In the movie, those "magicians" were fake/ tricksters and actually comedic relief. These magicians- they can fork you up!
The fun thing is, they didn't consider themselves fakes. What they did was stage tricks, but the know-how required to pull them off was, by ancient Egyptian standards, arcane knowledge.
Jonathan and Caleb did covers of all (I think) of the Prince of Egypt songs. It's definitely worth checking out the rest of them.
Yup! They made it into the RUclips equivalent of a mini-album (read: playlist) called "Princes of Egypt"!
They also did Through Heaven’s Eyes. Really hilarious dancing with those two.
What I always thought was funny about this cover is that the Taller Skinny guy is playing the shorter big guy in the movie, and vice versa for Caleb
Originally, Amun-Ra was known as Ra who was recognized as the “Sun God.” He not only created himself, but he was the creator of the entire universe. He was known to have so much power, that some historians believe that the ancient Egyptians had a monotheistic belief
Unbelievable, it's like you picked the request right from my head. Love Jonathan young, please do his version of "Deliver Us" when you get the time! Thanks Dave!
Coming back to rewatch this after you reacted to Deliver us. good things
I would loooooooove to see you react to Jonathan Young's "Phantom of the Opera" cover. It is *haunting* and is my favorite version of the song I've ever heard.
His is good, but I've got a soft spot for Nightwish's cover, especially the one with their current singer, Floor Jansen.
The "oooh that's pretty" is just 😘👌
Hey Dave! As a big time Jon fan, I can’t let you react without letting you know he has wonderful original music that he is incredibly more passionate about and needs help getting more reactions! Help the boi out and react to Jetpack Race!
One of my favorite covers of any song and your reaction was wonderful. I loved how you touched on the facial expressions and showed the difference between singing with full facial expressions vs trying to do it monotone and voice actors! It's something a lot of people don't think about when it comes to animation especially, but the faces voice actors make can wind up being the difference between a performance that lands, and one that falls flat. Same with music. Your videos are wonderful!
They didn't have to go hard even on the original songs of The Prince of Egypt. But, they cared for us back then. LOL Loved this! And yesss. I hope you checked out "Deliver Us" by Jonathan and Caleb in your spare time. :)
I really liked how they and the movie mentioned the gods of egypt in the song, in this version of really love it cause it just sounds amazingly sinister and dark its awesome
I still remember the first time I discovered this cover and I'm like "oh hey! Jonathan young and Caleb hyles collabed again, this should be good!" And then I'm like "Ayo pop off?"
Now I listen to this cover every time I need a pick me up at work
I recommend the Hunchback of Notre Dame cover Bells of Notre Dame. That song really shows off both their vocal ranges.
Love Jonathan and Caleb and the Prince of Egypt!!
that's the music that got me into joyo. a streamer i was watching mentionned the guy, i was like yo this guy looks cool, put a playlist of his tunes, and then, this came up and i just put it on repeat for a day
Lee did the full instrumentation of that song btw, he's jon's guy for heavy (and part of a band, yalle yalle yalla)
Teacher:"Can anyone name ten of the gods of egypt?"
Me: 1:43
I actually listen to their cover of _All I Ever Wanted_ as often as my other music. It's just really pretty.
Caleb's eyes look like he is indeed POSSESSED by something lol which makes it all the more effective
They did an awesome metal cove on hunchback of Notre Dame song the bells of Notre Dame it's awesome and you should really check it out.
When you also listen to the song you got to wonder of course the priest's magic wouldn't have worked they didn't even list the goddess of magic lol
Oh my, your "Playing with the big boys" singing was pretty nice as well! A tad slower for intensity, but the deep voice was still nice.
Its very interesting that you mantioned the facial expressions, you need to check their cover to 'final countdown' you will be surprised... great reaction as allways keep your amazing work tnx
Woah, I literally just found this song and looked up to see if anyone did a reaction and here you are wtf
Jonathan Young just slays some music
They are SO GOOD at mean-muggin', bruh.
I don't use Patreon (first experience worst experience. So. Y'know the drill. Never went back), but I have so many ideas for songs you'd enjoy enjoy appreciate.
Maybe I could make a playlist and you could just use it if you feel like it?
Their cover of -Savages- from Pocahontas kicks a** too xD
This was entertaining for sure. Great video choice
love seeing you react to Jonathan Young and Caleb Hyles!! I've been fans of theirs for years and I'm glad you're enjoying them as well!
Keep killin' it out there, homie!!
Try some of Jonathon's original work, especially Echo Chamber, Damage Done, and the Land of Broken Dreams!
She is known today by her Greek name Isis; however, the ancient Egyptians called her Aset. Her name translates to “Queen of the Throne” which is reflected in her headdress, which is typically a throne
So did you know Jonathan Young before you heard the Wellermen’s Misty Mountains? I hadn’t, so I got curious. I’m really not a metal girl, but he’s still fun to listen to.
I very much did. Here’s all my Jonathan young reactions.

amazing and beautiful ❤️
Can you please react to Jonathan Young and Caleb Hyles The plagues from Prince of Egypt
Ha! Yeah, I think I'd be doing a quick step and pivot if I saw this without any context. You know a song is good when you'd be terrified to stumble upon the performers in a park
"You playing with the big boys Dave"
Osiris was the god and chief judge of the underworld. He was also god of vegetation and the annual Nile flood and was closely associated with death, resurrection and fertility.
For someone who is actually mix with that culture, I can name three top of my head for Maine very important ones amun ra and Aset Asar
This is new...
This is beautiful
Hail Ra
River vs Colaps please
What’s up Dave! How’s it goin? Is the Metallica-“That Was Just Your Life” reaction coming soon?
By the power ofthe Abrahamics.
Kinda pissed at youtube for just now recommending these to me. Algorithm fail. But cheers!
He have a lot more better covers than this you have reacted.
