    Update: Pack distribution is slightly different than stated in the video. There is one non-foil Rare per pack (Action or Champion) and then one foil card, which might be Rare. The two Champions/Blessings guaranteed in each pack will never be Rare!

    Great video! Aspect of the Sea (a.k.a Eidolon of Mathlann: Aspect of the Sea) is one of my favorite models in the Age of Sigmar tabletop game. Highly recommend looking up a picture of the model, it is beautiful!
    Thanks for doing this video guys, trying to drum up interest at my local group of warhammer players.

    Lots of useful info here for a non-CCG player. I'm familiar with the LCG model (all into Arkham atm) and this is the first CCG I'm considering getting it, if I can get a friend interested (that's where the awesome app comes in). One question: I saw that the app has faction-specific boosters...are these a thing in the physical game too? Or do you know if they are planned? That would be really cool!

    • @teamcovenant
      @teamcovenant  5 лет назад

      Great to hear Mihnea! Glad it is useful to you. The faction-specific boosters are app-only, unfortunately, at least for now. But the physical boosters do contain 13 cards, as compared to the 5 cards in the digital boosters - so it kind of evens out!
      (Also, Arkham is great! Keep an eye on our channel for an announcement next month!)

      @@teamcovenant Thanks for replying! Yeah, now that you mention that about the number of cards, it makes sense. Looking forward to the Arkham announcement...hope you're having Matt over to exclusively announce the next campaign setting! :)

    Are the rares and & uncommons much better in play than common cards?
    I whould not mind playing some hoarder if we agreed that it is starter plus max X rares and keep raising that limit.

    • @teamcovenant
      @teamcovenant  5 лет назад +1

      They are not much better! Our current decks are primarily commons and uncommons. We have found that the rare cards are often the anchor for certain deck types, like Lotann or Pain-Induced Fury.

  • @tttyyy949
    @tttyyy949 5 лет назад +1

    Wrong unfortunately. There is only 1 rare (plus chance for foil rare). Two additional slots for champion/rblessing don't have any chance for being rare. You can watch booster box openings to observe that does not happen. So your guaranteed rare (and chance for foil rare) is the mix of champion/blessing/action cards.

      Interesting! That is not the information we received - will double check. Thanks!

    Sadly, the more I hear about this, the more it reminds me of Lightseekers. A lot of players in my local area were burned on Lightseekers, including me. I also think Play Fusion releases too many cards 270 for a single set is a lot. Hopefully Play Fusion can do better than they did with Lightseekers

    • @teamcovenant
      @teamcovenant  5 лет назад

      What exactly happened with Lightseekers, Landon? Would love to know, because we are obsessed with Champions right now.

    • @DefHalan
      @DefHalan 5 лет назад

      @@teamcovenant lots of eratas. LOTS OF ERATAS. They added whole new symbols in set 2, but didn't add the mechanics until set 3. OP support was hit and miss. Inconsistent powers between factions which lead to a meta with 1 faction being overpowered really quickly. A lot of focus was on all other Lightseekers products and less on the TCG, which is what I would consider the main part of the series. These were mostly things I heard from other players. I bought cards and came to the party too late. By the time I was jumping in, the local scene was gone. Now with Champions, it seems Lightseekers will be put on the back burner. I hope for the best for Play Fusion. I like the rotation mechanics, but I will be more hesitant to jump into future games of theirs. I really hope Champions does well, Play Fusion is doing some great things for TCGs on the technical side, I hope their games don't suffer because of the technological focus.
      The set size of Champions has me really concerned. I prefer smaller sets released more frequently. Pokemon hits good numbers for me, 150-180 cards every 3 months (and even some of those cards are smaller Pokemon that are only needed to get the bigger guys out) Transformers 121 card set has me excited. It feels as if I can actually collect the set and learn what all the cards do

    • @teamcovenant
      @teamcovenant  5 лет назад +1

      Great info, thanks! That makes sense. The good news is that we *think* they are going to be doing smaller sets moving forward. That was the vibe we got, at least. Smaller sets more often would be ideal for a game like Champions, since metas can move really fast when people are grinding digital games.

    How to buy? Go to your local lgs. Support them.

    • @teamcovenant
      @teamcovenant  5 лет назад

      Totally valid option for those that have them.

    • @schmidtbot
      @schmidtbot 5 лет назад

      So why make the video on how to buy?

    • @teamcovenant
      @teamcovenant  5 лет назад +3

      Because how you buy and collect a game is a much bigger conversation than where you purchase. Booster boxes? Singles? Saga Sets? Faction splitting? It seems you have not watched the video.
      Understand that this might be the first time someone is playing a collectible game, and there is a lot of confusion for new players when trying to figure out how to dive in. We get players in our store who have never played a card game OR a collectible game, and this video is designed to answer the questions that they have.

    Physical cards and virtual cards for one price. That's something I think Pokemon did first and something that all TCGs should do. Yeah Magic, you guys are digging yourselves a hole with this and many moves (cough cough Amazon.)

    • @teamcovenant
      @teamcovenant  5 лет назад +1

      Pokemon did the "get a physical pack, get a digital pack" - but as far as we know, PlayFusion is the first to do a full physical/digital 1 for 1 sync.
