I have a 2016 Sonata hybrid like this.
Thankfully the newer ones have GDI/Port injection.
Even using this spray, I have the BG service done every 12-18 months. I iave before/after BG photos that went from carbon covered to where i could see the piston head markings from the factory. 👍
172,000 miles so far, no issues. Even have the factory brake pads. !
The method I do this now is I installed an oil catch can years ago (as these people should) and I spray this or Seafoam in the hose going into the intake. I
had mechanics tell me it worked better into the intake than the throttle body. 👍 It gets the back of the valves better-in theory.

Put an oil catch can if you haven’t yet. It’ll save a lot of the build up. Depending on your miles a second treatment won’t hurt in like 3 weeks. I just did my second treatment and A HUGE IMPROVEMENT from the first treatment. And if yours is a 13 and if the plugs havnt been changed change plugs with motorcraft plugs and if you got higher miles go ahead and swap all coils with motorcraft coils. Change the plugs every 60k. A guy I know changes his once a year. His truck runs like NEW and it’s a 2011 with 195,000 miles

I prefer NGK irridiums over motorcraft irridiums, that's what I run in my 2011 and only thing I'll run in boosted vehicles, but if you are going to change plugs in a boosted vehicle, they need irridiums, plain copper just won't cut it, mine has 107,000 miles, getting ready to clean intake valves soon myself

Have you cleaned the 3 map sensors yet? I cleaned them but haven't pulled the trigger on this project yet. I also swapped out my pcv last week, super fast and easy preventive maintenance.

Yes I did clean all 3 of them did you upgrade to the brown pcv?

@rossesteban7859 Yes, I put in the brown one in. Back in june, i also installed all new moog upper and lower control arms, moog springs and sway links/bushings, Dorman lug nuts, and iwe upgrade and Bilsten 5100's. Alaska is rough on rigs, so I went all out. It's not a lot of fun crawling under your rig when it's -25° f, so if you're at it, it's best to do it once and get it done.

I cleaned all mine, but the one on the intake has a couple black spots on it that wouldn't spray off, so I think I'll have to replace that one, still runs a little better than before, hoping to get around to doing this intake cleaning to my 2011 this weekend, bought it a month ago and just doing all the maintenance stuff first, already ran a can of cataclean thru it to clean the cats to prepare for doing this and potentially gunking them up again lol, tho it's only got 107,000 miles on it, so not crazy high mileage, but did still have the original plugs, 18 service records on file and no plugs done 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

A couple comments: First, I wish you got right to the point as you promised. Second, you didn't spray the CRC past all the sensors. Look at the rear of the intake manifold near the firewall. There's another sensor and! I've had it thrown a code when using CRC - not every time, though.. I cleared it and it didn't come back. Lastly, without seeing before and after results, this video is useless.
