So if the Jets' Gardner grabs a player, it's a hold, but if the Eagles' Bradberry grabs a player, it's on the refs for "deciding" to call it? Pick a side of the fence please.
only thing he calls it a decision for it because they weren't calling that shit all game, so that's what made the call. It wasn't the holding- that was legit. It was that they only called it on the most crucial play of the game.
A fun fact for those that think perna knows what hes talking about. The eagles snapped 73% of their snaps with less than 5 seconds left on the play clock. In an effort to keep mahomes off the field and eat up time, they used a total of 6:11 of time. Time they needed and wanted at the end of the game.
@@JNB0723 you can also blame the eagles for that. They wasted a timeout with 9 minutes left on a delay of game penalty. So there's 48 seconds they would have had.
As an Eagles fan, we just plum got out coached. Combined with A fumble and punt return that put us behind the 8-ball the whole game. It’s taken me 4 months to come this far towards acceptance.
They were trying to use the "blueprint to beat the Chiefs". Run the ball, eat clock and keep Mahomes on the sideline. To be fair, they were pulling it off the best I've seen of anyone to try. In my opinion, Hurts' fumble is what killed the Eagles. That was a... 14 point swing? I think the Eagles win by 4-10 points if Hurts didn't drop the ball.
Doesn't matter Refs had their orders Mahomes is the NFL's favored poster boy. Had it been a different QB across from Hurts eagles may have won it cause the NFL has a marketing direction which I know of quite well from the inside.
I loved all the “you can’t call that at that point in the game!” Takes. Like blatant pass interference shouldn’t count just because we’re inside 2 minutes
@@sillyrascal3382 Or that time KC’s Dee Ford was lined up a foot offsides with 57 seconds left in the AFC Championship Game? I guess they do call penalties in big games with less than 2 minutes left, even when Dee Ford had absolutely no bearing on Brady’s pass..
If you think that hold was "blatant" then I hate to tell you that literally every play has blatant holding. His grab didn't impede his route much at all, the ball was far enough overhead that it almost would be considered uncatchable (doesn't apply for holding though) and literally grabbing jerseys is just part of the game, both for the DBs and for the Oline. That being said I hate people who get bent out of shape over these types of calls. It was in the moment the ref did what he thought was correct, that's okay. That was a hold, and it was the second time that it happened in that Superbowl. First one didn't get called. It's a difficult hold to spot and I didn't see a good angle on it until days later, but the narrative never died even though it's obviously a significant hold. Patrick threw that ball knowing he was going to get that call. He's just smart like that.
It was a hold. Even if it wasn't, the eagles defense is to blame. They left sky Moore and kadarius Toney open, back to back drives for the two easiest touchdowns. If the Eagles D stopped just one of those touchdowns, then that holding call might not have mattered. Bc chiefs would have to go for a TD + extra point to send the game into overtime.
Man I miss jamal Williams on the Lions, David Montgomery is great and all but Jamal's personality was hilarious, he was my favorite player on the team last year

1. The championship game was more than one score at times, halftime for instance. :) 2. The field was not crappy or slick. The field was over-watered, so the dirt was too soft, and the grass roots couldn't withstand the players torque.
i love how people randomly bring up jackson mahomes when talking about the chiefs as if he has ever worked with the team. like, they can’t criticize pat for his play (which won him mvp and another ring) or his personality (by all accounts he seems like a good dude), so they need to mention his brother to tie pat to something negative 🤦♂️

Perna , in the Super Bowl you show a still shot of the Eagles DB with a clinched hand PULLING on the jersey , the DB admitted to holding and you'r still crying ! LOL
That isn't holding. It was minor all things considered and the ball was uncatchable. It isn't like if that tug never happened that suddenly the WR would've been able to catch it. You just can't call that penalty in that spot. Maybe you could've but the automatic first down that it carries just seals the game for the Chiefs and screws the Eagles hard. That penalty has gone down as the first-ever Super Bowl deciding penalty.
@@thephoenixxm4160 see, this is why you're absolutely a casual. I'll explain the NFL rules to you. A hold happens regardless of whether the ball is catchable or not. It is determined if a player impedes another player's movement/ability to run a route. A pass interference is if the ball is catchable, but the defender ( this is the receiver or the defensive player, whoever can make a play on the ball) is impeded from making that play on the ball. Ie a bear hug, holding arms, pushing etc. Now, move along.

