I was going to skip over this episode while editing, but then I realized that it wouldn't give a true representation of my travels. Since I travel solo, I have to do everything myself; driving, pitching, planning, cooking, etc., along with recording and editing videos, going on long hikes, AND working a full-time job. On this occasion, I didn't do a good job of balancing my work, rest, and play. Normal adventures resume next week after I hit the restart button (and stopped sulking for not having endless energy! 😂)
Actually sort of enjoyed your vlog but hated seeing you down but we get these tests from time to time and you have come through with flying colours. Love your episodes and look forward as always to another interesting installment. You take care please.
Im glad you have shown this vlog roz, i know where you are coming from, i know how you feel trying to do everything on your own and it can easily become overwhelming. On the positive side of things the sun rises for another day and we have a new beginning 👍👍👍👍👍
Oh Roz, what a miserable day, my heart sank listening to you. Winston’s eyes listening to you prior to bedtime too🥱. Those slats, I wouldn’t have had the patience to correct them after the day you had. Glad to see normal service was returning by the end of the video. I think we have all had enough of this weather💨💦❄️, you do so well, far better than most of us, just getting on with it. Roll on those hazy, crazy days of summer ☀️🤞.
Roz Thank you for what you do and the love you give to your second hand dog Winstone is so so adorable the joy he brings is a bond so strong thank you. His tail tells us all what a happy fellow he is living the bestest life.
We all have those days, very frustrating. But any time I get annoyed, frustrated or angry, my new mantra is "let it go". It does actually work. Your final straw of the poo bag splitting did make me laugh, and sometimes laughter is all you need to break that bad moment. 😊
What you had there Roz was classic "Domino Effect" made worse by tiredness. The best thing to do is exactly what you did stop, rest and reassess the situation.I'm sure Winston would have helped if he could and I'm sure his positive energy helped. It also helps to know you've got 8.44k subscribers who've got your back.Safe travels.See you on the next.
Roz we only discovered your channel yesterday as we have been considering a Go Pod. What a breath of fresh air you & Winston are! Looking forward to seeing more of your adventures & enjoying your 100% honesty.
I’m probably old enough to be your mum and I still have the occasional sulk! I’m a bit of a perfectionist and want everything to be “just right” so it’s frustrating when things go wrong. Onwards and upwards!
Aw, all sollo travellers can feel bit like that. Extra pipe in your tool box so can put waste water in different place! I have been there with cable....cried, until warden loaned me a 25m one! Onwards and upwards. 24 days non stop in Pod is very noble in good weather, never mind the kind you've had!
When you feel that way, just let yourself feel that way until you feel differently, hopefully better !!! Also it does not help being a perfectionist !!! Sulking or getting angry does help !!! You get it out of your system and move on !!! You got there in the end and you still love Winston and he still loves you 😊😊😊Great moany video, loved every second of it !!! As Frank Sinatra sang “ Slats life, that’s just the way it goes “
Definitely been there Roz, in fact almost exact same scenario, pulled into the campsite in torrential rain, levelled the caravan only to find the waste master wouldn't fit under the van at all, completely went brain dead, until a passer by said don't you carry any extra hose ?? Of course I did and it was as simple as just connecting a piece of spare hose and feeding that into the waste, but why I didn't think of that to start with I don't know, probably cos I was soaked through and panicking and stressing, coupled with trying to get things done faster so I could get out the rain !! Anyway loving your vids and following your adventures, always give a thumbs 👍 but hardly comment as normally watching on TV 📺 👍👍
Life is like a rollercoaster. Relax. I'm going into a crisis on November 17th 2023 and it's still ongoing. I'm travelling to cheer myself up and be around people. Admitting you are having a bad time is totally normal. I will be caravaning in May for a long time. I will make sure that loneliness won't get a hold of me. Strasbourg France weekends and during the week in the Palatinate. I'm going to buy a mobile home for short outings away from my caravan. 6 meter mobile home and an 8 meter caravan don't make the psychy any better. Be strong and thank you for sharing. I may start my blog someday. All the best and hello to Winston.
Oh Roz! Day 19! I’m sure you want to bin off the whole day, but I’m pleased you decided to show us the unvarnished truth about solo micro caravanning, so extra credit to you from me for that. I feel that the Pod day was just the tonic you needed and it’s great to hear that you really like editing your vlogs because I really like watching them.😊😊
After a streak of 18 good days, I was due a bad one! And on the plus side, I got to spend day 20 relaxing and editing a video. Thanks so much for watching. Glad to hear you enjoy our videos.
