I sleep in and check in the next morning. My cabin will still be there. Man, when is Carnival going to release that weather control satellite? If it’s not ready yet, well I guess I better get travel insurance. What that? You didn’t buy insurance? It’s penalty time then. 😊

Dude, the entire reason I pay for a balcony as a solo cruiser is so that I can eat dinner and breakfast on said balcony. First of all, I find eating dinner alone in a cruise ship buffet to be depressing. As an introvert and solo cruiser, one of my favorite things about cruising is having dinner on my balcony with a good book and a glass of wine. When solo, I find eating in the buffet to be kind of depressing and eating in the MDR awkward and hectic - this is why I pay for a balcony even though I am solo. Room service menus typically aren’t that great and have few healthier options. Also I don’t leave my dishes in the hallway.

totally agree I'm single and a solo cruiser and love my balcony cabins for the peace and quiet and some times I like my coffee and breakfast on the balcony

I think someone is confusing Carnival with Southwest. No I don't stay up or set an alarm to check in at midnight for a cruise or a flight. I'll take the time slot that is left and get my sleep.

We use to check in at midnight but now we check in when we wake up

Hehe we have stayed up till midnight to check in so we could get the first check in time. But it wasn't open till around 8am lol but wasn't complaining about it :) we just went to bed and went online when we woke in the morning :)

1. We have never checked in before our ship sails. We just go to the port, check in there. As previously stated, your room is not going anywhere as long as you are on time.
2. Weather can wreak havoc anywhere, I say just go with the flow and enjoy the weather and the ship.....and drinks of course!
3. Not once have we've seen plates in the hallway. It would not bother me at all, just walk around it! These people that complain about simple things that are not their business seem to me to be very bitter people with time on their hands.

I'm excited to check in. But it's a cruise, not 911. It will happen.
30 inches of rain doesn't mean 30 inches all at once.
I personally think dirty dishes in the hallway is disgusting.
Donuts? Really? Why not ask nicely instead of being nasty.
