I remember flying these from Moscow to Tyumen. They were the smoothest flying things I ever used, and the sound is amazing. Always used to make me laugh when the Russians would be on their mobile phones during final approach, and standing up getting their bags before the plane even touched the ground ))
Must have not been much soundproofing material in this aircraft. Seems quite loud from inside (captain's voice drowned out during engine start). It's neat that you can hear the engine pitch changes during taxi and takeoff. Thanks for sharing this video from inside a Soviet-era airplane!
when you are onboard of tu-134 you may feel safe, because it's as safe as a ground bus. Damn reliable aircraft almost like il-96 (No crashes since the first one built). These planes have never crashed because of technical issues, but the human factor alone like pilot mistake, low visibility, weird maintainance etc.
Man I just love russian aircraft! They have a unique look like no other aircraft, and these have classic engines that roar! Sadly jets today have quiet engines and a lot more soundproofing, so the sounds of the engines can't be enjoyed :( . I'd say the Tu-154 is probably my favorite russian airliner. The tri-jet t-tail config looks really cool.

Этот, как ты его называеш, драндулет, пережил все иномарки - 134 и 154 самые долгожители. Но 134ка особенно, и не по "бедности" авиакомпаний, а по надежности модификации. Еще ни один борт типа ТУ-134 не убил людей - все аварии были не по техпречине, а из-за человеческого фактора.
Посмотри на крыло и механизацию, у 154 механизация более развита, здесь нет интерцепторов как на 154. И звук когда на взлетном режиме, вой такой характерный для 134. Я летал, на нем, ни с чем не спутаешь.

Д-30-двухконтурный,как и его предшественник Д-20.Одноконтурный "Микулин" стоял только на Ту-104.Учите матчасть.
