Do you have any useful tips to new players not mentioned in this video? P.S. I got a little mixed up with the tips numbers in the video due to an error in my notes. Sorry about that.
As an addendum to tip #6, always use steal on mimics to get more blessed water, and if you stun them you can run away and reset the fight and farm them infinitely.
Tips 6 extra save before appraising, because you get random loot. Save if you like and rinse and repeat. Exemple junk that worth 50 were iron, but by rerolling you can get silver equipment
Two tips for archetypes mastery 1) Maxing a class gives your character a permanent stat increase depending on which class reached rank 20 2) even when reach rank 20, you can still gain exp with that mastered class. Reach 1000 exp to get Hero Leaf item that can be invested in a different class.
To add to this, there are two bonus Archetype exp items you get in the 3rd main hub. (One from vendor on Wednesday, and other is from completing bronze arena). Combine that with the Merchant and you will have a ton of money and free exp items.
Every single time you see the crystals that respawn enemies I sit there and farm these things on maxed archetypes lol get a ton of items and money with merchant on team too.
Of being ambushed is an issue, go in the menu and put everyone in the back row. You can change row out of combat. Now you’ll take much less damage when the enemy goes first. Just don’t forget to move people forward when you want to attack!
On tip 4, I saw you entering a rest space and then going to Akademia. You don't have to go to Akademia, the moment you see a loading screen pop up like the character charging into the unknown darkness or the vitruvian man loading screen, the enemies will respawn.
My tip is that Refantazio has new game plus. So you don't have to try to min max and 100% everything in a single run if it means playing the game in a way that isn't fun for you.
for virtues, for example reading a book. you will gain more virtue by answering correctly but for followers, it doesn't help leveling the relationship faster
@afizsouji are you 100% positive? Because I've heard from a couple of different sources that you're awarded a flat bonus every time you read, then another flat bonus once you finish the book. There seems to be a lot of conflicting info ATM.
@@chrisg1556 I am not sure about other virtues but like books, you will get a music note if you answer correctly and the opposite if answer wrong. and it does effect whether you get 3 points or 4 points (or more on certain books). Certain virtues with your followers also does the same like playing chess with hulkenberg.
Character interactions for ranking up their bond is only mag and doesnt affect the system. Virtues thou if you pick wrong you get less points. So the tip in the video is correct.
good video, but for your first playthrough: do not use a guide or watch spoilers you are gonna ruin 50% of the game for you; i know nowadays it is normal to guidethrough, but you are shooting your own foot...trust me do it on a 2nd playthrough
Using a guide for the "right" conversation choices is pointless anyway. You're awarded with extra mag only. It doesn't actually level you up faster. It's not like Persona. Those little triangle notes when giving an answer represent the extra mag you get.
@Bigrunis yeah if you're gonna use a guide for a game like this you have to look for spoiler free. There are plenty of options out there that only say stuff like "speak to x and pick up 'insert quest name', go to x, clear the area and complete quest." The story days are marked like day xx: story events.
For tip 3, you don't even need to go into Akademia to reset mobs. You just need to leave the area. So just go into a room with a load screen and come back. Just entering the Magla Holllow is more than likely ideal since it's probably closer to whatever mob you think is best to farm and it counts as a different area.
Mana runs are time consuming but you end with a lot of resources and a few sneaky levels from doing it. If you care about doing a main mission dungeon in 1 day it's basically mandatory early on. Edit: Tip 2 Changing between Frontline and Backline is completely free in combat. This means if you're going to taunt on the knight. Remember to put them in the back row first. Seems obvious, I played half of the first mission dungeon before realising. Even if any character is buffing, there is no reason to be in the front row doing it. If you get a weakness (bonus action) and the knight gets two turns. You can taunt, backrow and then guard. Making the Knight an actual tank. There's an accessory from the shop only open at night. I highly recommend getting the one that makes guard only cost half an action. It essentially makes guard give a bonus action on the knight and curves the cons to being defensive.
Regarding Tip #3: If you find one of the Magla crystals that spawn enemies, they will continuously spawn as long as the crystal isn't defeated, giving you roughly 500+ gold per kill with the merchant equipped. Alternatively, if you go to a dungeon for say, one of the hunts or sidequests, if you kill everything in the area, zone then zone back in, all the monsters will respawn. Makes it easy to grind out low level archetypes or make a lot of money.
Good tips my guy. I subbed. One thing is you can, at least in the first Cathedral dungeon early on, keep those red crystals up and don't destroy them. They spawn Skeletons OVER AND OVER so you can just grind MP regen with the Mage and it one taps them on the overworld.
Idlesday quickly became my go to thing to take advantage of - shopping spree! That and the Magic Points trade boost in worse weather. I got a 1 to 4 trade on my points and got like 60k to go shopping in an instant! I didn't know anything about Brigitta's layered up shopping bonuses, though! The way things played out for how each day got spent I haven't been able to get back to her just yet. I'm hoping to do that soon now. Appreciate the tips!
About the attack items. Ones thing i wish I'd known is that even if the enemy resists the element, it still takes 100dmg. I know i would have used them more if i didn't see "resist" and assume that I'll do little to no damage
Stupid question, but with armor, should I prioritize the defense or the evasion it gives me? Cuz I got some gear that gimme abt +20 for a few characters, but it drops the evo from 4 to 0, so which is better? Raw defense or the evo stat?
Defense on most characters, evade on agility focused character (making them dodge tanks). Heismay has crazy base agility and growth in agility. So evade and items that give him even more agility are useful. I'm maybe 1/3 or halfway through the game and he dodges maybe 1 out of 3 attacks
Play through the game blind the first time, and usually Atlus games have new game+ options, that's generally when I reference a guide for certain things.
Tips: retry battle to get better rng, for example you want to steal a rare item from an enemy, just steal then retry if you didn't get the item you want.
TagThe Legend, can you do video or spreadsheet showing how you progressed your characters? You recommend characters go towards strength, but we do know when to toward warrior from Mage or vice versa.

