- In today's video, I try to see if I can beat Terraria without ever using accessories. I also decided to give myself a variety of extra restrictions to make the challenge more difficult (full ruleset below). It should be noted that I did use quality of life mods to save time in the run, however, nothing was used to change the stats of bosses, enemies, or items. This was also done in Expert Mode. I'm gana be honest, they made flails pretty good for bosses early game, It doesn't excuse that they're almost the only option, but at least it's viable, and that's what counts

@barackobamafanclub9954 Basically pressing a button targets the nearest enemy, allowing you to autoaim your attacks towards them.
You can find it in your controller button layout settings on pc.

Spook Squid I haven’t done master mode quite yet been having fun with calamity becaus to just switched from console to pc I really enjoyed the fact that I didn’t have to go out of my way to make a EoC spawn when I just finished preparing it said you feel an evil pretense watching you. I did beat it though probably because it’s on normal but I am really enjoying calamity

I think you really should have used sunflowers for the happy buff because the buff actually makes a difference in speed. Just my opinion

I didn't realize grapple was such a not used strategy, that's what I always have used

I've died to this after the Moon Lord died and he did his little "cutscene" thing. Apparently if you die during the cutscene it doesn't count as you beating it. You don't get any drops either.

I discovered this fact three days ago of my own accord. It also makes moon lord *that* much harder without cobalt/obsidian/ankh shield.

Now they decided to change that in Journey's End, and he drops loot like usual
Co5mic Waffle yeah, but the shield is so op that if you’re not specifically trying to beat terraria without the shield, you should always have it. I would even just keep the normal base cobalt shield throughout hard mode because I think it’s that useful.

Sometimes, something being cheesy and stupid is what makes it fun. The Daedalus Stormbow is one of my favorite weapons in the entire game bc of how it takes aiming as a 'cute idea' and just _melts_ anything within 3 miles of you.

Have you ever thought of doing an only accessory and armor challenge? I know cactus armor can damage enemies, and shield of Cthulhu damage is scaled as melee… or just do a shield of Cthulhu as your only weapon run?

Florence well he spawned from the slime event and I didn't have an arena or the proper weapons AT ALL 😂 and his ai did change and you can't cheese him anymore so he's a bit harder than the usual bow strategy

the point of the challenge isn’t obtaining beenades or farmin mimics for a storm bow though. The mods are there to make the stream watchable

It’s not that deep
One time I died to king slime because my “arena”(basically just a large stair case up for stars) was so bad that I got knocked off and got to one shot from fall the boss tp. I had over 200 hours in the game at that point
I died to king slime once because my "arena" was a short platform and I got stuck between the arena and my house and I had only 120 HP and no armour (expert). There was a slime rain so the slimes were a huge pain in the arse.
I died to king slime once because he was summoned bc of slime rain. I was about to kill him on my rope tower but a tiny green slime knocked me off the rope and i fell directly into king slime and died.
I was explroing a living wood tree in the outer thirds of the map, and bam king slime kills me
king slime can be hard without some terraforming, and preparation

Boi, weapon reforges are super useful in any challenge, especially in this one since you have the money you would have spent on accessory reforges and can put it towards better weapon reforges

For real though, king slime can be a threat when you're not prepared. And also the fact that he's always underestimated as a very easy boss and players being overconfident they'll win against king slime without trouble is what gets them killed.

Realistically it just cuts down grinding for those items in industrial quantities, he could get a lot of those items and craft them into infinites and save time or constantly grind for them during the playthrough, which really has no benefits
@robin9793 I would say farming is part of the challenge. Surviving blood moon for deathweed? Nah just add an NPC to buy the potions off. Learning to fight queen bee properly? Nah just get infinite beenades. Learning to fight Hallowed Mimics consistently? Nah just change the 1 drop to stormbow. Like what? Really? Just because you *could* have got it that means it's ok to just mod it to yourself? At that point just give yourself infinite bars of whatever is available. You *could* have gone and mined it so it's ok right? Hell just give yourself Vampire Knives as soon as hardmode starts because you *could* have farmed crimson enemies until you got the key, so just skip all that grinding. Give yourself infinite money too because you *could* have made an ocean farm, and it's just skipping the grind.
Taylor First off to craft the infinites you have to get a lot of that item, similar to how you need 3996 arrows for an unlimited quiver, so you still need to get some amount of grinding done, you still need to get a lot of deathweed, you still need to learn queen bee? And when you already know how to do both, it’s not developing a skill and getting better at the game, it’s just doing the same thing over and over again, if you kill fishron you killed fishron, you don’t gain invisible IRL experience point ever time you do so, you just spend another 10 minutes doing something you already did, it doesn’t detract from the skill requirement, it just makes the run less of a pain and makes it more bearable for people watching on stream

Once you've killed a shark, you already know how to do it, it doesn't get any harder, so is it ok to give yourself 999 shark fins to sell? Unlimited money? Once you've mined some hellstone, you already know how to do it, so you can just give yourself all the molten items? Just giving yourself Vampire Knives when you start hardmode is fine, right? If you've killed a face monster, it's just pointless grinding to kill any more of them, so just give yourself the knives. In fact, when you start the game, just give yourself molten armor and tools, because upgrading through metal tiers and mining blocks is just grinding, basically. In fact, if you have a fishing rod, as soon as you enter hardmode you can just give yourself wings and titanium armor. Because fishing and getting bait is boring grinding. It's not hard, it just takes time.
