Bro doesn't know many of the skills that apply weakness to their own skill? The ice weakness one and fire weakness one were easily my most used in the game. And the mage knight synth move thet applied lighning weakness carried till the mid game.
I adore Metaphor, but I wish new-game plus actually gave us something to do that was worthwhile. You can tell that they started to run out of money towards the end of the game - the quality of the cutscenes, the areas, the Voice scenes, all take a bit of a dive. From what I understand, this was supposed to be a a side-project, and it grew and grew into something far more important - but it seems the budget didn't grow in scale with the scope of the game. I hope when they make "Metaphor RE:RE Fantazio" they'll add more into New Game Plus.
I didnt struggle with Regicide that much on NG+ as you can bring your OP weapons, armor and items so early enemies get bodied by normal attacks. Final boss is also cakewalk compared to the Secret Boss as you will have accessories that just repel Phys and Mag.
Nice vid, this is exactly what i wanted to see after beating the game. But what was your strat to get to lvl 99 and which enemies drop bejewelled roots for 3000 a-exp?
The fact that I ran past all the humans to see what that last boss would be like only to get freaking creamed over and over again… at least I beat the hardest version
Regicide should’ve really been available from the beginning it’s a shame, it was really fun and challenging when I did NG+ and gave everyone equipment they got at that stage of the game.
Tbf, Miracle Cirque is a physical attack, so it makes sense that Junah can't do anything with it. It'd probably be better on Strohl or a certain later fella.
Also fun fact! Frigid Ice Fortress is busted. My final party was Junah (RMD General Mask), Strohl (RS), and Hulkenberg (RK). Myself, Hulk, and Strohl inherited Frigid Ice Fortress and you can create a one time weakness to ice with Junah against ALL enemies, then cycle your 8 turns for around 8k Damage (higher if you also manage your buffs and debuffs well.) each round. Magic builds are nuts.
So, mind you, I'm on the outside lookin' in here, I can't afford the game, so... My opinion is a bit iffy since I don't quite know how good the healing items are in this over other Atlus games... But like... Of course the Healer isn't going to be good at dealing damage. It's called *THE HEALER.* That's like opening a can that says 'Baked Beans', and being disappointed that it wasn't Spaghetti-Os.
I hoped regicide would be like Godborn from SMT V where you keep everything but the enemies get juiced to max level. You are op but so are they and the only thing helping you in combat is everything you learned up until now.
She had to have been a party member at some point during concept phases and she was probably replaced with Basilio to keep the one per tribe thing they were doing
I played hard with only luck stats and my max damage was 550 or so, and then I came to youtube and I see 7x times more damage I was so upset that I deleted the game(i was stucked on dragon's towers)
Speed stats affect the hit rate and dodge, and not helping that she and her knight class as starter slow down lots speed, so better use item increase her speed stats
In my opinion regicide should had been available for the first playthrough not just new game plus and one day I hope Atlas add a skip prologue option because it super slow even when you skip all the dialogue. The intro make the beginning game unbearable to playthrough
I find that to be a problem with most Atlus games. They need to do a new game plus mode where it skips the tutorials and early dialogue automatically. The early game is the reason I haven't did the other route in SMT V2
This game's only glaring issue with new game plus is the need to grind back all your hard earned archetypes since they are locked again behind the bond system.
with how fucking awful my party comp was for the final month and boss this video just purifies my soul seeing all the one shots. i fukcing hate that this game makes it almost mandatory to do every side dungeon to overlevel the content and make op archetypes to stand a chance. i was also mp starved the whole endgame leading to me not being able to beat more than 2 out of the repeat bosses so louis was even more of a drag just because i didnt know mage had mp exploits. because you dotn fucking get good mages until the end of the fucking game so i just skipped the calss after early game
@FlameOfUdun96 than my bad must have skipped the part. i presume i wasn't voiced so i missed it. its still weird that he never did this in gane ever so to introduce such a crucial mechanic to that area so late into the game. yes its my fault mainly but the game is at fault too
I dont disagree necessarily. But healer is amazing early game with pugilist cause of the amount of holy weak enemies in thr early game. Swordsman and other then tarukaja seeker such so much ass.
oooh trials before louis, that should be fun! :) oh ok so that's another dragon, ugh a hard battle incoming... uhuh dragon's lvl 70 wow, and mine... oh... 54... The fire dragon was not the hardest one. its easily the devourer of stars which is the hard one. it drops your HP to 300, hexes you, resets buffs and debuffs etc. flames gets dropped by null and repel fire equipment
just remembered a counter argument: fire dragon does charm to everyone which is much worse than hex because of turn loss and one shot move next turn, and further in battle he's doing this combo more frequently, up until back to back. plus null fire are post dragons and repel is one accessory (dunno if there could be copies outside ng+)
Do you just not have the option to do Regicide without NG+? Sounds disappointing, although I'll at least say that by most standards, the early game of Metaphor on hard was incredibly tedious if you cared about the time management part of the game (having to go back every time to massacre weak mobs as mage to recover some MP was not very thrilling). Bit of a bummer that equipment carries over though, perhaps there was a more elegant way to transfer things over. Perhaps skills you bought in the previous playthrough could still be accessed, that'd be neat and not as crazy.

No joker boss battle, bit of a walk in the park.
I'm in Brilehaven and it hasn't been too hard. But I'm using the OP Mirror accessories that repel either physical or magic.
If you get to the end of the game and save up all of the incenses. Do they carry over? Could you incense immediately to like level 1 but 20 in all state?
Do i need to leveling up again if i want play ng+? Because my previous level already full level 99.
Sadly, yes
@monlei1020 to bad, im already master all arcthype too.
