Thanks,Andy, the best part of building an R/C Tamiya kit is the assembly, like Meccano model. I have 2 of the original Tamiya 1 / 16 tanks,a Sherman 105mm M4A3s and the Leopard 2 from 30 or so years ago. They have the dual clutch set transmissions. It's very robust. Both tanks need a set of tyres. I also have the current 1/16 Jadgpanther R/C model . I really like building these large scale Tamiya tanks and buggies. Thanks also Andy, I placed an order for the Feist Panther book. Looks great.
I recently put together an older model of this tank with straight motor, no rc and the tracks weren't pre assembled. It was my first assembly and was a nightmare since it had missing screws and instructions, thanks to a Tamiya employee I could find a pdf of a newer model which I believe is this one but isn't 100% accurate, but pretty close tho. Beautiful tank
Hi Andy I would like to say thank you for years of quality content you’ve also made me more confident in moving from airfix kits to tamiya and even an academy warrior ifv (which looks brilliant next to my challger 2) overall cheers mate
I'm currently building the 1/35 version, and am also a little frustrated with the turret seams - it's quite hard plastic and difficult to sand. The turret build process is exactly the same as on the 1/25 version. Yet every other Tamiya tank kit has a one-piece turret.
Wow, when did they release that? I built the old one back in the early 70's. One of the first "Full Interior" kits on the market following the Tiger 1. I still have them both sitting on a shelf somewhere. Thanks...
I just bought this kit today , $295.00 Aus , from my local store , I have photos of my dads mk 3 in Korea , hopefully I can make this model to look the same.
Chasing Cats with an R/C Tank is so much fun, especially when it has engine sounds. Don't think I'm cruel to animals, but when I tried out my KV-1 R/C Tank a couple of years ago I just could not resist
I must admit I have done the same thing with remotes before. My wife bought one of those robot sweepers it does the work of chasing the cats for me now. :-)
Run that baby through some puddles - lol Very nice update by Tamiya, looks good, very cool R/C (radio a bit crappy and not sure about that velcro for turret though). Going to have some fun with that!
Best part of your build videos is watch you paint and see how it progresses. So it's been disappointing that you've been skipping these part on you recent videos lately. Please bring this back.
Andy does this model have the same as the Tamiya mk4 male (30057) where it requires "synthetic rubber cement" for certain parts? If so what the heck is it and where can you get it?
The only tank vs tank combat by a Centurion tank in Korea was against a ((captured) Cromwell tank. The North korean T34 tanks were already knocked out of the war by the Americans by the time the British arrived.

Only The British used them in Korea, the australians used them in Vietnam. Albeid a differend version then the one in this kit.
As far as I have been able to ascertain, the US Army has never used the Centurion Tank. Australia deployed them in Vietnam, so maybe the star was placed on them since they may have been under the organizational command of the US Forces. One clue to this assumption is the red/yellow "div patch" on the right front of the glacis plate, which indicates the armored branch of British, Australian and Canadian forces. The triangular symbol on the left front storage bin indicates the tank is part of "A" Squadron of whatever unit. "B" Sqn would have been a square, "C" Sqn was a circle, and I believe HQ Sqn was a diamond symbol which are all standard with the British, Australians, and Canadians. So I question as well why a US Star was used on this model.
Centurions were used by British forces during the Korea conflict, where all Allied vehicles displayed a white star for identification purposes. Google "Centurions Korea" for photo examples.
HII Andy I hope you will read this! So which do you prefer m1a2 sep tusk ii academy or m1a2 sep tusk ii tamiya?? Are they good for beginners? :D Thank youuu
When will Tamiya upgrade their 50 years old kit to a IDF Kal Shot? This one is a Korean war British army that I have seen it in Tamiya catalogs in 1970s! They seems very conservative to introduce new kits!
An RC kit and we see 3 seconds of it in operation? Seriously disappointing. If I was to buy this kit it would be for the RC operation and we saw none of that.....
The white star was used in the Korean War as an Allied symbol to show that it wasn't an enemy and come under friendly fire being an unfamiliar vehicle. I think it was just a carry over from D-Day in WW2 when some British and Canadian tanks and vehicles also had white stars painted on them to stop friendly fire.
I kinda miss the old videos. The recent ones have only been "easy and straight forward" so we don't see any acctual time-lapse building in the video. That's what made this channel unique but now it's just as any other RUclips channel. Sorry but I think I will disslike the video, not because that the tank was bad i just think it as a punishment for not making this channel unique.. Sorry But I will still subscribe
That reciever is HUGE. Why? Too much "I'm going to go ahead..." step done. We see basically nothing, a return to the 'old' style please. "Look at the top", splatters an "Andy's hobby headquarters" logo centre screen, on top of what we are supposed to be looking at . Why? Sorry Andy one 'experiment' that didn't work. Downvoted. :O(

