Hello my friend, I love the quality of your video!! Bery detail and meticulous work. Thanks for showing us how this is achieved, pleasure to see hands on work
Great video man, glad everything went so smoothly! Sometimes updating BIOS can be a little bit of a hassle, specially when you need a compatible CPU first lol, wish every MB had a BIOS Flashback feature... But the performance boost upgrading to the latest Ryzen gen is so worth it, AMD sure knows how to deliver quality :)
Yeah very true, the performance increase has proven beneficial, BIOS update is always a risk and makes me nervous every time but thankfully it worked out, just finishing editing the entire BIOS update for a Gigabyte system, so hopefully it'll help others out some. It'll go live next week, I'm finally getting a head of the game for once. AMD continues like this it'll be my go to for a long time. Glad you liked the video it's been well received so far. Much appreciated. Thanks
i have a ryzen 5 3600 should i update my CPU i hear my CPU is going obsolete but i still able too stream and record and game fine on my 5 3600 cpu also i upgrade my gpu from a 1060 6gb too a 1080ti 11gb i like the upgrade . also i scored a deal on m 1080 ti from my family friend 100$ if i was just some friend from school someone he just met in the past year i would pay 400$ but since he is a childhood friend we know each other since we was 8 years old he charged me 100$ it runs like a dream . bios updates are the annoying things when doing a upgrade i hate it .
If your still streaming with no issue's then I'd wait until games demand more, your 3600 will be great for some time yet. The GPU was a great price for the update. I'm working on the BIOS update video now actually, it'll be up for next week. I did one for MSI already so have a few others to do as well. You're right though it's a process for sure. Have a great day.
Not trying to sound like Mr. Know-It-All, but why remove the middle screw? You only need to loosen the screw under the fan, and the rear screw to remove the cooler. The middle screw is just there to attach the bracket to the heat sink base. And that motherboard brought back memories, it was the first Ryzen MB I owned. 😁
I see that you said the the MB didn’t like the 32gb 3600 mhz didn’t like the speed how it can be lowered i just swap mine and start acting up i took them out re install them is working but want to know just i case. Thanks for this video
The default speed is set on 2133MHz, it's the XMP that increases the speed. Turning off XMP will set it to a speed the MB will accept. You can try adjusting the speed manually but that's a more advanced method. I'm not well versed in doing this so there is a risk to it but there should be some videos showing how to do it, I don't have one on my channel.
Heh, I have a very similar system, a B450, that very same memory, almost the same mouse even, but I'm also sitting here with a 5600 next to me to replace the 2600. - The only major difference being that I have an RX5700 and I have an AIO on the CPU. And it struggles to break 75 degrees Celsius maxed out, so no sweat, even at around 4GHz, so I'm curious to see what the 5600 will do in speed and temperature. - My motherboard's BIOS is currently on 2.80, though, which apparently is from 2020, so... yikes... I'm definitely going to have to make a big jump, which I hope won't mess anything up.
If you need a BIOS update for the CPU it doesn't usually cause concerns, but there are always risks with updating the BIOS to be sure. But once updated it usually has updates that will make things work better.
Good to know a Gigabyte B450 can take the upgrade. I was a big dumb when I built my rig. I chose to save 36 bucks by not getting the 3600X. I just hope it works as well with a 5700G.
As long as the MB has a BIOS update for the 5000 series then the 5700G should work straight out. The 5700G seems like it'll be a great CPU. Best of luck with it.
Depends this is upgrading from a earlier Ryzen CPU to a newer one, so a BIOS update was required, if your updating the MB as well so that's the start of a new build, so you'll need to consider do you have the correct memory as well, but the MB might be newer and may not need a BIOS update any longer. You may not know until the system is put together.
i want to update my pc from a 2600 to a 5600x and with this last don't boot, i have an asus prime x470 pro that i've applied a bios update (6042 last version) but don't boot with the 5600x, so i tried to check that cpu on another mobo, and yeah it works.
The Asus Prime X470 Pro should easily accommodate the 5600X, so double check that the BIOS update did work by verifying the BIOS Version as it should be fine if it worked. I checked the BIOS Version and it is the correct one. If you have the correct BIOS then I'm not sure why it wouldn't work as it should.
The BIOS version I updated to was the B450AE.62c, but there are different version depending on what Motherboard you will be using, to determine the correct file to use you need to ensure you download the one that applies to your specific MB.
I just upgraded my ryzen 5 2600 to 5600x but nothing happens when I turn on the pc Enough time has passed to make the monitor show the "no image display" message The fans are working but no image
@@davidjames3259 at first it was really great, but upgrading your cpu means 3 things that I find the most important 1.Bios check, if you have an old cpu before you change it you need to update your bios 2.Temperature, faster speed means higher temperature, if you have stock cooler or not the best one, you should buy a better one 3.Gpu, I'm currently using a 5800x and a 3060ti, with a 5600x I highly recommend a 2060 or something better to avoid bottlenecks Edit:But even if you dont have a great gpu, the difference is noticeable, but you need to know that most of the games are graphic card dependant, the only time you need a better cpu is when you have a bottleneck because of a 3060ti and a ryzen 2600 for example
If you need to replace a AMD cpu... I'd suggest running the computer for about 10 minutes before the replacement process, this will heat up the thermal compound and it will be easy to just pull off the cooler rather then doing it without heating the cpu Like you said, the cpu comes off with the cooler sometimes.... Give it a try if you can.
The latest BIOS for the B350-PLUS is 6232, as of 14 Nov 24. This BIOS update includes AGESA version ComboV2PI 1.2.0.C, which should improve compatibility with newer CPUs like the Ryzen 5 5600X. However if its not working a few things to try are: Check CPU and RAM Compatibility: Ensure that your RAM is compatible with the Ryzen 5 5600X. The Ryzen 5 5600X supports DDR4 memory up to 3200 MHz3. If your RAM is faster than this, try running it at 3200 MHz or lower. Clear CMOS: You can do this by removing the CMOS battery for a few minutes. Check the CPU is properly installed and that all pins are correctly aligned, and the CPU cooler is securely attached. Reset your BIOS settings to default and see if that helps. Lastly ensure that your chipset drivers are up to date. You can download the latest drivers from the ASUS support website. Hope that helps. If all that fails then it could be your CPU or the Motherboard itself.
It looks like another smooth deal by you Dennis.
It's always nice when things work.