Nothing wrong with a slow day when things not going right. Happens to us all. When the sun comes out, your spirits will rise and all will be fine. A glass of wine on rainy days maybe ?
It would probably be a good idea to secure the end bed slat at least with a couple of screws so that it doesn't pull right out. Roz, thanks for the videos. I enjoy watching you and Winston on your adventures. Take care! 👀👍
Hi Roz, thank you for showing us this video, it does give a true representation of what you sometimes go through when travelling. Looking forward to part 11. Hope you have had a good week. 🙂
The universe has a way of reminding you what the baseline is for life so you can more easily measure your good days. All in all though you were out in the fresh air and countryside with your best buddy so things weren't all that bad 🙂. (And it made it a very "real" video ...which is always good)!
Yep, in the grand scheme of things, it wasn't that bad; just a little blip. And we need the "bad" days to appreciate the good 😇 Thanks for watching and for your lovely comment.
@@Roz-Ventures just remember whilst we all really enjoy the videos, you need to make sure you don't become a slave to them - if you missed one to have a well earned rest, the world wouldn't stop spinning ... It may just seem like it had slowed down a bit 😂
Stayed in Cumbria couple of weeks back, same as you the caravan was only slightly off and we just left it. 2nd morning it was shifted and made level. Truly fries yer head. We all have the low days, makes the up days much gooderer. 😊
I like to be pitched and done, but in hindsight, I should have done what you did and left it until the next morning. 👍🏼 Thanks so much for watching and for your kind comment.
Hi Roz, Don't let the bad days get you down there's lots of good days to come. We always look forward to your videos each week and realy enjoy watching you and Winston. Those slats are a very bad idea and I would find a single piece of ply and put it under the right hand cusion and pull that out to make up bed each night and dump the slats. Not sure if that would work in your pod but worth a try, Cheers,
Roz have you ever thought of starting a comedy channel , it made me laugh. At least you’re still alive and kicking , and can see the funny side . Best wishes , it’s good to see both sides of the coin . Well Done.
😂😂 At the time, I was so tired and low on energy my little molehills seemed like a row of mountains 😂😂 But yeah, it was absolutely nothing. Worse things have happened at sea, and I survived 👍🏼🙌🏼 Thanks for watching
Your vlog has coincided with my failed camping trip! And the look on your face spoke a thousand words! I returned home defeated and deflated after 3 nights as I froze in the nighttime minus temperatures. My poor dog was shivering so badly she ended up inside my sleeping bag. Wales is lovely but I loathed the 20mph speed limits and have never seen so many speed cameras in my life! Loved hearing Winston’s nick name! I call Tilly by a nickname to…she’s called T’Dizzle, her rap star name😂
I've had my fair share of freezing nights in a tent. It really does sap all of your energy and motivation, and it's very hard to stay positive. I don't envy you at all. But glad you and T'Dizzle (great nickname 😅) made it through. I found the speed limits changed a lot when driving through wales - 40mph for a few minutes, then 30mph for about 100-meters, then 20mph for half a mile, then back to 40mph. It was hard to keep track 😂😂 Thanks for watching.
Global wetting global colding lol I just bought all new weather kit . As I got fed up of all the horrible weather be have had and having lol nice by the river I came near there on my way back Friday . No heating in my van lol so glad to get back .
Hello and have a nice day, both of you, There are always days in life that are best for the ton - you stay in bed and let the day go by. The fact that some things don't work out that work on other days without any problems is like that you accept it. We felt the same way back then. I had taken an extra sewage hose with me when I arrived at the place and it was too short... That's life, so forget about it and get on with the important things. All the best to you, VG Oldie
Top tip. Buy some boot dryers they plug in and dry your boots over night. They also make them nice and warm in the winter. It's a real game changer when you need your boots everyday. If you can get the Huskavarna ones I can recommend them. Thanks for introducing us to Duvalay we have two now and they are great. Keep up the videos we really enjoy your adventures.
My week has felt like this video, discumnockerated, out of sorts, everything has been a bit grotty & I've kept dropping things or knocking them over. I'll be glad to wake up tomorrow more myself & I feel for you in the video, you did the right thing having a quiet Saturday. It's quite nice to know it's not just me! Good old Winston was there for you.