You DO make me smile with you Videos.... 'Chase the dog or cat'... You get me thinking !Well done, Young Son!
I remember seeing this Centurion in your shop on my last visit.
Kinda cool to then watch the build.
Awesome job!
Ah! This is great news! I see a neat Birthday present for myself this year. ;o) Thanks for the walk through, Doc!

Finally we see the making of this beauty. great work!

@@stevenbreach2561 ,1RTR .
Great vid Andy. Congratulations on 80k subscribers 👍🏻
It would be cool if Tamiya started doing 1/25 RC . It'd be a nice in between.
I hope you stock a small selection of batteries now?
Great job Andy as always 👍👍
I have completed building it. Waiting to spray it
DO YOU KNOW ANY "SPRAY CAN" THAT has Black, matted coat instead of using airbrush? For shadowing like you have done?

Please make a video😂that seems like a awesome battle
At 11:05 "out of Nato black..." Wow you would have thought you'd ever run out of that lol.
I fly RC scale aircraft in competition, and because of you, I use Nato black on them as well! lol
Great Tank - The British Panther !!!
Would have been nice to see the build of the gear boxes and the suspension.
I was hoping to to see a sort of accelerated timelapse of some of the building of the kit.
Not here, we enjoy our time with Andy :)
Nice model. Thank you for the video.
Run that baby through some puddles - lol
Very nice update by Tamiya, looks good, very cool R/C (radio a bit crappy and not sure about that velcro for turret though). Going to have some fun with that!
British iron feels great
Nice video, but why you did not make some test drive?
Thanks any I'm doing my one now !been waiting for this haha
Sure would like to get a hold of a 1/25 Panther.
Are the controls digital proportional?
Love rc! I Think 1/14 woulda been popular
Does this unit make sound?
Does the turret working well? Rotation I mean.genius design.
How do you replace the batteries?
Best part of your build videos is watch you paint and see how it progresses. So it's been disappointing that you've been skipping these part on you recent videos lately. Please bring this back.
another grate video by andy
Looks nice
Wish we would have seen the turret rotate
Fantastic job lad the queen would be proud 😂
Can you make an 1/25 scale car? For size comparison to the Centurion
Hi Andy, is this on a par quality-wise with/essentially the same kit as the 1/25 version with the interior that doesn’t seem to be available any more?
Andy does this model have the same as the Tamiya mk4 male (30057) where it requires "synthetic rubber cement" for certain parts? If so what the heck is it and where can you get it?
CA glue superglue
Anybody else trip out when they saw a third hand at 6:15?
Me!! I was like Ghost!!!!!
he sometimes has his friends at the shop, they build together
@@ethanrowland3671 thats good
I brought one with interior in 93 but it is still sitting in my basement half finished.
Hey Andy! Is there a difference between Tamiya’s extra thin cement and Tamiya’s regular plastic cement?
I like the extra thin dries faster
Thanks!
It also melts plastic less and is thinner
really?
:D
Why on the box art is there a T-34?? We never fought them??
Korean war Maybe
The British and Australians used them in Korea :D

Hey Andy, someone stole your phone at 6:19! ;)
Gervis Prantl are you sure it was Andy's phone?
6:16
The drive motor is small, compared to the old model cable remote control Centurion Tank
Why you don't show it in action? It's very interesting...
Great video! Isn't the Centurion a British tank? If so, why does it have a U.S. white star?
