Thank you Kris, spent literally a WHOLE day trying to find a suitable mic for iPad. Then I found your video. Thanks to your video I’ve got mine on order 😉
How do you use headphones with the snowball as for me whenever I connect my headset to use as headphones it uses the mic in the headphones instead of the blue snowball.
On a computer you’d go into the settings of the program you’re using and choose the mic for input, but on an iPad most apps haven’t been written for different mic inputs (at least cabled, GarageBand does let you switch to wireless Bluetooth devices) so when recording on iPad you’ll have to use a pair of headphones that don’t have a built-in mic.
Thanks for this video, I just bought two of these but my mac mini won't recognize them both, only one microphone. Apparently, and I didn't find out about this problem but after the fact, you have to send the mics to the manufacturer to be reprogrammed so that audio midi setup can recognize them as different mics. Instead, I think I'll just plug one of them to my mac mini and the other to my ipad and after that Ill mix the sound together.
Hi I’m really interested in this mic and you did a really good job in explaining what it does. But one question, while you were showing and explaining it to us did you use the same mic to record?
hello, i´m from Mexico. I dont have the best english but i want to know if you can say to me 1.- what program you recomend for ipad or iphone; and 2.- what is the name of the piece you use to conect the port usb of the blue snowball to te ipad or iphone. Thanx a lot!! =)
Indeed a cheap and good solution, can be connected via Apple Camera Connection Kit, as it does not come withi lighning Cable (unfortunatelly). The pure iOS devices like Apogee Mic+ or Blue Raspberry can connect directly without that Adapter, but the price is doubled.
what did you use to connect the ipad and the microphone??
Kris Abel Can you somehow hook the snowball up to your iPhone?

The sound on this video about a mic - is awful, how ironic.
The Blue snowball is better than the mic built into your laptop *no sh!t*