@@airwiick7310In my opinion, Hurts' fumble for a scoop and score decided the game. Blaming refs is pointless unless you play perfectly.
Your best work yet, Brandon
Jags will be incredible to watch this year, Ridley coming back, Kirk and Jones following their great season, etiene being a monster on the field, Lawrence continuing to improve and shake off meyers terrible influence AND they improved their defense. Jags will absolutely win their division and have a consecutive play-off appearance.
That's not hard considering the rest of their division is dogshit. I agree with you though, they're poised to improve on offense barring injury to Lawrence or Etienne
I love the idea of this video for the 23 season.
Maybe in chronological order.
Maybe high in humor/laughable moments.
Maybe a collective video of all your weekly recaps put together in one long video.
It'll be a great way to expand your base to the occasional football follower so they feel like they can be informed going into the new season. Well done!
Also, was waiting for the SpongeBob Squarepants shaming over Thanksgiving mention that was missed. Guess I have to go back to your video from that week 😂
😅😅😅
A fun fact for those that think perna knows what hes talking about.
The eagles snapped 73% of their snaps with less than 5 seconds left on the play clock. In an effort to keep mahomes off the field and eat up time, they used a total of 6:11 of time.
Time they needed and wanted at the end of the game.
I mean I think we could have gotten 3 points off with the minute we should have had left.
Nice job bro. You amaze me with how you can recap last season so well. I only remember some things. Anyways, nice job
It was a hold, can’t believe its still a debate.
It's a lot easier to blame the refs than the QB you want to see win, who literally dropped the ball for a scoop and score. 😢😢😢😢
The debate is when tf are they calling that other then that moment lmfao
This is a really well put together video
video deadass deserves millions of views bro
A memory [Sauce] will hold onto forever
…Much like his strategy of guarding receivers
😂😂😂
I loved all the “you can’t call that at that point in the game!” Takes. Like blatant pass interference shouldn’t count just because we’re inside 2 minutes
Its like calling a hold when the game is on the line. It has to be obvious, like the one the Chiefs got away with vs the Bengals.
@@sillyrascal3382 Or that time KC’s Dee Ford was lined up a foot offsides with 57 seconds left in the AFC Championship Game? The play where Tom Brady threw an interception & would’ve sent KC to their 1st Super Bowl in 50 years?
Now what happened to the Saints back in the NFC championship against the Rams...THAT is a great example of extreme ineptitude by the refs
@@MAJ0ROCEL0T or refs fixing the game
@@sillyrascal3382 Unless you can give definitive proof of that happening (which there isn't) I don't see the value in speculating like that's actually a real issue. I think the more simple answer is that we're humans, and sadly some humans are dumb or careless, and that happens at every level. It is what it is
Not even a fan, but the momentum the 9ers gathered had me thinking they were gonna destroy everyone in playoffs and win it all. Purdy really brought some swag and their cohesion as a team was godly. But As they say, any given Sunday. That collapse was downright tragic.
Let's say Purdy didn't get hurt. He still fumbled the eagles had the ball and were probably gonna go score again and it would have been 14-0 and Purdy would've been getting murdered all game. Lol
They didn't collapse crazy Purdy got injured..same thing happened to Dallas the week before when Pollard got hurt. In a sport where EVERY SINGLE PLAYER matters big time... a team cant sustain losing ome of their best players and then being replaced by someone who isn't good at all
@@JohnDoe-ep1cpIf Purdy didn't get hurt it's football and the Niners made Hurts look like dog crap WITHOUT a Qb and where the better team si they probably come out and stomp the Eagles considering the refs gave the Eagles a free lomg pass that the reciever CLEARLY dropped just to have that lead in the first place LMGDAO... considering they could phase a one legged Mahomes they were cooked against a healthy Purdy
@ChrisSmith-tu9bu bro is so mad he's commenting 2 months later and 6 months after the SB. Lol in case you didn't know "No one likes us, we don't care" keep hating on the internet bub

I have to admit, I watched the flag football on the pro bowl and thoroughly enjoyed it! Great video though, always love the subtle and not so subtle jokes!
Amazing work Brandon!!
the 2022 season feels like its been a year ago. i guess 18 weeks of Russ and Hackett will do that.
Not even 18 weeks lmao. Hackett was fired after Week 16 and Russ was out for a couple games (including a Week 15 win)
Russ is good. Hackett was not ready for a HC job. Sean Payton will turn that organization around.
@@Vader-San Hackett wasn’t the _only_ problem in Denver.
Good fun vid...but!
"They called this a hold!"...proceeds to show a perfect angle of the fist full of jersey (AKA a HOLD!😂)
Looooooove these types of long videos
2022 was truly a year for football
Brandon you are by far the best sports youtuber online by far! I love your hatred for the Chiefs. It just makes it so much better when we (The Chiefs) kick the Donkeys ass!!!
I know our respective fanbases kinda-sorta hate each other but thanks for a good summary of the Seahawks season.
It’s really nice to find out that I’m not the only person in the world to ever use the word “crotchel” 😂

