Honestly I knew that Manning was starting that Super Bowl. There was no way he wasn’t... now that said I believe I told my wife that there was a possible scenario where if Manning was playing like he did when we went to Brock, that he could get benched in the Super Bowl... but I told her to pray to the gods not to let that happen, as a Broncos fan since Elway came into the league we had enough Super Bowl hardships. But yeah it was a difficult thing to watch and it ended great for us, thank you universe!
I’m a panthers fan. What is so tragic about this season, is we would have blown out any other team other than the broncos. We blew out the Seahawks and the cardinals in the games before. If we played the patriots instead of the broncos it would have been a massive panthers win. The broncos were set up just in the best way to exploit our offensive weaknesses. What’s insane is other than Greg Olsen every other player we had except maybe Ted ginn was basically a practice squad level player. Which just shows how dominant cam was that year. Mostly good memories from that year

I'll always remember that Super Bowl. I was working at GameStop at that time. Sundays are always short days, so there's usually only a single manager that works from open to close on Sundays plus an additional employee that will come in for the last few hours to help close. I was meant to be that manager on SB Sunday but I woke up feeling sick as a dog that day. So did my dad. We both ended up camping out in the living room dozing on and off through the pre-game coverage. Being sick sucked but it was fun spending a day with my dad while watching a really entertaining SB.

As a side note, the Broncos are going through the longest Super Bowl hangover in history - 8 years and counting of missed playoff appearances.
As this being my first year of NFL, as a steelers fan, the first game I ever watched, was Vick’s W against the chargers, dam was this a wild first season

Respect to the 2000 Ravens Defense too ✊
Ok let me point out something that was not touched upon. I think something that stapled the 2015 Broncos Defense as even better than many thought, is they made an entirely new defensive formation (at least in player composition). The Broncos had a 4-4-3 that was not 4 Lineman, 4 linebackers, 3 DB.....it was 4 Outside Linebackers on the line with Von Miller, Demarcus Ware, Shaquil Barette (who later got 19.5 sacks in a season with Tampa), and Shane Ray. 4 Corner Backs; Aquib Talib, Chris Harris Jr., Bradley Roby, and Kayvon Webster (Bradley Roby and Kayvon Webster were both good enough to be starters and got contracts in the future as #1 or #2 corners). Finally 3 safeties with breakout rookie star Justin Simmons playing as an all rounder and TJ Ward and Darian Stewart playing the normal starting roles. Keep in mind this defense wasn't suffering from bad middle linebackers or defensive lineman. Sylvester Williams was a monster of a nose tackle, and Derek Wolfe and Malik Jackson were both really good Defensive Ends that would shut down enemy teams. Brandon Marshall and Danny Trevathan were one of the strongest middle linebacker duos to ever play at the time and Todd Davis was backing them up and a future starter. This formation purely showcased the dominance of the Broncos Depth Chart deep into the roster. For any wondering at how the formation worked, the 4 outside linebackers lined up on the line, all swappable and free to do their stuff. The 4 corners were normally assigned man to man vs the 3 wide recievers and tight end. The 3 safeties; depending on the play, Darian Stewart would play deep as the free Safety, and TJ Ward and Justin Simmons would split the middle zones and focus on run coverage almost like middle linebackers, alternatively Justin Simmons would split the deep zones with Darian Stewart. This is still by far my favorite defensive position to ever be played, beyond even the greats like Bears 4-6-1 D. It was super high paced and was brutal on qb in a game that focused on passing. Unfortunately as years went by players retired and other teams saw how good they were and they were offered bigger contracts than Broncos could afford. But this Defense was legendary. Edit: special note that this wasn't used as a prevent defense, instead it was used similarly to a nickle defense.
Ummm Simmons came in 2016 and the Broncos would usually play a 2-4-5 Malik Jackson and Derek Wolfe would be the two linemen while Ware and Miller took the outside. These 4 were great rushers that shut down the run. Marshall and Trevathan were great Mlbs while Harris, Talib, Roby Stewart and Ward were your DBs Williams came in as the “Starting DT” but they mainly went with the formation I mentioned above
@@mattieaflo yeah this was a special formation....i think i had simmons wrong maybe it was lorenzo doss or david bruton. It wasnt an all the time thing, only happened on certain drives
2017 season is also worth a breakdown. Post 28-3 falcones, mahomes joining the league to soon stretch our broncos drought, nick foles beating brady and patriots with a trick play, etc. a season worth a view.
Charles Woodson in 2010 is still the best defensive season I’ve ever seen. It might be because I’m a lifelong packers fan and I was 12 at the time and we won the Super Bowl… yeah actually that’s it but he had a good season that was incredible to watch
Edit time stamp 5:53 Romos final game wasn’t this years thanksgiving game, it was the next years (2016) week 17 game in Philly. I was there, he looked great, was the best quarterback in that game. Shame they pulled him after one drive, but still great to watch that last drive. He played the role of Aaron rodgers during practice leading up to their division round match up with Green Bay. He was in mid season form, and looked the best he looked in years. Then when Dallas was getting blown out in the first half, Romo starred to warm up before the cowboys last first half drive, everyone knew jerry jones wanted Romo to get a shot. Dak drive down the field and punched it in for a TD, Dallas came back to tie it in the 2nd half, but if Dallas doesn’t get that TD who knows what would have happened with Romo retiring the end of the year.
As a Giants fan it was the best of times it was the blurst of time. So many games lost on a field goal, the highlight being OBJ & his catch, but also in the loss against the Saints 49-52...... We had a great offence, too bad out Defense was made of Paper.
I will never forget the broncos home loss to the chiefs. Crazy game.... They start the game with manning breaking a record. They end it with manning getting benched and their season in turmoil. Plus, i turned 21 and was reeling from a hangover.
25:39 I have such a vivid memory of my dad and his pals absolutely sweating bullets at end of that afc championship game then going crazy when Roby picked it off, only to follow it with relentlessly taunting Amendola (they had a seething hatred for Amendola)
I always thought it would be great if Von Miller came and sat down after cam newton vacated that chair at the press conference. “Bronco Defenders Still chasing Newton even after the game!” would be the headlines.
I remember in 2013 all I could hear about was how defense wins championships and the Broncos were hopeless against the Seahawks... which was true, obviously, but those same arguments seemed to vanish in 2015. Nobody wanted this team to win.
I still remember that super bowl win for the broncos I was a senior in high school n to watch Peyton Manning retire and graduate was icing on the cake me

