Why be rude first of all and why do these complainers even message John Heald in the first place over such silly complaints. He must have a super strong stomach to put up with all the whiny rude people on the internet. Thanks for the video Chris!
At first the "Smart" elevators can be frustrating! However the second time you use it it works out well.
My very first cruise was on Carnival Victory with my mom and sisters. Mom booked an Ocean View room because she knew that I am claustrophobic. We each arrived from our scattered homes around the country to find that Carnival upgraded us to a balcony room. It was the first time we were together since our Dad’s funeral the year before and we were so excited that we missed the welcome aboard luncheon, but we had the best time! It was the first time for my sisters and myself to cruise and I was hooked! Going on cruise #12 with hubby and son and dil (I got them hooked, too!) in 5 more days and can’t wait!
I like the idea that Carnival should just disembark, with no refund, anyone who tries the claustrophobia scam. Carnival can say that the person had a medical condition that they couldn't treat at sea (reference pregnancy after a certain number of weeks). If a person is truly claustrophobic, then they would really need a suite with bigger everything. That's something they would have known before they booked the inside cabin. So then the passenger would say, "That's OK. I was only kidding." And then Carnival could disembark them for trying to commit a scam. - Regarding smart elevators, the only kind I experienced was at my dermatologist's medical building. I was so confused at first. It worked fantastic though, because that's an old office building and the elevators were usually packed, especially if people had walkers or wheelchairs. It's great when new innovations work for the better.
I was a smoker for 30 years. I now vape. I always follow the rules for smoking wherever I am because the alternative is going totally non smoking which would really suck. Smart elevator is great as long as people use them correctly. That the one of the biggest complaint I see for ships that now have them. Great video as always 😊

1) This is the typical, I want something for nothing. AND BTW, that's because I am special and entitled.
2) Such arrogance. I am not familiar with laws, but I know the smoking rule is about safety - including insurance and possible local laws. If you are that addicted, you need to find another vacation. Or get help. AND, if you are willing to break that rule, how many others rules will you break.
3) New technology can be frustrating, but still no call for the rudeness.
Cruising in about 3 weeks from Galveston. People, please be kind to each other!

I see so, so many people asking how to get free up grades, when can they expect offers for free up grades? ugh. I would love a free upgrade, but I just buy what I want and can afford and live with it. I figure if there is an upgrade it will go to someone who spends in the casino.

I dont understand attacking John. If that person can be recognized he/she should be banned for life as asses are not allowed on cruise ships 😑.