I'm glad to hear we all have these experiences; when nothing seems to go to plan and everything takes twice and long as expected. They are not nice days, but I'm glad I'm not alone in them. I hope your tomorrow is more your day and things start going right for you 😀 Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
Work life balance Rozzmeister. No more burn out please. This darn weather doesn't help. Onwards and upwards with the adventures but still have your down time and chill.😊😊
Get the Laptop fired up and either do some work or watch a good movie. Next time you are out buy some cat litter and a rubber mat. Put your boots on the mat and fill them up with cat litter over night. Then always keep your wet boots in your pod like that from now on. You can also put the cat litter into a pair of old sox, it also smells nice.❤
Thank you for showing the full reality of your travels, sometimes nothing goes right no matter how hard you try 😵💫 I'm so frustrated at the price of campsites these days and to add £3 per day for Winston is just taking the piss I'm afraid. If a site provides facilities for the dogs like a decent exercise area, washing and drying facilities I could understand the price, but that is just ridiculous. You definitely need a better solution to those slats as well, they'd drive me insane. Perhaps a 2 or 3 pieces of MDF that you can easily store under the seat would be better?
Campsite prices are getting crazy. I just booked a site that charged £30+ per night and then had an email to tell me to remember to bring 50p pieces because I need to pay 50p for a 10-minute shower!! I couldn't believe it, but it's too late to cancel. The slats are my biggest bug bear with the Pod, especially on the nights when you're tired and you don't have the patience to be dealing with them. 🙈 Thanks so much for watching 👍🏼
🤗😁🤣🤣 HI Rox, you’ve really had a day and a half. These things do happen and you think it can’t get any worse and it does. Hope it didn’t cost you any swear money. I know it’s not good to laugh at someone struggling, but it is funny afterwards though. Here is a big hug and kiss🤗😘
Don't worry, I look back at it now and chuckle to myself 😅 It was just one of those days...but it didn't cost me any swear money!! Mainly because I was out there on my own so didn't say anything 😅 Thanks so much for watching!
Much sympathy and knowledge of a sh**** day. ❤. Best to have had a slow cosy pod day. Facility block does look new and clean. Trying to think of a way to help with slats. Still enjoyed video of you and Winston. Feel if we put adorable Winston you'll feel missed out❤ not the case. And do you know what, really looking forward to some sunny dry days. Thanks you for taking us with you, although we didn't get wet. Take care ❤
What a lovely heart felt video..I, for one have had many days like the one you had..I just relax a bit with a cup of tea and try to let it go over my head ,if that makes sense. Have you considered swapping the pod for a small caravan?..take care..David
I have thought about it, but my van wouldn't be able to tow anything much bigger and i don't want to change my vehicle just yet. So, Pod it is for now 👍🏼 Thanks for watching and for your nice comment.
Your eyes at the beginning of the video had my bottom lip quivering as I could feel your distress ! I too am travelling on my own but only for a few weeks and I fully understand your frustration. I couldn’t fit the front windscreen cover and ended up shoving it in the boot ! Like you it made no sense but the follow day and in the wind I did it no problem 😂. Being a 70 year old man I love to see you out walking knowing that those days are now behind me now but it matters not as my 2 little dogs make up for everything. Loving your videos. Richie.
I fully empathise with you as solo travelling is HARD, especially on those days where nothing goes to plan and everything takes twice as long as what it should take 😅 But the good times do outweigh the good 👍🏼 Thanks for watching our videos. Wishing you lots of happy adventures.
You could try fastening material between the slats to stop them twisting out of line ie slat material slat material and so on something thin like bed sheet
Its not so much what life throws at you, its how you deal with it that matters. Take 5 mins out and be a stronger person on the other side. Looking forward to the snowy peaks in the upcoming video. :)
Great advice! 👍🏼 The snowy peaks is a good episode (one of my faves) it's already edited and scheduled. It going to be released on Wed 8th May 👍🏼 Hope you enjoy it. Thanks for watching.
Well Roz we can all have bad days, some more than others. You are very capable on your camping adventures and we all learn as we go but things can be discouraging at times. On our camping adventures my wife doesn't have a clue on hooking up or setting up so you are ahead of my curve in the camping experience.