This helped me sleep this afternoon for my nap now it will entertain me while I grill thank you
Brandon, as a chiefs fan, I genuinely enjoy your videos dude
To be fair, the Texans were a little adjustment away from having that 7:20 TD picked by Thomas II and lose. a game of inches, as they say
Exactly. Mahomes was instantly pointing at the hold too.
Man I miss jamal Williams on the Lions, David Montgomery is great and all but Jamal's personality was hilarious, he was my favorite player on the team last year
Great job bro
Can anyone make an entire season recap in just 34 minutes? That's good sports sure can!
That Bills v Bengals game should have been listed as a tie or a loss. To not make it count at all caused ilrepible harm to the entire league.
Lol no it didn’t bozo
A loss for the bills would’ve made the most sense.
But there was also a rule the league didn’t follow properly which i think was about winning percentage
Irreparable* Not trying to be a dick, just don't want you out here looking silly my boy.
Love it or hate it, a hold is a hold.
It was the definition of anticlimactic. Right call. But dang it soured my mood and I am a Chiefs fan.
It was a crazy season! Very entertaining!
"Forcing Geno Smith to buy some stationary" is a great joke 😂
that super bowl loss hurt, but the eagles are better than they were last season on paper, so i have hope
That was a very equal looking game. I know the loss hurt, but you guys really looked good. If only the field was better, maybe it could have been a different outcome. But the skill both teams had, it was a skin of the teeth kinda win. You have an excellent team✌️
Mentions basically every team except the Chargers, except for *that* one reason 😭😭

One of the most surprising things was seeing how Fields could run with the ball. Ppl dont realize he was a passer in college
As a Giants fan, my team have a very tough act to follow this year.
1. The championship game was more than one score at times, halftime for instance. :)
2. The field was not crappy or slick. The field was over-watered, so the dirt was too soft, and the grass roots couldn't withstand the players torque.
So the field was poorly maintained ergo it was bad?
@@MEGARAYMANable It wasn't poorly maintained, it was a new field that was given too much water before a game.
@@iceberg54321 that's the definition of a bad field to play on
@@chargingbadger867 Yes.
But it was the same for both teams, the Chiefs had a good pass rush that was negated as well, which let Hurt's throw bombs because he had more time.
i love how people randomly bring up jackson mahomes when talking about the chiefs as if he has ever worked with the team. like, they can’t criticize pat for his play (which won him mvp and another ring) or his personality (by all accounts he seems like a good dude), so they need to mention his brother to tie pat to something negative 🤦♂️
I work with a guy like that. It's laughable.
Mann, Lion's are doing great, but I miss Jamal Willians

Perna , in the Super Bowl you show a still shot of the Eagles DB with a clinched hand PULLING on the jersey , the DB admitted to holding and you'r still crying ! LOL
😂😂😂
@@CalebJohnston Except newsflash, that hold didn't impende his progress. That ball wasn't going to be caught no matter what. Holds like that happen ALL THE TIME. Plus, similar holds weren't being called earlier so why should the game be decided by one?
@@thephoenixxm4160 because it should have been called in the first place. Because they gave the eagles back a fumble TD, they gave godert a catch that wasn't caught, they didn't call the pi on Bradbury earlier.
How trash is your team that you wanted more help to win against a 1 legged mahomes? If they needed all that help, eagles really didn't deserve to be in the sb in the first place.
Newsflash!! Once mahomes had the lead, he never once lost it in the playoffs. Against far better teams than the Giants and a qbless 49ers. 🤣😂
Gtfo with your begging the refs to not call a blatant foul. You're like a dog in heat. 😂😂😂😂😂

Small note for the Falcons section. Desmond Ridder never got to throw to the Kyle Pitts. Pitts was injured against the Bears while Mariota was still the QB.
That 9ers/bucs game? Tampa scored with 3 minutes left in the 3rd funny beard man. Not with 3 left in the game. I should get a reward for my skills of observation. Cash is nice
Tua is so good. Hope he can prove it again this year.
Tua is very good but Fields went toe to toe with him last year. Fields is very underrated.
