That is actually not a bug! Retinazer will only shoot a laser if he's above you and is closer than 400 pixels(25 tiles) to you

another interesting part of his AI that I've noticed: in his second phase, he does not dash at all anymore and instead only shoots at the player. if the player is standing still, he will just hover either above or to the left of them are fire lasers, which can't go through blocks. therefore, a super easy cheese strat for the twins is just to kill spasmatism, hide in a room after retinazer transforms, and kill him with a weapon that can attack from behind blocks (which all classes have at least one or more of at this point in the game)

So many little things become devastating when you are one-hit, when normally they would just be kind of annoying.

@@MenacingTato69420 he said in the videos that he'd edit in boss summons if he didn't beat them after a few tries, but that's it. he still grinded the first few, and he still grinded all of his armours, weapons, and accessories legit. that's still a playthrough bozo, he didn't just edit in every one of his items before each fight.
@@Deltexterity No it’s not, a legit playthrough would be NOT editing in ANYTHING. Period. Everything would be earned through luck or grinding. Get that info through your skull.

For Duke Fishron I highly recommend the Gelatinous Pillon if you don't want to abuse the Shield of Cthulu. I tried to fight him no-hit myself and this was the best solution I had for phase 3. The witch's flying broom for phase 1 and 2, then swap to the Queen Slime mount for phase 3 and it's the easiest way to beat him without cheesing him imo
Unicorn Mount better, it creates more distance and as long as you have anything with a good projectile, you can damage Duke as you run from one side of the arena to another.

nobody talking about how he didn't end up keeping the brain of confusion on the entire time, he'd be able to take a hit but not die but this absolute mad man went for the challenge if literally not getting hit once no matter what and I couldn't have any more respect for the dedication
I think rifle scope (binoculars for other classes) could be a really good accessory for a 1hp challenge? the extra view distance gives you a bit of foresight and let's you have the boss at a distance.

what andrei said, but also a lot of players (myself included) have so much muscle memory tied to the player being in the center of the screen such that the shift in vision of a scope completely neuters their ability to dodge properly.

Especially with, as some others are suggesting, a hunter potion to make sure you can effectively keep track of her in a larger space with other enemies
Thing during plantera fight if you turn off autosaves you can fight it multiple times with the same bulb
tip for the future: you can set up sunflowers to reduce enemy spawns, which would help a lot paired with calming potions

When the bulb breaks you need to be within a certain trapezoid centered around the bulb.
i havent played terraria in 2 years and ive just started mastermode yesterday...
i cant even mine because regular slimes and zombies just 2shot me. idk how you even do this with 1hp. like holy moly.
Honestly I wouldn't have complained about using hallowed armor, since aside from set bonuses there really aren't any benefits.

Anyways plantera not despawning is a real good update. I mean how much time we died to that plant while on our way to the arena? Still thinking that they should make a craftable summon but this is also good.

What you could've done for plantera is put a nimbus rod at the top of the hole so it does extra damage.
I almost always no hit destroyer. Make a sky bridge high enough that it just barely can’t reach, place down 20-30 blocks on each side of where you want the center to be, may a 3-block wide hole in the center, throw nimbus in hole until their cap is reached (I think it’s 2 clouds). You can’t get shot by the destroyer itself, it will never get in range to deal contact damage, and all you have to do is fight probes. You can optionally use the storm bow for crowd control and extra damage. EZ.

i actually think empress might be the best boss for this chalenge since her day version one hits anyway it shouldnt be that hard to beat her since alot of strategies for her allready have the no hit in mind
Yeah, and you'll also get the Soaring Insignia from it, making your mobility much better for dodging.

My man got sauced by Retinazer twice; the one where he refused to shoot and then got you with the surprise lazer felt personal.

Not that I'm complaining it's really the only fair way to deal with them reliably.

So the twins in the first phase actually just hover a certain distance away from the player wich makes at least the fire balls really easy to doge, and in phase 2 of retanizer he will always shoot below you if you are running on a bridge fast enough.
Out of curiosity, when making the adamantite armor at the beginning you said "I stayed away from titanium". How would you have been able to get the titanium anyway? It cannot be shimmered from adamantite, only vice versa, and the chlorophyte extractinator is post-Plantera.

