    It's so true how everyone's stomach is different. I have IBS and when it's acting up I can only eat really bland things like plain rice or toast - definitely not lentils or broccoli!

    • @limination
      @limination 2 года назад +5

      Lentils and broccoli are well known as food you should try to avoid - they can cause IBS symptoms, mostly gas or constipation. I was really surprised to see them in both of the recipes.

    • @evecarter617
      @evecarter617 2 года назад

      So many things give me gas. I avoid broccoli too. cauliflower and brussel sprouts are a hit or miss. Mushrooms too, and sometimes cabbage. Cant do onion or garlic either anymore. I take gas med every day and constipation too, so I take stool softeners as well

      YOU HAVE IBS BECAUSE YOU’RE RUINING YOUR GUT WITH INDIGESTIBLE FIBRE, & PLANT DEFENCE CHEMICALS LIKE LECTINS. VEGANISM IS MALNUTRITION. WE ARE MADE FROM SATURATED ANIMAL FATS, OUR BRAINS ARE MADE FROM FAT AND CHOLESTEROL, EAT ANIMAL FOODS BEFORE YOU DIE. DRINK BONE BROTH TO HEAL YOUR IBS. WAKE UP.

      I used to have severe IBS for years, I had cameras down my throat into my stomach and one up the other end looking at my colon and all the specialists said it looked normal and I would have to follow a fodmap diet, I did that for a year or two with hardly any improvement in my health. I got to the point I was FORCED to do extensive research into nutrition and biology. Now I don’t have IBS at all, because I eat OUR NATURAL DIET which is animal products. I’ve healed my damaged gut lining which is caused by things like LECTINS and GLUTEN. Plant foods are POISON.

    Hope you feel better soon. I know for myself, I find oats, all nuts and seeds, but especially almonds and flax, to be very inflammatory (cause IBS). If you really must eat grain, White rice seems to be the gentlest. Vegetable soup and fruit smoothies are soothing and gentle.

    Smart idea to grind the oats to make the porridge smoother. I’m definitely going to try that. Thanks for the idea because as of a few years ago oats give me problems as I cook them down for two hours. Grinding them seems like it might be quicker

    It is also important to know, when to drink or not to drink water before/with/after food. Ayurwedic approach might be very usefull with that since it concerns the stomach issues a lot.

    Hi Malin! Probiotics on a regular basis my friend! In the form of a tablet, kombucha, kimchi, sourkraut, miso, tempeh or yogurt, mix and match! Your gut needs a dose of TLC: good bacteria, as many strands and variety you can get. Hope you're feeling better soon xxx

    Thanks for sharing this with us. I have IBD and also eat squash and sweet potato. It is strange how we can stress about stress. I have used an app called Nerva that has helped me it uses hypnotherapy. It can be hard to have to limit more foods when your vegan because we have already cut out so many things. I find going to restaurants a huge struggle now, even the vegan ones, hot spice is in everything or it's fried- yum vegan junk food.

    Marlin, sympathy with you and your tummy but even if you plantbased a Great tip write down what you eat every day to see what effect your tummy. I eliminate certain "stuff" veggies or fruit. I got tummy problems for many years. But if you eat like 2 table spoons of Sauerkraut you will see it help. Theirs heaps of recipes on pinterest and 2 cabbages will last for months. Good luck😊
