That is actually not a bug! Retinazer will only shoot a laser if he's above you and is closer than 400 pixels(25 tiles) to you

another interesting part of his AI that I've noticed: in his second phase, he does not dash at all anymore and instead only shoots at the player. if the player is standing still, he will just hover either above or to the left of them are fire lasers, which can't go through blocks. therefore, a super easy cheese strat for the twins is just to kill spasmatism, hide in a room after retinazer transforms, and kill him with a weapon that can attack from behind blocks (which all classes have at least one or more of at this point in the game)

@formerlyknownasmenacingpotato he said in the videos that he'd edit in boss summons if he didn't beat them after a few tries, but that's it. he still grinded the first few, and he still grinded all of his armours, weapons, and accessories legit. that's still a playthrough bozo, he didn't just edit in every one of his items before each fight.
@Deltexterity No it’s not, a legit playthrough would be NOT editing in ANYTHING. Period. Everything would be earned through luck or grinding. Get that info through your skull.

When the bulb breaks you need to be within a certain trapezoid centered around the bulb.

For Duke Fishron I highly recommend the Gelatinous Pillon if you don't want to abuse the Shield of Cthulu. I tried to fight him no-hit myself and this was the best solution I had for phase 3. The witch's flying broom for phase 1 and 2, then swap to the Queen Slime mount for phase 3 and it's the easiest way to beat him without cheesing him imo
Unicorn Mount better, it creates more distance and as long as you have anything with a good projectile, you can damage Duke as you run from one side of the arena to another.

My man got sauced by Retinazer twice; the one where he refused to shoot and then got you with the surprise lazer felt personal.

6:50 I spawned like 50 Retinazers on top of each other one time for fun, and they were all synchronised up. All of the lasers that were shot made a sort of square, as the components of each laser's velocity were varied by some random amount separately. I want to say the aim has a 20-30 degree spread, which, yeah, is terrible.

What you could've done for plantera is put a nimbus rod at the top of the hole so it does extra damage.

tip for the future: you can set up sunflowers to reduce enemy spawns, which would help a lot paired with calming potions
Brain of catholo , master ninja gear, hallows armor is the best combo you can get

you can make a bed under the temple and recall once you spawn golem
I think rifle scope (binoculars for other classes) could be a really good accessory for a 1hp challenge? the extra view distance gives you a bit of foresight and let's you have the boss at a distance.

what andrei said, but also a lot of players (myself included) have so much muscle memory tied to the player being in the center of the screen such that the shift in vision of a scope completely neuters their ability to dodge properly.

So the twins in the first phase actually just hover a certain distance away from the player wich makes at least the fire balls really easy to doge, and in phase 2 of retanizer he will always shoot below you if you are running on a bridge fast enough.
i havent played terraria in 2 years and ive just started mastermode yesterday...
i cant even mine because regular slimes and zombies just 2shot me. idk how you even do this with 1hp. like holy moly.

I almost always no hit destroyer. Make a sky bridge high enough that it just barely can’t reach, place down 20-30 blocks on each side of where you want the center to be, may a 3-block wide hole in the center, throw nimbus in hole until their cap is reached (I think it’s 2 clouds). You can’t get shot by the destroyer itself, it will never get in range to deal contact damage, and all you have to do is fight probes. You can optionally use the storm bow for crowd control and extra damage. EZ.
