California Linda shares thank you for another great Saturday morning where Jeff and I enjoyed laughter and coffee. We are looking forward to Wednesday's Live. WRT the MDR we enjoy the relaxed dinner, but when we sail with our son and his family, it's always the Windjammer, for them the ship is the destination, for us, it's a taxi between ports. Enjoy a great weekend, Chris, and welcome home, Tiffany.

    Great video!
Btw, I PERSONALLY would love for them to move to the wristwatch as a replacement for the S&S card
But I’d also be perfectly happy if they kept to the S&S card as well

1- We are from West Virginia and we enjoy the "SILENCE" and darkness of an interior cabin.
2- We enjoy the slow and easy way the MDR flows. It is nice to be not be PUSHED out of dinner.
3- I do want to keep the S&S card, but that is NOT to us what Carnival decides to do.
4- Been on 21 Carnival cruises and never a lost or late bag!!!

I believe they did a survey a while back and asked Carnival Cruisers if they would like to have the princess style wristbands and I believe the survey came back where the great majority said they preferred the sign and saill card, I for one don't want to wear something that resembles a watch night and day just to get around the cruise ship I actually wear watches and I don't want to have to wear both, II much rather have a sign and saill card tucked away in my pocket.

Hi Chris! We take our own small usb fan mostly for the white noise but I like moving the air.
We also have taken protein bars for my husband because he is diabetic. Sometimes we use them and sometimes we don’t. Thank you for sharing your experience on other lines.
Check prohibited list frequently. Idiots who take stuff require cruise lines to update often.
I like the dive in movies. Murder on the Nile was so cool while at sea.
I have no opinion about the Olympics but I don’t watch them at home either.

Every cabin has a TV. It can be turned on to a boring channel with volume low.
I never time how long a meal takes. On land or sea you can choose a restaurant that fits your time frame for a meal.
Wearable technology could be made so your high level loyalty can be proudly displayed at all times. Of course you would need to remember the other information printed on your card.
Please tell me why I've never heard that Carnival is notorious for loosing luggage. Thank you for your consideration.

We often have inside cabins. Those are quiet.
Losing a bag? Has never happend to us - we have done more than 65 cruises. Keep fingers crossed!
A meal at the MDR is always short for us - app 60, 70 minutes max.
But we NEVER have dessert or a coffee....
Just an Appetizer and the Main course. Always.
    What was the other question?

    1. NCL (has Haven cabins) does not have a white noise machine. I've been on 5 NCL cruises.
    2. Wow 1.5 is fast. I budget a minimum of 2 hours for a multicourse meal. And I never eat during prime time.
    3. AI is here to stay. We need ethical practices but it may present more efficiency if applied correctly.
    4. People are denanding and have no idea how they sound.

Thanks as always. No I can get onto my day. Next Saturday we leave for our cruise from Galveston.
    1) Like always - why not offer a polite suggestion instead of demands?
    2) I am sure wait staff is very busy and trying to do what they are told by the cruise line. I suspect if you are in a hurry, you can make a request. No excuse for the rudeness.
    3) Since Carnival Inc. owns Princess, I suspect they know what MOST cruisers want 😀and will not make a rash decision about this.
    4) As always, please be kind. It will make the world a better place.

Yeah if you ask the MDR staff for a quick meal, they will (try) to accommodate.
The last three cruises, we’ve had our grandson with us (2 yrs old)
And they have always been happy to bring his meal out right away

Good Afternoon Mr. High Seas Cruising; Thank you very much for this episode. Thank you for calling out the person who doesn't take time to say "Please" and "Thank You". When did this start? There always has been self-centered and selfish people, but the bad manners, selfishness and not having empathy took a drastic upswing with the advent of texting and touch screen electronic devices that are not user friendly. Social Media comments is a perfect match for Text-Talk. Acceptable Text-Talk doesn't use proper warm opening of salutations, greetings, any thank you's, encouragement, or any nicety. Text-Talk and social media comments are now considered to be acceptable forms of communication. It isn't acceptable or nice. If a person commits themselves to always open with a kindly opening salutation, use the "sandwich" method of talking which is open and close with something positive and to close off with their full name, then guaranteed that person will become a kindly person in all manner of their life. Again Mr. High Seas Cruising, thank you for bringing us the facts, straight on. Sincerely,...Thank you.

    1. The couple didn't think to try to find out ahead of time? Also, they can download audio loops of white noise onto their phones or other audio devices.
    2. With only a table of two, they could ask the restaurant manager ahead of time to bring the courses closer together or all at the same time. I'm guessing that Carnival would accommodate this. From experience with other diners, some of them would get mad if the courses came too fast and would accuse the wait staff of rushing them. I know a couple of people - nice folks but they drive me crazy at a restaurant -- they insist on talking for a long time and won't even look at the menu until others drop hints that they are hungry and want food lol.
    3. So this person is furious based on an unfounded rumor? That ridiculous, and if Carnival decides it's in their best interest to use that technology, they will. Probably more future cruise passengers would be for it than against it.
    4. Some don't realize that wifi out on the ocean is not the same as on land. It's really expensive for the cruise line. Why do they need to track their luggage while at sea? I only track when I'm in the embark and debark ports.

I like background noise at night too. But there are apps you can add to your phone if it's that important to you. The MDR is slower paced. It's supposed to be. - There's always the buffet or pizza on the pool deck if you're in a rush. - Yes, basic politeness has disappeared from our culture sadly. I've done both the sail card and the medallion. Either is fine by me. I'm on vacation, and not stuck in some dingy cubicle farm somewhere. Folks have become too self-important. Get over yourselves.

Thanks Chris! Yes. I need white noise machine to drown out these noisy complainers onboard sending rude messages to John H 😆lol. We really enjoy the longer MDR meals. We know it could mean missing the early show in the theatre or whatever. But it’s ok, there always plenty to do at night. But to actually punish the staff crosses the line. They are doing their job and doing it well, don’t get them in trouble for no reason other than you being a rude jerk. AI wrist bands? What? They thinking about Virgin? Or maybe just maybe they saw it on the internet, our one final source of real truth left. Yep that’s it. Gotta get the diamonds involved too huh, ok right. That’ll fix it. For air tags comment, they also have to call by the last name as a final sign of disrespect, skip his first name and leave off the “Mr.” . Yes, also no please or thank you’s just good ole rudely speaking as usual. Get the internet package onboard and do a little polite research.