You do have to go back to Akademia if there is no save room, like in the Belega Corridor. There is just a save point before the boss room, which won't reset the enemies unless you go visit More.
You can also tell the cat to let you leave the dungeon and then it puts you right outside the entrance and you can just run back in and keep farming. @@chisaten

tip 15 is way true dude. just like the GS review said, you don't need to push youself to choose some "Max,ideal" chocies to get the more "ideal" realty. Just do youself. It doesn't have the date system
Ye, but if you were wanting to see say, an archetype thats 2 advancements away, you still have to unlock 1 advancement. In this case, save scum is the route to go.
When you reach Bond 5 with your party members, the penalty for "sitting on the bench" is removed, so don't fuss about it too much. Don't worry about min-maxing everything, because your Virtues is one of those things that carry over to NG+. So play to have fun, and on the 2nd run you will naturally save a ton of time by having things already unlocked/ready to unlock. Play as a Mage/Wizard, even at maxed ranks. You can AoE clear weak enemies on the overworld extremely fast, and the Archetype EXP is not wasted because it gets converted into a leaf to level whatever you want. In the 3rd city (the port), one of the merchants in the market will sell you an Archetypal ring for 40k on Watersday. While it does not work while farming overworld enemies, in Squad battles it massively buffs A-EXP gained (some say up to 50%) for the entire party.
So far I’ve only been in the first major dungeon to need to farm mana back to keep progressing but there I didn’t need to go to akademia. Just had to go into a safe room and come out. Not sure if this changes the further into the game you get but it’s at least worth testing yourself as it’s already somewhat tedious farming back mana so saving a trip to akademia if you can avoid it is worth it to your time.
New to this type of game. I’m running out of MPin the Necromancer quest. Can I leave, get more MP and then go back? Thanks. Edit. Deleted the game. Overly complicated and brain numbingly repetitive.
😂im stuck in that quest myself im almoat at the top tho but stuck..i guess in the mid boss idk..but im getting my ass kicked...but get you some magical bread you restores your mp to your whole team for 60 secs while walking in a dungeon.
The buffs are not like SMT or Persona. Unlike in SMT they are not permanent and unlike in Persona they stack. So remember to stack them up then keep them refreshed so they don’t drop off.
Love this game but I think giving different amount for different answers for the virtues is not an ideal design especially when you don't know what the game wants you to choose. If they want to do that they should give you a tangible challenge to overcome for the extra reward. It's a shame they cared that over from Persona when they improved on so many other areas.
I got a new sword for beating a dragon early on and it looks totally different. Are there just not a lot of variations or something? I’m still very early in the game.

Enemies respawn when you visit Akademia
Tip 16, play to enjoy, don’t play to max everything - definitely the best tip especially with this masterpiece.
No
Nah
Or let people enjoy it however they want and mind our business 😂

New to this type of game. I’m running out of MPin the Necromancer quest. Can I leave, get more MP and then go back? Thanks. Edit. Deleted the game. Overly complicated and brain numbingly repetitive.
😂im stuck in that quest myself im almoat at the top tho but stuck..i guess in the mid boss idk..but im getting my ass kicked...but get you some magical bread you restores your mp to your whole team for 60 secs while walking in a dungeon.
Yes you can but time passes so you lose a day where you have to come back again
Lol first Atlas game?
Ohhh this should help me build right team
Or you can just find the Archetypes online instead of your first tip which is a huge waste of time.
You don't have to go to Akademia to reset mobs. Just entering and exiting the room works
Please name the chapters better. Tip 1, Tip 2 doesn't do anything for the viewer.
these are not actual tips.. this is just playing the game naturally
with basic intelligence
The buffs are not like SMT or Persona. Unlike in SMT they are not permanent and unlike in Persona they stack. So remember to stack them up then keep them refreshed so they don’t drop off.
Lmao
Use a guide!
But also don’t use a guide just enjoy it?
Which one is it man
Love this game but I think giving different amount for different answers for the virtues is not an ideal design especially when you don't know what the game wants you to choose. If they want to do that they should give you a tangible challenge to overcome for the extra reward. It's a shame they cared that over from Persona when they improved on so many other areas.
The only thing I don't like, no weapon skins or armor.. I don't feel excited farming if I'm gonna have my plain sword to show for it.
I got a new sword for beating a dragon early on and it looks totally different. Are there just not a lot of variations or something? I’m still very early in the game.
@@originaldatagate2weapons have unique looks but only in the dungeons, the character keep their original weapons outside of dungeons
bro i think you need a haircut
Bugs me so much, it's pronounced re-fan-TAZ-ee-oh, not re-fan-TAH-zee-oh
Great video though brother
The only helpful tip is to follow a guide, this is a persona game when it comes to time management
