1. As for ALL inclusive I would quit sailing on Carnival. I DO NOT drink alcohol, use Wi Fi, usually just eat in the MDR and buffet. I am capable of deciding where I will eat and what I may want to do.
2. I have a great idea. DO NOT use a straw! I never use straws and I think that Carnivals idea is great. My wife has the metal straw on the ship and at home.

We have been on 4 ships that there were Medical Emergencies. They were small and required deviations and may have saved a life. I am sorry to hear about the passenger on the Jubilee.
I don't want the all inclusive, I don't drink much and don't eat in the fancy restaurants. I don't want to pay more. I bring my straws. An emergency can not be helped. Don't deviate from plans unless officials inform you!

BTW I agree with you on all of these topics. People just kick back and enjoy the cruise. Let the ships crewwhandle the shiphow it needs to be handled.
We just bring our own plastics straws from home. No big deal

1. I agree with your thoughts. I just wish Carnival would offer a "premium" non-alcohol drink package (like they offer on Princess).
2. Personally, I don't like the straw argument, BUT it is where we are going. Part of what brought it on is the carelessness of people with trash, etc. I will NOT let that ruin my vacation plans. Another option - on Amazon, I looked this morning and you can buy bulk disposable straws for about less than $5. Buy your own! I assume they're not on the banned list. 😀

My opinion is that I hope these people are never on the same cruise I am!
I do not need an all inclusive price because I don't drink, I don't eat in all the pay restaurants and I don't need the internet on a cruise. I wouldn't mind pricing with the gratuities in the price. I don't even think about straws because I don't use straws. I worked on cruise ships there are a lot more medical emergencies than most passengers know. I have no problem with the ship changing direction and causing delays if it will help a passenger get medical help.
1. I already pay for amenities I don't need. I'm fine the way it is. I just upgrade to the level that suits me. As far as all-inclusive beach resorts. I've been to a couple of them, and they are a totally different experience. I'm glad I did them, but they aren't for me - not for a whole week anyway. I don't see them as competition for cruises in any way. 2. Most of the time, I don't even use straws. 3. You're right. That writer was something's behind.

I'm like you with the straws but it's not that big of a deal to me especially when it saves wildlife!you hit the nail on the head with the straw situation! I dont want to deal with washing a straw on my cruise and I don't like paper or edible straws either. So I just won't use a straw lol
I would love it if gratuities, port fees, and taxes were included in the advertised price. Then it's easy to see what's left in the budget for the others. We enjoy a drink package if the price is right. We have a problem with deciding if there is a night we all agree to skip the MDR for specialty dining.
All those micro plastics in the straw may not be good for him. I order very few drinks that I use a straw.

Why do people insist on cruising when it's clear that they don't enjoy it?
The number of people on a cruise there is bound to be a medical emergency at some point. I have been on several cruises that have had something go on. When I hear the announcement of a medical emergency, the first thing that comes to my mind is how sad I feel for the patient and the family. I mean, they are expecting a great vacation, and then boom, it's over. My inconveniences, if any, doesn't even cross my mind. There are a lot of selfish people out there. Just think people who write these comments are on a cruise with us. They need a lesson on humanity. Well, anyway, it's just a thought. Have a good day.
I DO NOT want to pay for services that I don't use. I prefer the lower cruise rates. If this person need all inclusive we'll there are those cruise lines offer that. I bet they don't sail those ships because it's too expensive.
Some people are so stupid
1.I guess they could OFFER all inclusive. Personally, I wouldn’t wanna pay the inevitable PRICE for it, only to find I don’t need everything I paid for.
2. I don’t like candy straws. Paper straws are supposedly WORSE for the oceans than plastic, as they contain various “forever chemicals”. But why doesn’t this dude just bring a bag of plastic straws with him, if he refuses to get a reusable one? 🤷🏻♂️
3. I’d be extremely grateful if a cruise ship had to change their route or delay something on MY account. I bet this person would as well. So maybe they should stop believing everything they read on social media and just STFU.
as long as the Kool-Aid is included, I don’t care.
Should be the cruisers choice? If they want all inclusive or not.
my advice. don't use a straw. I don't like the edible ones either so I just tell them no straw. Quit complaining people and enjoy your cruise.
