Do you like Persona? Yes? It's good. Did you like persona combat but found social links convoluted? Its simpler Do you not like persona? Its not gonna change your mind. Easy answers 😂
This game is a masterpiece for me. Story and characters were beautful and for the first time in my life it is a game I want to platinum. ONLY thing I wished was in the game is romace, since I feel it would fit the game especially considering the ending
The game is undeniably great. One of the games that I enjoyed from start to finish like other ATLUS titles, despite of few quirks. AND YES HOW COULD I FORGOT THE ROMANCE THING!
Opposite for me. I mean I loved the game and I was pleased they didn’t include romance options. It works fine in other games, but I agree with the developers who said they purposefully avoided that as it would dilute the experience and themes.
@@makasete30 That's fair. The only reason I said I wanted romance is because I really enjoyed the female characters. Plus, since we became king it would only be fitting to have a queen.
Biggest issue for me was … everything. This is my first JRPG and tactical RPG ever. After 30 hours I started to know the mechanics. What I learned: 1: use all the archetypes, some do ZERO damage to some enemies - do not focus on one build. For example learn the healer archetype level him up when it makes sense (enemies with light weakness for example) and then give the group healing ability to a fighter or something. Just an example. 2: go grinding a little bit here and there with min. 2 merchants on weaker enemies (blue ones) 3: Synthesis is very powerful, see that you get good combos with other party members 4: go to toilet every Sunday 5: you can buy a handkerchief that allows you to defend for free. Give this to 2 party members. In defense mode you can not get debuffs like sleep, poison etc. - this item you can buy in Grand Trad at night only. This item is crazy helpful. I play on hard btw. This game is perfect. It’s deep story and gameplay is awesome. And I love the design.
Idk about 1 as Merchant exists and is one of the most powerful Archetypes when used as a team. An Almighty attack that has a base 35% Crit move on top of an extra 30% Crit from Diligent Discipline and only costing a measly 500 money is one of the best strategies in the game and no bosses can negate this (despite Diligent Discipline being +5% it becomes +30% on a full team). You’re really not punished for exclusively using this team as you’ll build up Exp leaves at 20 so you can still level other stuff if you want.
about Follower schedules they kinda dont exist. You can pretty much hang whenever you want (assuming you meet Virtue Requirements) but they will take a 1 day break before being able to hang again. Sometimes you find that they just don’t wanna hang again and thats coz you need to wait for story stuff to happen (sometimes they have a quest tied to starting them occasionally).
They are somehow linear yes but it still add some decision elements to it. A lot of people still told me that they were not able to max their bonds. But that will boils down on how one is efficient of spending days especially in dungeons.
I am loveing the game i am doin first sub dungeon in city been in dungeon for 10 hours now farmed 61 1k archtype crystals so far. So far level 28 main character love the game
I'm loving the game so far. I have all characters besides 1 I think, that's where I'm at. I kind of don't want the journey to end. I've spoiled myself out of curiosity regarding regicide difficulty and as much as I love this game, I can't see myself doing a 2nd playthrough because for me, while the combat is good, I think I'd go and play Nocturne or vengance strictly for combat. The story and interactions is what sells me on this game. I honestly haven't finished a persona yet, enjoyed their combat but I get bored really quick with modern day social links. About the only thing I remember is eating noodles with some dude over and over while talking about girls to raise 1 of the tarrot cards. Whatever they do next, I want them to double down on the story/socials. They are the best part of this game and perhaps rethink new game plus.
Thanks for sharing Henry, ATLUS truly have this special series for us going. Each of them has their own shine. I felt that way too, especially when I played my first Persona Game. Being involved in the characters are such a priceless experience.
I'm 100 hours in, it is finally starting to get stale. I'm tired of how unbalanced enemies are in dungeons. The game twists your arm into grinding, but that eats up your calendar. If I farm I get OP but then it feels pointless by the next dungeon. I understand why they made most common enemies one hit ko in open world, because it would drive me insane if I had to hit everything 1k times, stalling for stuns between, like fighting mid-size monsters.
Yeah idk even on regicide it hasnt been a problem, though I did notice that after getting a crit their stun gauges sometimes just regenerate lol. But its like persona, use buffs and debuffs and things fall over. Didn't really grind at all until the end
@@feircy most Atlus games you don’t need to grind in. Just get better fusions or recalibrate your strategies. The only time I grinded in this game was because I wanted to see all the characters at max level for fun
@@Lonewulf321 its a little less btoke thsn persona since the skill inheritance is much more limited, no way to repel all damage etc without using endgame or NG+ accessories, but you can 100% make one shot builds critting for over 50k
I enjoyed the game, but new game plus? I dont like it. I have to speak to all my companions ALL over again just to unlock the archetypes again! And i can't use my ultimate archetype from the start in new game plus. I don't like it at all. 😅
Me personally I like that only bc if you did max out your royal virtues you can just bang out the follower ranks easily. The only one I problem with is Gallican’s since her is story based. It also adds some difficulty in some way
Yeah I do have the same Sentiments. This is one of the reasons why, I see more value in ELITE archetypes since they have such longevity. While the Royals are so OP, we had so little time with them.
Wow! I don't blame you when you tell me this, but you are great on this game. Keep up the good work. I'm about to exit the mid-game in a few day, and I'm enjoy it to the full its. I'll see ya later.

@@dediualex3554 did you play on hard? Cause I’ve played every modern atlus rpg and on hard the first few towns were pretty challenging. Especially since I always try to clear in day one

From what I played, Eupha is the only romantic pairing the game features, but even then it's not apparent and confirmed

I agree if this is the angle, staple JRPGs do not have this and seen it in years. But some part of me really love to see the romance side of things.

@@helpihavebats6392you are right I guess. Merchant is OP. But for me it’s too boring to play only 4 merchants the whole time.
After 30 hours you learned about everything? Well no shit that’s a huge chunk to of time to learn every game.
I am glad you love it! Welcome to the JRPG world. Hope this begets more journeys!

Great video from Mr. Samurai :)
Thank you as always Asche!
Idk there is something off about this game I can’t seem to finish it it pales in comparison to P5 Royal in my opinion.
I see, I see this game as a gem of its own. P5 is strikingly good yeah.
I actually prefer romancing saga 2 due to more game focused than dialogue. But thats just me, this games story telling was great though!
I am looking forward playing Romancing Saga 2 as well!