The challenge in my opinion is very fun. I tried it a while ago and it felt so interesting cause I needed to find unique strategies for bosses.
He turns this into touhou with this projectile dodging.

A fun fact, both adamantite mage and range helmets are better than titanium ones, and only the titanium melee helmet gives more dps than the alternative.

Plantera only spawns if the bulb is on screen when broken
Genuinely think Prime is by far the easiest Mech boss, all you have to do is target the laser hand, and once that is dead you are free to literally just run back and forth and he can't hit you
I know this is a late comment but you could’ve fought skeletron prime enraged bc he already one-hits you and when he’s enraged he has consistent attacks and it’s easier than if he randomly starts spinning and kills you.

O yea the main way I beat WoF in legendary was using imp banners since the wall lasers didn't do much to my tank build. Won't really work for summoner tho. I'm also just bad at moon lord in general as well.

What i did is that i blew up the surface of hell , made it really low, and also blew up the upper side , and filled the rest with dirst , in a way i don't need to use imp banners , because imps won't even be present in the first place , literally took not a single hit from the imps , used a minecart , was buffed to the teeth , all my accessories were for damage and defense , i only had to deal with the laser , which was easy i only had to jump to it , even with all of that i barely made it
And hey if you suffer with moon lord i already have a saved text that shows the strategy and everything i needed to kill him 2nd try Ill put it in a separate reply to not confuse it

This only work in expert and master , for legendary you need an extra step for the moon boulders ill talk about is later
CLASSES
best 2 classes to kill moon lord are first Ranger then mage ,
Ranger , you need the shroomite armor made from shroomite bars made from glowing mushroom and chlorophite in the auto hammer crafing station bought from the truffle spawned in a mushroom biome on the surface , Phantasm bow if you have a good aim and the vortex beater if you want to focus only on the dodging
Mage , youll need the specter armor made from chlorophite and ectoplasm , you will need the mask , NOT the hood , the moon lord will prevent you from healing from it so you will need the mask instead
ACCESSORIES
Terraspark boots OR ampibian boots (Amphibian boots are better choice allowing you to jump way faster you get them by mixing frog leg and a selfish boots both obtained from fishing)
Ankh shield/frozen shield/obsidian shield (best shield here is the frozen shield made from frozen shell dropped by ice turtles in the underground ice biome and paladin shield from the Paladin)
There are alot of good wings you can get as Fishron wings , empress wings and the spooky wings (empress wing are the best)
Master ninga gear for dashing
You need the tabi , the black belt from bone lee in the dungeon , and the climbing gear from chests
The destroyer emblem for ranger
You can mix it with the scope gottem from the skeleton sniper for more view , for MAGE you will use the mana flower with any upgrade for it instead
Bandle of baloons for more air time and fast jumps OR you can use the soring insignia from the EoL
ARENA
you can make one of two arenas and i don't recommend using both at the same time
One
The asphalt arena (best option)
Build a looooong asphalt arena , set it all in lava so mobs never spawn (use obsidian skin potion if you are using ampibian boots)
The platform arena
Build a long platform arena made from platforms between 3 and 4 lawers , put your buffes in it and make it too long , if you want you can make it less long but build a home in it's edge and teleport when you reach the end
STRATEGY
Start running but don't let the boss off your screen , or at least not all of it so you dont make him teleport towards you , try to use a headphones to hear his attacks as the fast bullets so you can jump when you hear it , or just focus on the attacks , for the death ray you can use the RoD , or you can jump around him since you already equipped a fast jumpimg accessories that won't be a problem for you (if in legendary mode you need to teleport to the home you made at the edge of the arena after you built a wall to block the moon boulders feom getting into the arena)
You can use the nurse if you want , use potions , luck potions can help , garden Gnomes , bast statues , sun flowers , campfires , heart lanterns and mana lanterns

Terraria, but you can’t use any items that are materials, no placing blocks that are materials, no using weapons that are materials. You can only craft with materials to make items that aren’t materials. example: you can’t use Hermes boots but you can use the terraspark boots, Good luck 😉
Also boss summons that are materials can’t be used, the bosses have to spawn naturally
