Starting question just determines starting stats. After that it’s one random and one you can pick every level You can test it by running thru the first say fifteen levels multiple times. Ignoring the ones you’ve selected yourself, the stat increases will be pretty even (so, t about three higher in every stat than it was after you answered, again ignoring the points you picked yourself)
Additional tip: The moment you start to have your own Gauntlet Runner, try to go to the washroom from time to time, it has a low chance to give you a permanent plus 1 on your luck stats, taking a shower gives your protagonist an additional EXP and pantry for free ingredients
Raise the Healer rank as fast as possible. Not only it gives you speedy cooking skill, it also raises your post battle exp gain significantly. For that, you need to have rank 4 tolerance.
@@JRPGSamurai same but after the first bounty I said let me see what this desert is hitting for. Started off great, but then I got kicked in the back of my head outta nowhere. Chicken took me out in two turns 😂😂
Saw some criticism I disagreed with. I really liked your tips and they're helpful even as someone that has played plenty of Atlus games. Some are obvious but these are for people who are new to Atlus games/RPGs as well as those that are just new to this game. Really good stuff here, man! Definitely going to check out more of your videos
I would to thank you for voicing this out. This is exactly my point that I am telling people about. There are so many things that can alienate a newcomer when playing ATLUS games and its not a surprise that it is the basic and common ones or the mundane things that people are commenting. Starting with the schedule, people will be surprised how many new players are being paralyzed by just handling their schedule. This is a non common game design in JRPGs. Thank you Grawman and I appreciate it. More guides coming!
Also, always save before a boss fight and before doing activities in the gauntlet runner do you can reload your game after you get weaknesses and resistances
To be fair, str/magic stat only increases your damage by 1.18% per point. So, I don't think it'd be much of a concern whether people want the MC to have a physical or magical build despite the lack of high magic stat party member early on
I’m playing Dragon Quest VI right now and it has classes you can have your crew learn at the All Trades Abbey. DQ did it 1st but this game definitely does it differently. Funny. Same stuff just done differently. Makes me more thankful for the DQ series, but I’m having good fun with Metephor.
@@JRPGSamurai oh it is my friend! It’s where all the console RPG’s started! 1986 DQ1 came out and it’s been setting the RPG trend ever since. We in the U.S. got it late due to translations coming out later, it it lead the way for Final Fantasy and Shin Magami Tensei, which the 1 FF came out in 1987. @@JRPGSamurai that’s amazing man! Glad to hear you like it so much. Oh yeah, one more tidbit of info. Dragon Quest IV introduced the 1st ever monster catching mechanic as a side thing. Ranger McRyan was the character who was able to have monsters on his team. They then added it in the mobile version of DQ5 later. They really are legendary titles!
@@epheusikay Thanks epheus! Will try my best to be better everyday! About the build, depends my build is pure str and luck thats why I pump into str. But any build will work. If you want to go for the magic route no issues there!
Damn I didn't know the question that man asked you affected your stat growth. They did a Kingdom Hearts. I coincidentally picked the one I liked anyway. Got that magic.
My question is about the best time to go for a dungeon. I completed Belega and Grand Cathedral one after the other, so 3 days. Now the game opened and I have until day 21 to do anything. I got a bounty request for a monster in the desert. Can I go for it and spend a whole day in the desert as an optional task or does that dungeon become story related later and I should wait until everything I need to do there is available and I can do everything in just one day? And meanwhile I spend my time raising my stats and social links? I know there's a lot to do in the desert, I just don't know how many times I can go to spend an entire day there.
Ok so here's my general tip in terms of handling Sched, if you are into farming, I suggest, putting 1 to 2 hours straight in the Desert, this will cost you just 1 day. 3 if you are an extremist, maybe 4 if you did not max at least 3 to 4 Archetypes in the Cathedral. I am assuming you can 1 shot all enemies in the desert by saying this. The reason that you want to max out your dungeon runs is, it is much better to focus on Requests and increasing social links than going back and forth dungeons. Now regarding the Chimera bounty, you can do both. Accept the bounty and farm after in the desert to complete both if you want. It is also helpful to save scum if you are not sure or just testing stuff.
@@JRPGSamurai Thank you for the answer. And yeah, I did grind, maybe too much haha, I'm level 23 with the 3 characters. I'm already doing the one-day-dungeon strategy with grinding to a certain level to make it the best out of them. So it's alright to go to the desert and spend a day there, great. My main concern is having to go back to an already visited dungeon in the future and wasting another day there. I think you also gain stats with the bounty, so it's also worth your time for that.

Sad to hear that your caught of guard by ATLUS game's usual design. MP in ATLUS games are usually your determining factor that limits your dungeon exploration. here in Metaphor Refantazio they were lenient to be honest. a lot of things to circumvent this. You have MP recovery passive which can give you unlimited MP as long you know how to manage it and first aid skill that only cost you 2 mp that can heal you outside of battle. The long dialogue is pretty much expected as well.
Sorry to hear you were really pushed away by that. I hope you give it another shot sometime following his tips. If it helps, you can fairly quickly fast forward through dialogue and skip cutscenes. But if it's not a game for you, it happens! We all like different things after all
I've been wondering... have anyone figured where to farm/hunt stat boost incense yet? I finished the game and restarted on regicide however the time needed to reach the bath option is quite long considering how it goes and also, enemies on SMT and even Persona had a drop chance to get those from time to time. I'd expect their drop be very rare or even requiring the merchant 2nd tier to bring both item drop passives while hunting. I can confirm one possible drop though at early game... we can farm Mag boost incence from the gargoyles at the capital(there are many on it but drop is kinda very low, i wish we had acess to all our arch and 4 skill slots from start... would run the 2 item drop boost alongside Ninja class from the start while beating everything trying to find/meet what drops what e.e.
I absolutely feel you. I am wondering too myself. Hope we can get answers soon since I am kinda focusing on general guides. Its fun to know the little details to be honest.
Another tip, right after reaching the 3rd city and being invited into the night bar, don't rush there. Save 120k money to this exact day and talk with a merchant in front of the potion usual store, this merchant rotate accesories and right in this day, should be selling Archetype ring(boosts the a-exp gained). Buying 4 for around 160k money is the ideal but with 120k can buy at least 3...
