A tip about mp pool issues - if you unlock and use the Mage for anyone in the lead, you can kill easy monsters for mp-per-kill. So, if you switch to the Mage when you start running low - and switch back to your main Archtype afterwards~
This is also valid for the blade dancer/mask class, though this one don't hit AoE and only front, its better to farm near the red crystals. The good thing is that this one doubles with healing along mp
Better yet. If you want to farm, Use Shield passive skill of Wizard, and equipment that boosts attack/defence/hit+evasion for party at the start of battle. Attack some weakling, then pass the turns (or guard) you get 10MP per turn for having buff on. You can have one do some Ma-buff and repeat for that enemy as long as you want.
Tips: Exploit weakness whenever you can even if your only option is with item usage. Every extra turn matters in later boss fights. Sometimes the best option is to Pass. It only uses half a turn crystal and can manipulate the turn order in favour for your damage dealers. If a character is weak against an attack but Block it, it will not give extra turns to the enemy.
for tip 7 i found that locking on to an enemy then attacking you will dash over to them then attack. and that traveling to akademia and then leaving will respawn most enemy's
Knight has a 2MP heal outside battle. Pair that with the Mage passive to regen MP and you can farm without mp/hp issues. EDIT: Now that I'm further into game and have Reserve team mates, I would recommend learning Knight on team mates you don't use so their MP pool can be used for Knight's healing ability after a battle.
A good tip from me is you can see what Synthesis Skills combo with your Archetype on its details page. Cannot stress enough how crucial they are on Hard Mode.
There's just to much to this game between being on a timer essentially and then the vast amount of classes and shit just stresses me out to the point im more worried about making mistakes on my build than having fun.
Another tip, right after reaching the 3rd city and being invited into the night bar, don't rush there. Save 120k money to this exact day and talk with a merchant in front of the potion usual store, this merchant rotate accesories and right in this day, should be selling Archetype ring(boosts the a-exp gained). Buying 4 for around 160k money is the ideal but with 120k can buy at least 3...
Another tip is to never feel bad if you repeat the battle. By doing this, you can discover the weaknesses of you enemies, because resetting the battle will keep the elements or weapons that you have tried.
5:30. I actually had one that respawned repeatedly. Just had to pop into the first rest area in the mausoleum, pop back out, and it was there again. Every time. It was weird.
Understanding how to properly grind was big for me, as when I first started, I actually got soft locked on a timed dungeon beacuase I was under leveled.
@@calvin659 I played on Hard. Zero grinding required. Just learn how to use your skills effectively. If you’re grinding, then you’re probably doing something wrong. If anything, I was always under leveled, since anytime I got a new party member they were above me in levels.
Tip for you. If you lock on enemies, character will charge (more like teleport to) enemy and attack them. Making running to them not needed as you have shown, and saving time.
No need for store discounts, just run merchant > Tycoon. With enough luck almost any butterfly enemy killed on the overword will drop mp restore items. You can also mass farm MAG _really_ fast.
One thing I wish I knew was that hard mode isn't actually as difficult as I thought it would be. Everything I read said this was harder than Persona, so I started on Normal difficulty, only to find I was breezing through. I switched to Hard in the first main dungeon and haven't looked back. So don't let the reviews talking about how hard the game is dissuade you from actually giving Hard a chance!
Don't put points into luck, bath or go to the rest room on the runner for free luck points and max out strength or mag or agi for your favorite archive type
These are kinda of ok to bad tips. Like use the auto heal because mage archetype and killing enemies in the overworld refills mp. So mp shouldn’t be a problem in dungeons.
This game is really good both story, animation scenes and fun dungeons and creative monsters. But am I the only one seeing that Strohl is just a reskin of Ryuji from Persona 5, it's even the same animations.
I've been wondering... have anyone figured where to farm/hunt stat boost incense yet? I finished the game and restarted on regicide however the time needed to reach the bath option is quite long considering how it goes and also, enemies on SMT and even Persona had a drop chance to get those from time to time. I'd expect their drop be very rare or even requiring the merchant 2nd tier to bring both item drop passives while hunting. I can confirm one possible drop though at early game... we can farm Mag boost incence from the gargoyles at the capital(there are many on it but drop is kinda very low, i wish we had acess to all our arch and 4 skill slots from start... would run the 2 item drop boost alongside Ninja class from the start while beating everything trying to find/meet what drops what e.e.
