voice over the camera video? Do you do that in the editing process or they recoird together?
Yes, I process that in post production.

Kingsley's Tech Channel lol that's a pretty good way to edit it great video thanks again
Would this also work for a point and shoot
If it has a hot shoe mount, then yes.
This was handy as I have one of these and the apple camera adapter to plug into my iPhone .
What camera do u have???
Panasonic G7
Thank you for your snowball videos. I bought one recently and you're helping me get mobile. Cheers!
This might be a dumb question but I was wondering how you take a video with the audio with a blue snowball?
