This was great. More night drives please!
I love the direction Lexus/Toyota is heading with this design language.
All they need to do is finally apply it to the IS and RC cars.
Personally hate it, think they almost perfected their interior design on the LS500/ES 2019 and up generations. If they just added some ambient lighting and moved the screen forward with a digital Gauge cluster I think it'd be perfect
Well in some ways they went back with plastic looking interior. Small Induction engines that won’t last. And extreme price tags. Way too many models.
Other than the 99% of main things. Sure I agree with you 😂
Am I seeing less than 15mpg? Yikes and it requires premium fuel 😮
Toyota should bring back the V8 engines and get away from the turbo engines!
I watched this with headphones on and it sounded awesome.
Loved the chill vibe of the night drive and music. Definitely a fan!
Subtly reminding me I need to go to church at the beginning of the video!
I purchased a new 23 GX460 💙 the V8! Toyotas NA engines will be sadly missed.
I love this GX, they did a great job on it. Also I love the new sound test music, its very relaxing.
Loved the night drive video
Good video, keep the good work🤙🏾
Such a relaxing drive in such a beautiful SUV, i love these night time drives! Definitely do some more in the future!
Gonna miss the V8 🫡
Love that LC120 series, same color as your fancy GX550, that's awesome, I hope the LC250 has a V6/ V8 NA engine, even if it is less powerful.
17:21 These V6 Twin Turbo engines are much quicker in acceleration than the V8’s Toyota uses worldwide. They might not sound as robust with down pipes than V8’s but then someone has to modify the exhaust note on them. The Land Cruiser 300 series Petrol has the same engine. I watched a video from Saudi Arabia where they tested both LC 200 and LC 300 in the desert strip, and the LC 300 literally walked over the V8.
There is a lot of wind noise coming in this time
What color is the ambient lighting? Also I noticed the door window switches aren't that bright. Was it just turned down?
aw, I wanted to see what the ambient lighting looks like on the higher trims! great video though
You’re not missing anything, lol.
@@jr1885 I’ve seen a clip of it and it looks nice. Not anything like my S Class, but more than my Range Rover
@@seans9125 which RR do you have? My 2018 was much better than the GX. Lexus is the worst I’ve seen in any luxury SUV.
@@jr1885 A 16 Full Size RR Supercharged.
@@seans9125 oh, gotcha. Makes sense now. 2018 was the refresh which added different ambient lighting.
So I notices when you started it after the fuel stop I noticed that the lights went down or lowered and then back up. What is that about?????? Also that gauge to the right of your speed, is that the turbo pressure??
The rattles driving me nuts!
Is the ride comfortable ? More than gx460?
Do the headlights turn with the steering wheel
Honestly a big luxury Lexus SUV with a manual transmission sounds sweet for a daily
Interior would definitely feel more lux with ambient lighting
The Premium + has it.
The second row doors don’t open wide enough
GooD Day, Would you Please give us a detailed review of Mercedes CLE 450 if possible? ThanQ & KeeP Up
9:15 I prefer the previous 150 generation rear lights tbh. But then the 250 series looks a bit narrower and shorter than the 150 series. The 150 series is huge compared with the previous 120 series parked next to the 250 generation.
No ambient lighting - need to set the vibes at nite
Toyota has totally changed the 250 series. Some like it, some don’t. I bought the 150 series LC Prado 2.7 litre inline 4 cylinder a week back, and it’s quite a large body considering its engine size. Truthfully, I liked my previous 120 Series Prado size. Yes, both are underpowered in that engine configuration, but the 150 series is huge compared to my older 120 series, which I somewhat don’t like. It’s like a yacht on wheels. I prefer smaller vehicles on highways and obviously off-roading.
20:50 idk how many times ive said it at this point sorry toph but I MISS SEEING THIS CITY SO MUCH 😭😭
What city?
make more gs400 videos
Can you turn off the panel completely? Driving long trip at night staring at that huge lcd panel will get eye strain
Yes you can
POV you’ve just taken a Valium and boarded Lexus airways
The V6 sounds better than the V8.
Said no one ever lol
Sounds like a lot of cabin noise. Hope that’s not the real life case. Mine comes in July
Whatever audio settings you are using just makes the gx sound like a noisy mess.
Where is an ambient light?
in a tacky Mercedes somewhere
No ambient lighting?
I don't think the premium grade has it
The Premium + does.
Really sad to lose the v8 but I’m so happy that big boxy girthy suvs are coming back 😃
That 4.6L V8 in the old GX was asthmatic and underpowered, this new Twin Turbo 3.4L V6 has 50 more HP and 150 more lbft of torque than the old V8, the GX550 is pretty quick now since it has a healthy amount of power.
@@ZoomZoom356 oh yea no I agree, the 4.6 was outdated and definitely needed an upgrade. Still sad to see a v8 go, but at least it got replaced by a v6 and not a 4
@@ZoomZoom356 it was. And would last a lot longer than these small complex induction motors. I’ll bet you a new LX these are down in quality fit and finish and longevity.
Most the people who bought a Lexus aren’t ripping through town. They were old ladies who bought a new car right at 10 years and went and got the oil changes twice a year. Ok that fine the demographics changed. But don’t say they went forced air because of power. They went because of emissions as most every consumer wants their car to last longer then more HP off the line at the green light. People are becoming more poor and if they wanted a “fast car” they’d have bought a corvette
lexus killed it with the GX, hats off to them. hopefully dealers dont play their shenanigans but thats unlikely.
14mpg on required premium oh boy thats bad.
Those red dots staring at me would drive me nuts at night
Pretty sure those only show up on camera - you wouldn’t actually see them.
Thats infrared light like you’d get on your TV remote. It’s invisible to the human eye but not your camera.
Correct. They’re infrared and only show up on cameras. I’ve seen that on airplanes with seatback screens as well
$64K 🤣🤣🤣. All the local Lexus dealers in Arizona have some crazy markups! Some $90.k I could buy one but not paying $20.K I’m markup.
Greedy bastards!
Am I the only one who heard a lot of wind noise while he was playing song I have G X four sixteen and I don't hear any wind noise
The vehicle looks like 5 years old already.
interior yes.
I thought it was just me. I want to like it so bad but it’s just so underwhelming for the price.
22:30 Brand new Lexus rattling on city streets shows how the infrastructure has deteriorated massively in the US.
I’ll wait for the next gen. Don’t like this vehicle at all
Good plan, see you in 20 years. 😢😂
Check out the 2024 LX. But bring a bigger checkbook.
Im joking.. I’ll never buy this twin turbo crap. Give me a V8 or a diesel.
Doesn’t look very luxury to me, compared to the Mercedes and BMW. They failed on the interior design..
It’s a utility vehicle not a gaudy neon led light show on the mercedes
@@jonathanyin739 looks like a grandpas car.
Go see it in person. Definitely not Grandpa's car.
The car luxury plus package is amazing looks great very very much Range Rover like but Lexus would have thousands of more customers if they were to just improve their cluster being more modern and ambient lighting. There are still a little behind should be much more than that.
There is ambient lighting available. Premium + and up.