Thanks so much for your nice comment. I kinda don’t have a choice about hooking up 😅 I wouldn’t be going anywhere if I couldn’t attach the caravan to the back of my van 😂 Thanks so much for watching 👍🏼
Sulking is by far the best way to cope with days like that 😁 I am a master at that (in between bursts of swearing 😝). Thanks for sharing the warts and all. Chin up Roz. Normal service always resumes eh 😉
Over the years, sulking has become my go-to response when things get too much. It gives me time to think and process what's going on. Whereas my previous go-to was to fly off the handle in a fit of range and frustration; not so helpful 😅😅 Adventures are back next week 👍🏼 Thanks for watching and commenting 😀
I do exactly the same thing! I used to get extremely angry when things didn't work or go smoothly. I now take a step back to a quiet place and chill then start again with a clear head. Love your adventures keep up the great work. ❤
Yep, my frustration can quickly turn to anger when things aren't working as they should, so instead I just sulk in my car 😅 That step back can be hard to do, but it can make all the difference 👍🏼 Thanks for watching and sharing 👍🏼
I know days like that after 3 weeks in my little motorhome. It rains or snows, suddenly the electricity stops working and so does the heating. Showers don't work (and you've already undressed 🙈). The list is endless. Then I never want to camp again. A week later...OK, where is the next trip going? 😀 So I hope you feel the same and we get to see many more adventures with you and Winston. 👍 (Sorry my english ist not perfect 🙈)
Exactly that! Everything seems to go wrong all at the same time. But the good days do help to make up for the bad days 😀 Thanks so much for watching and for your kind comment. We wish you lots of happy adventures in your motorhome.
We all have days similar to the one you have just experienced! Nice to see that you handled it well. One of our favourite sites is between Hay on Wye and Hereford and it’s called Poston mill, for us it’s great as it has a massive off lead dog field maybe two or three acres or more where Penny (our little dog) can go nuts! It also has a nice on site bar / restaurant where we sit with Penny and have a couple of drinks if the weather permits. Everyone has different ideas how they like to use their caravans. Keep producing great videos Roz they are really interesting (and of course give Winston loads of cuddles!)
Just started watching your new vlog. Aww Roz I am in Spain and wanted to stretch my arms across the miles and give you a fatherly hug..chin up Roz your amazing and remember that .. onwards and upwards X Frank
Hi Roz heartbreaking to see you so sad at the start of the video, sometimes we have days like that I seem to have that every day 😂, it’s really nice having a lazy day now again, when life threats you shit look at handsome Winston if that don’t cheer you up your already dead, just keep punching, thanks for sharing looking forward to the next one 💐
I was just making a mountain out of a molehill, but tiredness can do that 😅 We're all good now 😀🐶 Thank you so much for watching and for your kind comment.
A tough day! I often park my GoPod at different angles on the pitches to get it level, no one has complained yet. I also have a grey water container with a side cap and a callapsable rectangular washing up dish that it sits on. Sounds weird, but i can then adjust the callapsable dish to suit the ground level, and put my grey water tank on top, works well for me. And the bed slats ... Yes, that happens to me too. I've learnt to not put weight on the front or side seat cushions whilst moving the slats, or they'll catch and fall off. Enjoying your videos and seeing a GoPod in action. Haven't been out in mine this year yet, but it's about time I did!
Great idea with the collapsable dish 👍🏼 And I'm glad I'm not the only one that has a problem with the Pod's bed slats 😅 They always fall off on the days when you have the least patience to deal with them 😅 Thanks for watching and wishing you happy adventures in your Pod 👍🏼
I've had a bad few days. I broke the milk system on my automatic coffee machine, my laptop doesn't seem to want to connect to the printer that it's been connected to for years, I'm having electrical problems in my home and just sat down to watch your upload. Thank you for making me see other people have bad days too. Sorry but I did laugh when I got to Winstons pooh part. I feel much better about my own day now. 😘
My biggest frustration is when technology decides to no longer work as it should and simple tasks take up a whole afternoon!! I'm glad to hear that I'm not alone in that! Winston's poop was the last straw for me 😂 Thanks for watching. I hope your tomorrow starts to go your way 👍🏼
Yep, I’ve had days like that. They do happen occasionally. I still don’t understand why sites charge for dogs? I know some sites offer a dog walking field, and the grass may have to be cut, but other than that, what other facilities do camp sites offer doggie visitors? 🤷🏻♂️
Not much else except for dog poop bins. But I assume that the campsite insurance is more expensive if they allow dogs, although I don't know how much extra it would cost them 🤔
I’m interested why Winston is always in a coat even inside. Is he cold or is it something to do with his injury? You don’t have to answer obviously. With mine I always love taking everything off them and letting them roam free in the house without clothes but I realise camping is very different. Loving your videos. High class. I only found you at the weekend. Thank you. Helen.
