    I just put the Sx on my 825 marine motor, it works better then my old billlet wheel S475. lower egts, and I picked up nearly 15hp at the back wheels with no fuel changes, now currently running 621hp at the wheels.

    Thank you this is exactly the information I was looking for! So with 5915 injectors, a marine cam, and a “550” tune that’s running +7 in a truck that is running long haul 80k lbs would the 11 blade house turbo be the recommended one?

    Year 2000 BK at 525hp+ with 171702 with high flow exhaust from end-to-end, dual mufflers, w/ turbo blanket. Run 1200-1400 rpm 98% of the time and pull grades at 1300 rpm. Spool is not to bad but opening up exhaust is a must. Summer IFTA 7.5mpg 78k back-and-forth over divide. 61mph.
    Goal is fuel economy; I run slow in the flats and pull long grades in the torque band. The slightly bigger turbo helps on both points at the expense of responsiveness but with exaust mods its not bad.
    On grades truck pulls down to 1150rpm & 20psi really helping to hold the gear and enable low rpm shifts. When hot on a grade with the blanket it spools back quick between shifts. EGTs 950F+ though if pulling in 1100 rpm range.
    Cold spooling below 1200 rpm takes forever. But I'm a slug and tunnel vision on high IFTA with lots of mountain miles for OTR.

      I'm new to the terminology you are using. I would appreciate if you could explain what does "high flow exhaust from end-to-end" / "opening up exhaust is a must" mean?
      I have 97 60 12.7 / 500 hp with a $280+ stock turbo from JMT that wouldn't go over 21psi
      before I did a custom reflash in Houston tuning shop that raised turbo to 31 psi .
      Sitting on a fence thinking what turbo to buy: same stock, k31 or 1702?
      Any information will be highly appreciated

      The real gain to the 171702 is no waste gate, it does lack a little of low end power, bought my turbo from highway and heavy parts, interstate MC bee $504 it was a good increase over factory, also put in 5195 injectors, large 8 hole, keeps the EGT down by spraying the piston with fuel, works great, but my fuel mileage is not great, but I run over the road and I push it hard pulling 80,000# all the time

    Yes sir, I have a 171702 from interstate MC bee, it was $504, it works great but can see where it lags on low end power, it's an 12.7 with factory 500hp and 1650tq tune with 5195 injectors which are 10%over for my tune, it runs hard if I'm about 1600rpm's

    14 liter 500 hp stock injectors 12.7 exhaust manifold. With k31 is lit 🔥. So cheap you can carry a spare turbo with ya. Enjoy.

      Yes I used a remote programmer literally took him 20 minutes to change my truck.

    How about a freightliner cascadia dd13? My current turbo is shot and I think I should upgrade it rather than replace it.

    I'm running the following
    Late model 6067PK60 DDEC4
    16.5:1 Monotherm piston
    23524912 camshaft
    5915 injectors
    15% over on the peddle
    25% on cruise
    Garbage truck yokes and driveline
    2500 torque clutch
    Full tilt manifold
    Bulldog stage 1 turbo
    Custom made Head studs
    650hp/2050 torque
    My question is simple, since I wasted 2200.00 on Pittsburgh Power's big turbo
    What do you recommend? I'm about to compound it, or buy a switchblade.

    I'm looking to do and engine build 12.7 1998 through 2000 so what do you recommend for a daily driver with a combination of great horsepower with efficiency.
    So what Cam, Injectors, Manifold, Turbo, Air to Air Charger setup. I stay under 80,000 lbs . I run from Texas to Pacific Northwest. So mountains. I currently have MX13 Paccar, 18 speed, T680 kenworth but I'm doing engine glider kit swap. Any advice is appreciated in advance Thanks

    somebody told me that a 1.15 ar is too short fro a 14L S60 515hp. but I'm having troubles with the 171702 with stock 515hp. ill definitely order a K31 ASAP

    Hi there! I have an old S60 11.1 wich is getting rebuild at the moment. Wich turbo would you recommend to upgrade. Looking for better performance since it was a bit slow uphill. Rears are 3.07 ( 14.47 ) and 10 speed transmission.

    Im running a 12.7L bk with 7014 injectors, full tilt manifold and a 550hp tune from Brent. I took a 1702 turbo and stuck a 1.15 exhaust housing on it. Was wondering what your opinion is on that setup.

    Isn't the S410SX journal bearing slightly longer than the std S400 ones? Correct me if I'm wrong😀

      close, but the journal bearings are indeed the same. they're just set in a wider spacing in the S410SX housing

    What’s the specs on the ISX 451ve and 561ve would the 561ve be a upgrade for the 2250 2350 to keep the VGT

      depends on which 451 and which 561 we are comparing, they both come in different sizes. If you are hell bent on upgrading the VGT on a single cam, I would recommend just having your 451 modified with larger wheels.

    Hey momentum worx I have a Detroit 60 series but with a turbo borgwarner 171701 but the response time is kinda of slow will it be better if I upgrade to a 171702??

      No. The 701 spools quicker than the 702 unless your engine has been tuned…

    Watt is the difference between your k31 and the Zeki k31 hybrid turbo you did not include that in the video

      The Zeki K31/GT43 hybrid is a GT42 frame turbo with a billet wheel (like the K31). This turbo was not included in the comparison because we can only cover so many turbos in one shot. This is a solid option and very much comparable with a K31 for the sake of comparison.

    Hi. My name is Ramiro. I have 2009 S60 14L Detroit. I did the cancellation on the EGR and all the staff. I got some Chinese torvo and is working but take to long to the engine pic up I wander if you can tell what turvo be best for my engine?

      I have an 07 classis with a egr 14 litter detroit, I deleted the egr and replaced the turbo with the borg warner K31 turbo, the part number is 171743, it is the best turbo to keep it stock, meaning you don't have to upgrade injectors ir anything, I did though replace the manifold with the ceramic coated high performance manifold.
      It works great with that set up.

    Got a ddec4 set at 500 with a full tilt manifold. The stock garret turbo let go. It doesn’t respond very good with a 171702 turbo. Would a 171701 work better

      Yea my dad 430 has a 171701 n it spools a lil quick 171702 spool slow on a 12.7

      @@truckingjamaicans5045 stuck with the 171702 turbo and had some custom tuning done. Now it’s as responsive as it was with the stock turbo. Runs cooler. Lots more power

    I have a 14l set at 60hp...I'm currently running the s400 but I am interested in getting the s410sx.. currently the s400 feels a bit laggy so I'm wondering if the s410sx would better support the tune

      S410SX will have even more lag then the S400 on that setup. You need to go down in size, not up. A K31 would likely be a great choice for you.

      @@benitomojarro3134tune it throw on a 702 inch.32 housing it is what I gave. Turbo spoils at like 1100-1300 and pulls from there. I’m interested to see how the K31 does. Or put a 68-80mm with a 1.15 housing

      I deleted the egr on my 14 litter, the guy wo did the delete told me the truck would not run as it should until I replaced the turbo with a 12.7 turbo.
      I am looking at a kit right now for a little over 2k with a borg warner K31 which is the one ge is recommending for a stock motor.

      always use a wastegated even with 171702 a wastegated turbo will last twice as long if its setup properly
