We all saw the footage. Dave cut the first corner by about a bunch. Though he did keep good speed into the corner and throughout on both ends. It would take sometime to not over think that the machine is gonna wad up or flip on a higher speed turn. Still very cool.
I have a $1,000 saying I can do that lap faster than Dave!!
I said same when the muscle went, holly hell he cut that corner short, cheat much! Then Dave went and I realized he definitely noticed also because instead of calling him out he decided to cut the corners even shorter! 😂
@@charleybetts1053to do it any faster than dave you would have to start your turn as soon as it got on plane. Basically a small little circle.

On the trailer, this thing looks like it's going to flip over every time it turns. But it doesn't turn over on the water, which is impressive.
A pointless race, some go along the shore, others turn 1/4 mile away from it.
It's because of the insane amount of suction the pumps create from both pumps that keep it planted. It's also not just two jetskis mounted on an SXS it has lots of engineering put into this beast. You need to watch the build video. It leans like a mono hull which also keeps it from flipping in the water. I want to build a Radio Control version because it's all I can afford. lol

That's pretty awesome. When I saw it in person, I really didn't look at it that closely. I just thought it was a razr mounted on top of two jet skis. pretty cool to see it's actually properly engineered.

This would be an excellent commuter vehicle for those living and working in coastal cities which generally are situated at river mouths like london, sydney etc

0:54 "touching here". Yeah, I asked at the Apple Store, and the Vision Pro has cameras that are looking down. They see your fingers move. Mind you now, you have to calibrate the vision pro for your hands before this works.

I can’t help but think the same thing. It might be “hard” to tip but I bet a dummy like me could buy one and kill himself in it within 60 seconds. Life jackets won’t help you when you’re trapped inside that thing upside down and sinking

Given the speed its capable and height of the driver combined to lack of seat belts that you cant really put into boat since drowning aint fun, this will whip plash you into water hard, probably hard enough to knock you out and all it takes is wave and turning. Also after its flipped how the hell you can upright it when out to say sea. I use to think F1 racing boats were nuts, but this is even worse and not good kind of nuts. Then again since this costs closer to medium house, it will be just rich people and meth heads (with stolen one) killing them selfs.

Then again if you do get on the surface, you do have decent platform to stay on middle of the jet skis, unless in droop those are too close together and crush your legs when wave rapidly lifts the skis and going back down frame slows it down and you fall between. I get the creators annoyance of getting for 1solution 5 further problems, but this is uncharted territory and there is least double to consider to that of land or only water based vehicle.

Highly recommend a good kayak paddle in one of Florida's cold water springs. Wekiwa Springs and Weeki Wachee Springs are excellent! You can swim at the spring head. No gators. Too cold.

I first saw it and thought that lowering the center would make it more stable but seeing it in action says it's doesn't need to be lower and the higher position amplifies the motions which is big part of the fun of it.

Would you ever be interested in helping someone in a wheelchair to get an off road wheelchair to get back out into nature I was am outdoors person till I lost my legs now I can't afford to be able to get back out into the woods on or in something that is equipped for me my dream is to have a ripchair but that's impossible for me

That's not what cavitation is, D. I mean, it's sort of related. In true cavitation, the water is moving so quickly forward of the propellor or impellor that the water behind it actually boils and becomes a vapor. So it's not just air. It's water vapor.
Air is full of water vapor.

I would wait or the V2 of the prototype to come out when he finally figures out he should have put the jetski's at an angle to make the turning easier.
Pluss widening the base out would probably help with the top heaviness of it too.

That thing could on its place 🤔 It should be pretty easy to use those drive-by-wire systems to use buttor for spinning in place. Press button and streer it drops other bucket down and vice versa 😁 Sure it would need steer angle sensor if it doesnt already have it. Its kinda same principle system that dual engine boats has but jet version 🤔