Hello. Couple of reasons. Winston has spinal implants and arthritis, both of which don’t do well in the cold so I like to make sure he’s kept warm enough. Secondly, Winston doesn’t moult, so he gets clipped. And lastly the Pod is not a house, and it can be draughty and cold inside, especially on a winter morning when the heating has been off all night, and I often find myself wearing more layers. When at home, Winston doesn’t wear a coat inside, nor does he wear one in the summer. Only on cold, damp, and windy days when we’re trying to live inside a draughty plastic bubble 😅😅😅 Hope that helps. Thanks so much for watching our videos. We have a new adventure series starting soon 🙌🏼🐶😀
Exactly that! Watching it now, I can see it was just a minor blip, but at the time, everything feels much worse 🙈 But in the grand scheme of life, it was nothing, and the next few days do get better 😀 Thanks for watching.
Exactly that!! It was a tiny blip that, in the grand scheme of things, really isn’t that bad at all. But at the time, it does feel as though the world is against you 😅 Thanks for watching.
Absolutely nothing with an 'at home' day, no matter what your accommodation. It's to easy to feel that you should fill every moment with something. Your body has a way of reminding you to slow down and take a break. Plus, it's good for everyone watching to realise that not every day is sunshine and rainbows. There's too many videos like that on youtube where the moment reality hits is glossed over. (And nothing wrong with a good sulk either lol).
When I'm travelling I always want to go everywhere and see everything, get up early and go to bed late, and make the most of every day even though I know that's physically impossible and I'm not Super Woman 😅 A temporary sulk and shutdown was needed 👍🏼 Fingers crossed, I've learned my lesson! Thanks so much for watching and for your kind comment.
We all had one off those lousy days where you think everything is against u but it isn't.. Ur tired a good night sleep is all u need come the next day u b laughing to urself later on...
Those bed slats look a nightmare! I’d be worried about them dropping off whilst I was in bed. Great video, glad things improved after a quiet pod day. Much respect, Roz for you being so candid about the good and the bad days whilst touring in a pod.
The bed slats do sometimes drop; not all of them, but I do occasionally feel one of them pop of the rail. Not enough to send me crashing to the floor though 😅 Thanks so much for watching and for your kind comment.
Thank you Roz. You made me cry which sounds weird but I was bottling stuff up and suddenly there was a kindred spirit I wanted to give you a big hug...I really look forward to your videos with Winston and the pod . You do brilliantly solo travelling vlogging, home working etc and getting out in the fresh air. An inspiration xxx
Thank you so much for watching and for your kind comment. I hope you're now feeling better, sometimes a good cry and letting things out is just what we need. All the best x
Why carry 2 hook up cables. Especially a short one. Surely the long one is all you need. We carry water in containers from site to site. Only enough for several cups of tea. Etc etc. Can set up with or without grey waste container in rain. The sort of grey waste water on gravel from our van is basically water from washing pots . Maybe some coffee dregs. Just puzzled by your frustration. George and Jane
I bought a 10m cable first. But after encountering a few campsites where the 10m wasn't long enough, I then bought a 25m cable. I take them both with me because, on pitches that are close to the hookups, I much prefer to use the shorter cable than have the longer cable strung out everywhere (you can't leave it wrapped up for safety reasons). Unfortunately, I do not feel comfortable setting up without a grey waste container, even if it is raining. I do not want my grey waste being emptied onto the pitch, especially since I was there for 6-nights and use my sink for washing pots etc. Hope that helps explain. Thanks for watching 👍🏼
I felt so sorry for you, seeing you struggling and feeling frustrated. What a day. Having said that, any day with Winston is a good day. How many toiletries? Was there anything left in Superdrug after you’d done your shopping🤣
Those were just my "shower toiletries" I have a lot more in another bag 🙈 It wasn't a great day, but nobody died so it could have been much worse. And I felt much better after a good sleep and rest 😇 Thanks so much for watching.
I follow many vlogs of camping. I really think these campsites are taking the piss charging over £20.00 per night. £140.00 + per week, you could have an all inclusive holiday for that price in Spain!
