Great video.... Whoever engineered this for a brake calliper needs a slap. Talk about over complicated. Maybe someone could enlighten me, are they more efficient than a much simpler engineered piston?
Thank you for this excellent video! It helped me a lot. I have only one comment. The left and rigth brakes have to be identical, so the orientation of the handbrake lever in this mechanism is important (when I put it back). Unfortunately I have removed my lever without marking the original orientation... It was a mistake. But watching another videos I invented a method: I will measure the necessary moment of the other brake lever to start moving it and I will apply such orientation on the brake under assembling which results in same initial moment. I hope this will work and the official check of the rear brakes will show similar results. I appreciate any comments. (See this also: ruclips.net/video/pGHDytbqAic/видео.html )
Good video, but isn't the grease for the caliper sliding pins? 😆 I use a bit of braking fluid instead of grease for all those rubber parts
Is the same procedure for a Peugeot 508, 2.0 hdi, 2011 with an electronic parking brake?
Whats the torque on that bolt at 15:55?

Because it serves as the handbrake as well.