Respect to the 2000 Ravens Defense too ✊
no joke when you said helping jeff fischer to... my mind said a 7 and 9 season, just as you said you guessed it. hilarious
it gave me great joy seeing cam newton get permanant "von miller" flashes everytime he got sacked afterwards
Pause it right at 7:37. You will see actual footage of Sean McVay on the FootballComSkins. A rare sight
I'm being reminded of so much that I forgot about. Amazing stuff. Miss this time period.
Ummm Simmons came in 2016 and the Broncos would usually play a 2-4-5
Malik Jackson and Derek Wolfe would be the two linemen while Ware and Miller took the outside. These 4 were great rushers that shut down the run.
Marshall and Trevathan were great Mlbs while Harris, Talib, Roby Stewart and Ward were your DBs
Williams came in as the “Starting DT” but they mainly went with the formation I mentioned above
@@mattieaflo yeah this was a special formation....i think i had simmons wrong maybe it was lorenzo doss or david bruton. It wasnt an all the time thing, only happened on certain drives
Carcinoma is a Spanish miniature chihuahua breed known for being slightly larger than a standard chihuahua but NEVER barks. It only bites.
3:17 lmfao Brandon “Don’t tread on me” Perna
The guy vaping as the transition 😂 keep it going brah
Love these videos I'm sure they are hard to make but I wish to see more
This was the season I started following the NFL and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made
Where did you listen to D Wolfe on the tells during the Super Bowl? I’d love to give it a listen
Announcer at the bama game got me fuckin rollin 😂😂😂
I have no memory of Shurmur stepping in from Chip Kelly the last game of the season lol
First year I seriously understood football (I was 12) and I remember the hype around my school about the panthers can’t believe that was 9 years ago
We all know you are doing this to take your mind off the 2022 Denver Bronchos, and we love you for it.
Man as a Panther's fan prime cam was the most fun I've ever had as a fan. The mismanagement of his injuries is one of the saddest things

Romos final game wasn’t this years thanksgiving game, it was the next years (2016) week 17 game in Philly.
Great video bud! Like the narration and the recap
great video Brandon you never miss! really love this deep dive format and man this season was wild go broncos!
As a Giants fan it was the best of times it was the blurst of time. So many games lost on a field goal, the highlight being OBJ & his catch, but also in the loss against the Saints 49-52...... We had a great offence, too bad out Defense was made of Paper.
First time watching your channel very funny video that was quite a season
Make one of these for every season!
7:13 *Forgot to mention the 2014 Panthers that finished 7-8-1 and won the NFC South that year
I was also at the winter wonderland game with the patriots. My dad took me and to this day it is the greatest sporting event I have ever witnessed
I will never forget the broncos home loss to the chiefs. Crazy game.... They start the game with manning breaking a record. They end it with manning getting benched and their season in turmoil. Plus, i turned 21 and was reeling from a hangover.
Broncos have yet to beat the Chiefs since that very game. Unfathomable.
25:39 I have such a vivid memory of my dad and his pals absolutely sweating bullets at end of that afc championship game then going crazy when Roby picked it off, only to follow it with relentlessly taunting Amendola (they had a seething hatred for Amendola)
What's the sound name that starts around 0:45
Like can you please tell me
I always thought it would be great if Von Miller came and sat down after cam newton vacated that chair at the press conference.
I feel like the latest season with this much entertainment was 2019. You should do an in depth on that one
Please do the 2019 season.
That Thanksgiving game was not Romo's last game. He threw a TD in week 17 in 2016.
I keep forgetting Matt LeFleur was part of the Washington Football Team/Commanders/Skins at some point
I remember like 6 teams started the season 6-0 (including Dalton and green bengals) and the panthers were the only ones that held on
I still remember that super bowl win for the broncos I was a senior in high school n to watch Peyton Manning retire and graduate was icing on the cake me