Campsites are getting crazy!! Just booked all the campsites for a future trip and one charged £32 per night, and then I had an email today telling me to remember my 50 pence pieces because I need to pay 50p for the showers every 10 minutes!! It’s too late to change campsite (and I’d lose my deposit) but i’ll cover it in a future vlog.
Try being a 'blamer'. I'm a great 'blamer bloke', I mean its taken me years to perfect the art I have to admit but to blame others for my own inadequacies is just so liberating deep in the knowledge wedged within my little brain its me against the world😇
Wales this time of year ( a lot of times) is, at best, a gamble. The ( English ) accent dos'nt help. I've been all over the shop, but never encountered so much racism as i have in Wales...Fact.
Most days have been rain. I have lived in my waterproofs throughout this adventure and I may start evolving to have webbed feet 😅 Fingers crossed sunny days are around the corner 👍🏼
Hey Roz, another great video! Sorry to hear you had a bit of a nightmare day, and having to faff about with the bed slats was obviously the last thing you needed! The slats can be a bit finnicky (but that's true for most caravans/campers that use the same system) but if you make sure to grab the first slat with a hand at either end and pull them out evenly, moving back on your knees, it should be a lot easier. Our seating/bed area video shows me demonstrating the process; ruclips.net/video/_lCINISvysk/видео.htmlsi=9SM3w4IWqw3TZR0G&t=40 You could always do away with the slats and have a couple of bits of wood cut to size at Wickes/a builders merchants. Pre-2016 Go-Pods used a similar sort of system which some Go-Pod owners find a little easier to deal with. Of course, you'd need to find a space to store them but it's worth bearing in mind. Looking forward to your future videos as always 😃
Thank you. I seem to be okay with them on most days, but they always seem to fall off on the days when I have the least energy and patience to deal with them 😅
@@Roz-Ventures I've been out riding my 🏍️ and NOTHING has gone right. Just a feeling often, nothing "gells", everything seems strained, idiots pulling out on me. Not often, but when it does,I turn around and go home, read my book!!😁

Glad to know it's not just me. AND I have just bought a hose for our next trip 😂😂😂
Thanks so much for watching 👍🏼 We really appreciate it.
Wishing you all the best on your travels. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
Oh Roz!
Thank you. I'm not really a drinker, I'm more of an eater 😂 I want chocolate, cake, and ice cream on bad days 🍫🍰🍨
It would probably be a good idea to secure the end bed slat at least with a couple of screws so that it doesn't pull right out. Roz, thanks for the videos. I enjoy watching you and Winston on your adventures. Take care! 👀👍
Great tip. Thanks so much for watching. Our new adventure series starts soon 👍🏼
Hi Roz, thank you for showing us this video, it does give a true representation of what you sometimes go through when travelling. Looking forward to part 11. Hope you have had a good week. 🙂
It's been a busy week! Hope you week has been enjoyable also. Thanks so much for watching our video, next week's won't be as depressing 😅😅
It's hard to feel too done with everything when you have Winston's beautiful brown eyes staring up at you with unconditional love 😍
Winston never has a bad day. And cuddles with him does help to make any day better 🐶
Thanks for watching.
Thanks so much for watching and for your kind comment.
Hi Roz,
Don't let the bad days get you down there's lots of good days to come. We always look forward to your videos each week and realy enjoy watching you and Winston.
Those slats are a very bad idea and I would find a single piece of ply and put it under the right hand cusion and pull that out to make up bed each night and dump the slats.
Not sure if that would work in your pod but worth a try,
Cheers,
That's a good idea 👍🏼 I'll have a look into that. Thanks so much.
And thanks a lot for watching our videos 😀 Means a lot to us 👍🏼
No matter how bad your day is, you get to snuggle with Winston….
I think it may come under a "fair use" policy 🤔 Not sure.
It was hard to keep track 😂😂
Thanks for watching.
Global wetting global colding lol I just bought all new weather kit . As I got fed up of all the horrible weather be have had and having lol nice by the river I came near there on my way back Friday . No heating in my van lol so glad to get back .
I couldn't travel through winter without heating 😱 I got a chill just thinking about it 😅
Hope you're warm and comfortable now, thanks for watching.
Great advice! Thank you so much, and thanks for watching 👍🏼
I didn't know what much a product existed! 😱😱 I'll have a look for them. Thanks so much 👍🏼
My week has felt like this video, discumnockerated, out of sorts, everything has been a bit grotty & I've kept dropping things or knocking them over.