Archetype levels carry over @@raupaup5
Bro doesn't know many of the skills that apply weakness to their own skill? The ice weakness one and fire weakness one were easily my most used in the game. And the mage knight synth move thet applied lighning weakness carried till the mid game.
I wanted the Star Shatterer trophy and I immediately regretted it. It took me over two hours to beat his third phase.
How long did it take you to grind to level 99? Like I did some grinding in NG hard to get to the 70s, can’t imagine how long getting to 99 would be.
Regicide should’ve really been available from the beginning it’s a shame, it was really fun and challenging when I did NG+ and gave everyone equipment they got at that stage of the game.
i really hope we get a "royal" version of the game
You are op but so are they and the only thing helping you in combat is everything you learned up until now.
hopefully Catherina becomes playable on DLC
She had to have been a party member at some point during concept phases and she was probably replaced with Basilio to keep the one per tribe thing they were doing
@@WinstonOfDojima they are both the same race
@@jassimmudhaf234 I know lol that’s what I said
@@WinstonOfDojima OK I thought you meant that basilio only existed to replace Catherine which made no sense to me
I played hard with only luck stats and my max damage was 550 or so, and then I came to youtube and I see 7x times more damage I was so upset that I deleted the game(i was stucked on dragon's towers)
Hulkenberg let me down repeatedly the entire endgame. Especially with her randomly MISSING ALL THE TIME
Speed stats affect the hit rate and dodge, and not helping that she and her knight class as starter slow down lots speed, so better use item increase her speed stats
I would rather be forced to finish SMT IV on master with no demons auto battler only than play this mid
DDS Demi Fiend is still the Goat boss then.
Ding ding ding! The correct opinion has arrived!
with how fucking awful my party comp was for the final month and boss this video just purifies my soul seeing all the one shots. i fukcing hate that this game makes it almost mandatory to do every side dungeon to overlevel the content and make op archetypes to stand a chance. i was also mp starved the whole endgame leading to me not being able to beat more than 2 out of the repeat bosses so louis was even more of a drag just because i didnt know mage had mp exploits. because you dotn fucking get good mages until the end of the fucking game so i just skipped the calss after early game
If you talk to Neurus at the start of the final area he fully heals you including mp
@michaelherrmann5562 i didnt know that. thxs for sharing but how was I supposed to know. he never did that prior
Skill issue
@@averagesoul8256…he tells you lol
@FlameOfUdun96 than my bad must have skipped the part. i presume i wasn't voiced so i missed it. its still weird that he never did this in gane ever so to introduce such a crucial mechanic to that area so late into the game. yes its my fault mainly but the game is at fault too
Good video
Eupha's paladin isn't maxed, noooooo
I dont disagree necessarily. But healer is amazing early game with pugilist cause of the amount of holy weak enemies in thr early game. Swordsman and other then tarukaja seeker such so much ass.
oooh trials before louis, that should be fun! :)
oh ok so that's another dragon, ugh a hard battle incoming...
uhuh dragon's lvl 70 wow, and mine... oh... 54... I can bet him without farming right?... right?
*2 days later*
YES this fire oneshot dragon is dead yappie
*couple of hours later*
wait was he the hardest one? I fought for 2 days with the hardest of them all??? these dragons are babies!
*today*
oh wait what lvl is louis? oh he's lvl 82 and mine... omg 71 it's 10+ lvl difference again! how did I win this???
edt: hard difficulty btw
The fire dragon was not the hardest one. its easily the devourer of stars which is the hard one. it drops your HP to 300, hexes you, resets buffs and debuffs etc. flames gets dropped by null and repel fire equipment
just remembered a counter argument: fire dragon does charm to everyone which is much worse than hex because of turn loss and one shot move next turn, and further in battle he's doing this combo more frequently, up until back to back. plus null fire are post dragons and repel is one accessory (dunno if there could be copies outside ng+)
Great vid. GOTY
I disagree with the healer opinion. They're supposed to heal. They aren't damage dealers.
bro cheated the archetype grind forsurree lol
Do you just not have the option to do Regicide without NG+? Sounds disappointing, although I'll at least say that by most standards, the early game of Metaphor on hard was incredibly tedious if you cared about the time management part of the game (having to go back every time to massacre weak mobs as mage to recover some MP was not very thrilling). Bit of a bummer that equipment carries over though, perhaps there was a more elegant way to transfer things over. Perhaps skills you bought in the previous playthrough could still be accessed, that'd be neat and not as crazy.
There are some saves that some people made that allow you to play a NG+ run without bonuses, making it the easiest way to do a clean ng+ run. Best we have so far
trust me. you totally need the First playtru savedata before NG+ regi dificult.
You dont. Its not that difficult. The only problem is MAG costs
@@Lonewulf321 I have found the superboss flag and difficulty address so can access both without actually needing a ng+ no bonus save.
New game regicide is a perfectly viable first run. I don’t know why they locked it tbh
@@Ziroikabi my comment was for people who have no ability to change their game data.
"Metaphor: R E fantazio" 🤢
Wait, is that not how it's pronounced??? Is it Rayfantazio???
Archetype levels don't carry over? 🤮
They do, but they're locked behind Bonds.
Regicide is not hard all you will breeze through under 15hrs compared to hard first run. The only parts you will find hard all the same is the rng if you go to fight these 2 at low level like i did. Apocalypse dragon at lvl 63 bit of a headache, true dragon at 65 rng made for 4 retries. Now going to see true ending boss, no guardians killed and i suppose that one is a nasty one. Unless you look at cheese guides which is rather dull and pointless. Theres always those cheese guides, which sucks the fun out of achieving highest difficulty kills.