I wanted to get this but I hate the oppressive calendar system from persona. Can anyone confirm how it works here? Does doing tasks force you to proceed thru the story ? I hate that
I disagree with a lot of this list. You get the ability to use mage and restore mp, you have an auto-heal on the up directional pad that uses MP to heal, it’s not impossible to get that mp back. You should buy a bunch of those cheap 50 heals for out of combat healing at times but the auto-heal is great when you can get MP back from mobs but every dungeon is slightly different in how easy that is. Auto-heal later, item heal(if you can spend on the cheap heals, early in a dungeon. But don’t sleep on this when you can easily get the MP back in some dungeons. The merchant class can get you a lot of money and make buying heals easy, later you can do “steal MP” stuff with a certain class. I like the game but the most efficient way to play is to be really grindy because you can progress a lot of stuff for the coming week if you find a place to farm xp, farm money, farm etc. Oh, if an enemy drops a blessed water you can steal a blessed water from them. Save up the “purifications” at the church for stuff you need but these steals are great to help you get more”purifications” on good gear that will change the game. A few good steals are amazing.
I would be careful with choosing relations over the royal virtues. Although I cant say for sure for this game, past Persona Games always had certain relations and rewards at specific times locked behind having certain virtues leveled to a high level. For example certain exams require a high wisdom, a bond Level with a character require a certain virtues to be at Level 4 or 5 and the classic certain dialogue choices only possible with a high enough virtue.
Tip num 8 is not that good.. better to just continue 1 mastered archetype more. Then if there is a need switch and use that 1k aexp u get from levelling mastered archetypes
Basically everything a Persona player already knows :D I haven't played it yet, but just by looking at this klip I can say it's a Persona game in a different setting. I need to start this after I finish my 3rd playthrough of Royal :)
Half of your "Things i wish i knew" are somewhat helpful to know but missing some very vital info or critical thinking. One of the things is blatantly wrong. And the rest is stuff the game tells you. 4/10 balls
Yes investing a few points into agility does not matter. hell we get characters that fully specialize in agility later and I don't see much of a difference in dodging. if you can't rely on it, its useless in a strategy game, I guess you can spam retrys until it works...
@@scrambledflan5851stats are probably the weakest they’ve been in a while. Genuinely END has less worth than a point of Armor for damage calcs and remember you can only have up to 99 END while midgame Armor already well surpasses 100 points. Also Weapon Atk tends to matter more than actual Character Stats as they now effect Skills damage outputs (though probably still the best things to invest in). Though unlike something like P3R where you’re capped at 50% chance to Dodge Metaphor actually sets the limit to 99% so Dodge strategies are viable.
Great game, bht am i the only one annoyed by the date/weather and health icon with all the shortcuts when in exploration mode? Its all distracting as hell, wish we could turn the whole right middle to bottom right of the screen's hud off when not in dungeons.
Tip one put game on easy mode. You’re welcome. I really do not like this style of turn base combat. I much prefer BG3. The way it allows you to use the environment and to get your characters into position is so much more fun and interesting.
I agree, story mode is more rewarding too. I'm thankful cause normal I spent so much on potions went though them all on bs critical hits and wiping my party. If no story mode or easy, this game would be bit too unforgiving for my patience!
I guess that is just your opinion because in my experience it has been worthy of its acclaim and I am aware of many shitty games. I also really believe you are baiting because I saw how much of an ass you are with your other responses. If you’re going to troll try harder douchebag. worth noting that staggering an enemy in the overworld with the mage archetype up will give you an additional 1 mp

Leaving a dungeon and coming back is a terrible idea....get yourself a mage and get mp restoration is the way to go
You can also brute force it with brawlers so you pay with health you can restore with items that cost gold or just use first aid as it's very cheap

For early MP management just farm HP restore items and use attacks from Brawler.
Later on MP brcomes significantly easier to handle.