I hope your tomorrow is more your day and things start going right for you 😀
Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
Well done for working through the bad day. They happen . Weather like that never helps.
I think I'm due a few days of sunshine after all the rain I have endured on this adventure 😂😂
Thanks for watching 👍🏼
🤗New day...reset. Go with first instinct.
Thankyou for continuing with editing for us🙂
My pleasure! Thanks so much for watching 👍🏼
Work life balance Rozzmeister. No more burn out please. This darn weather doesn't help. Onwards and upwards with the adventures but still have your down time and chill.😊😊
I pushed myself a bit too far in this one. Lesson learnt!! (hopefully 😅)
Thanks for watching.
Oh dear that was a bad day ,a cuddle with Winston is the best medicine and thank you for sharing the video chin up as they say .
Thank you very much 😇
Get the Laptop fired up and either do some work or watch a good movie.
Thanks so much for watching 👍🏼
🤗😁🤣🤣 HI Rox, you’ve really had a day and a half. These things do happen and you think it can’t get any worse and it does. Hope it didn’t cost you any swear money. I know it’s not good to laugh at someone struggling, but it is funny afterwards though. Here is a big hug and kiss🤗😘
Don't worry, I look back at it now and chuckle to myself 😅 It was just one of those days...but it didn't cost me any swear money!! Mainly because I was out there on my own so didn't say anything 😅
Thanks so much for watching!
Take care ❤
Thanks for your lovely comment and for watching our video. I am looking forward to sunnier days 😀😇
So, Pod it is for now 👍🏼
Thanks for watching and for your nice comment.
Richie.
I fully empathise with you as solo travelling is HARD, especially on those days where nothing goes to plan and everything takes twice as long as what it should take 😅 But the good times do outweigh the good 👍🏼
Thanks for watching our videos. Wishing you lots of happy adventures.
You could try fastening material between the slats to stop them twisting out of line ie slat material slat material and so on something thin like bed sheet
That's a good shout! Thanks 👍🏼
I kinda don’t have a choice about hooking up 😅 I wouldn’t be going anywhere if I couldn’t attach the caravan to the back of my van 😂
Thanks so much for watching 👍🏼
Sulking is by far the best way to cope with days like that 😁 I am a master at that (in between bursts of swearing 😝). Thanks for sharing the warts and all. Chin up Roz. Normal service always resumes eh 😉
Over the years, sulking has become my go-to response when things get too much. It gives me time to think and process what's going on. Whereas my previous go-to was to fly off the handle in a fit of range and frustration; not so helpful 😅😅
Adventures are back next week 👍🏼
Thanks for watching and commenting 😀
I do exactly the same thing! I used to get extremely angry when things didn't work or go smoothly. I now take a step back to a quiet place and chill then start again with a clear head. Love your adventures keep up the great work. ❤
Yep, my frustration can quickly turn to anger when things aren't working as they should, so instead I just sulk in my car 😅 That step back can be hard to do, but it can make all the difference 👍🏼
Thanks for watching and sharing 👍🏼
Everyone needs a "down day" to reset and recoup....nothing to be ashamed of there...looks like you were due one ....Good to see you bouncing back 🤙
Thanks so much. I was a lot better after a good night sleep and a rest day.
I thought I was the one who days like this. If it can't get any worse it usually does. Love your adventures

But the good days do help to make up for the bad days 😀
Thanks so much for watching and for your kind comment.
Thank sounds like a lovely campsite! I'll put it on my list to visit one day. Thanks so much for watching and for your kind comment.
Excellent sulking Roz, you smashed it 🤣
On of my best skills! In fairness, I've had a lot of practice 😂
Thanks for watching 👍🏼

Great idea with the collapsable dish 👍🏼 And I'm glad I'm not the only one that has a problem with the Pod's bed slats 😅 They always fall off on the days when you have the least patience to deal with them 😅
Thanks for watching and wishing you happy adventures in your Pod 👍🏼
I've had a bad few days. I broke the milk system on my automatic coffee machine, my laptop doesn't seem to want to connect to the printer that it's been connected to for years, I'm having electrical problems in my home and just sat down to watch your upload. Thank you for making me see other people have bad days too. Sorry but I did laugh when I got to Winstons pooh part. I feel much better about my own day now. 😘
My biggest frustration is when technology decides to no longer work as it should and simple tasks take up a whole afternoon!! I'm glad to hear that I'm not alone in that!
