I slapped a 171702 on my 14L detroit with a 550hp and 1750tq tune. I didn't change or upgrade anything. Right out the gate I got incredible gas mileage and tons of power. Drove it for 4 years and just sold it. My friend drove it and loved the power, so he bought it for me.

Used in the fire service as well, my one company has a 12.7 DDEC 4 pre EGR nonVGT and the one ladder truck has the 14 liter per EGR. Both have high pressure high performance turbos on both. They still build the 60 over seas.

just built one from bits laying around the workshop,CAT C12 CHRA and compressor,detroit GT42 wastegated rear housing on an 11L series 60,the tune is custom and a bit more fuel would really make it go,but it runs pretty clean and it aint no slouch LOL

@momentumworkx I have a 2007 WS 4900ex 14L s60 18spd 3.91 rears. I have deleted and tuned with a billet 702. 575 hp tune. My boost comes on I think around 1300 ( been a bit since I drove the truck) I’m thinking of putting on either a K31, gt42 or gr47. I know they are all different, I’m running lower 48. Which turbo do you think would suit me best? I want a good power band not necessarily peak power

@@ItsMe-xf3dv and they are weak crap. Just answered which one is better, Garrett or BW. Those stub shaft Garretts with boreless compressor wheels are especially weak.