Winston's poop was the last straw for me 😂
Thanks for watching. I hope your tomorrow starts to go your way 👍🏼
@@Roz-Ventures thanks. Tomorrow is always a new beginning, hope with it it brings a better day for us all. Thanks for sharing your journey. 🙋🐕🍀
But I assume that the campsite insurance is more expensive if they allow dogs, although I don't know how much extra it would cost them 🤔
I feel for you, these bad days make us appreciate the good ones all the more, still a great vlog, sending hugs to you both ❤️
Yes they do! Not all days can be joyful and full of excitement; although I wish they could be 😅
I’m interested why Winston is always in a coat even inside.
Only on cold, damp, and windy days when we’re trying to live inside a draughty plastic bubble 😅😅😅
Hope that helps. Thanks so much for watching our videos. We have a new adventure series starting soon 🙌🏼🐶😀
Been there done that, know how you feel. You ask yourself why am I doing this. Then the next day it doesn’t seem so bad. Take care.
Exactly that! Watching it now, I can see it was just a minor blip, but at the time, everything feels much worse 🙈 But in the grand scheme of life, it was nothing, and the next few days do get better 😀 Thanks for watching.
Just take your time and make a cup of tea. Time to have a rest . Good to have a rant that’s why we are here now get that TEA and rest
A good cup of tea is a great idea! 👍🏼

@@samuelbeckett4632 Tea is an important substance well worthy of any and all debates 👍🏼
When you feel like that little things become big things 😐
Well done for keeping it together x
Exactly that!! It was a tiny blip that, in the grand scheme of things, really isn’t that bad at all. But at the time, it does feel as though the world is against you 😅
Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much for this open and honest glimpse into life on the road. And good call on having a down day in the Pod. Best wishes

Not enough to send me crashing to the floor though 😅

I should have done that 😅👍🏼
Thank you Roz.
Those were just my "shower toiletries" I have a lot more in another bag 🙈
It wasn't a great day, but nobody died so it could have been much worse. And I felt much better after a good sleep and rest 😇
Thanks so much for watching.
@@Roz-Ventures What? How many toiletries do you need? Anyway, I'll shut up or it'll be another toilet seat discussion 🤣
@@matthewvaughan6327 There are worse addictions to have 😂😂 Just never let me loose in a Boots with a credit card 😅
❤😊

I guess Winston is not good with slat sorting,
Winston has two jobs: wagging his tail and giving sleepy cuddles 😅 Everything else is on me 😂
Have a cup of tea and get in bed and sleep/read.
The best remedy for most things! ❤️

Everyone has a bad day
Try being a 'blamer'. I'm a great 'blamer bloke', I mean its taken me years to perfect the art I have to admit but to blame others for my own inadequacies is just so liberating deep in the knowledge wedged within my little brain its me against the world😇
😂😂😂 I think I would be good at that 🤔😅
Wales this time of year ( a lot of times) is, at best, a gamble. The ( English ) accent dos'nt help. I've been all over the shop, but never encountered so much racism as i have in Wales...Fact.
Most days have been rain. I have lived in my waterproofs throughout this adventure and I may start evolving to have webbed feet 😅
Fingers crossed sunny days are around the corner 👍🏼
Hey Roz, another great video! Sorry to hear you had a bit of a nightmare day, and having to faff about with the bed slats was obviously the last thing you needed!
The slats can be a bit finnicky (but that's true for most caravans/campers that use the same system) but if you make sure to grab the first slat with a hand at either end and pull them out evenly, moving back on your knees, it should be a lot easier. Our seating/bed area video shows me demonstrating the process; ruclips.net/video/_lCINISvysk/видео.htmlsi=9SM3w4IWqw3TZR0G&t=40
You could always do away with the slats and have a couple of bits of wood cut to size at Wickes/a builders merchants. Pre-2016 Go-Pods used a similar sort of system which some Go-Pod owners find a little easier to deal with. Of course, you'd need to find a space to store them but it's worth bearing in mind.
Looking forward to your future videos as always 😃
Thank you. I seem to be okay with them on most days, but they always seem to fall off on the days when I have the least energy and patience to deal with them 😅
@@Roz-Ventures Ah, that's always the way! Hoping that with the weather improving, things get easier for you ☺
