      Hi,
      I've seen something like it on the site of kaweko, but never in real life, so I'm not sure how it works/feels.
      If you do decide to try it, please let us know.
      Edit: mosunderstood it. It's an insert for your regular kaweco pen so it can be turned into a emr pen.

    Hi! I watched your video before I bought the Supernote A5X and I've been using the Samsung S6 Lite pen with it since September of 2022. The Samsung pen has been working swimmingly. I'll have to buy some new nibs since the standard one is feeling more and more slippery. One thing I did to balance out the weight of the pen was to add a cap from one of my old analog pens to it. That helps me carry it in my custom supernote cover and also make the pen heavier. Thank you for this video. I'm gonna try the nibs you suggested. 😁

    I LOVED this video. I loved seeing all the pens. I have the STAEDTLER jumbo for drawing and I LOOOOOVE it. 37 bucks here and then 27 for the non-eraser. I could not spend the 110 on the rM2 pen. It was just too high. And I feel the company went too far asking that much. My hubby calls it the Ridiculous as well. You guys are funny. That said, I did order the gray one with my rM2 (batch 11). As for the HP nibs, very cool. I LOVE options! Much thanks and Happy Writing.

But I have a few different pens for the rM2 and I find I cycle through. Sometimes I'll only use one pen for awhile and then I feel like switching and then I switch. Thank Voja for this great (as always) review!
    Just one note on the Lamy pen: if you have the Lamy pen that comes with the Supernote, it has a different harder nib compared to the original Lamy, specifically designed for the soft Supernote surface. So, if you test the original Lamy pen with the original nib, it should be softer and maybe better to be used on the harder surfaces of other devices.

    I use the Lamy EMR on a Boox Note Air with the ESR Paper-feel Screen-Protector. Since the HP nibs recommended in this video are not availlable in Germany for a reasonable price, I tried the Wacom felt pen nibs (ACK22213) and really can recommend them! They are IMO way better than the Lamy-nibs (I tried both the ones for glossy surfaces and the POM nibs for paper-like surfaces). At the time of writing, they were availlable via Amazon as a 10-pack for 10 Euros in Germany.

    Wonderful review -- Thank you Voja!
    I had my Boox Note 3 for less than 3 weeks, and I absolutely love working with it, but after writing a lot with the default pen, well I think I will be investing on a better pen. I trust your reviews, not only because they are clearly presented, very detailed, well-though out and balanced; but also because many of the things that you comment resonate with my way of using devices in general. Today the comment about the Noris and the nostalgia was spot on -- I was very tempted to go for the regular Noris because of the hexagonal shape and the fact that reminds me my childhood. However, after your review, even though the Samsung looks like a very good pen, I think I am going to invest in the Lamy, is a bit thicker and the way it is designed I think it is better for somebody who writes a lot and tends to hold the pen low. I will not know what to choose without your fantastic review, so thank you again!

    I have the Samsung S 6 lite tablet as well as a Nova 3 - I find the S pen very glidey/slippy on the glass screen of the Samsung - it's nice enough and very quick but doesn't feel like writing on paper - I quite like using it on my Nova as it has more grip - and here's the funny thing - using my Boox pen (even with a really worn out nib) on the Samsung is quite decent too!!
    I was going to buy a different pen but maybe I'll just get some nibs!!

    Thanks very much Voja. Based on your extensive analysis, I have ordered a Note Air from the eReader store. It should be with me on Friday ... can't wait.
    On the subject of syli, my favourite ink pen is a fisher space pen. It is a full-sized pen, but can be pulled apart and halved in size for storage; it fits perfectly in the fold of my wallet. My perfect sylus would be one of these, with a erase functionality and - I guess - the ability to take the Samsung grey nibs. In the meantime, I'll sure I won't know the difference between various syli when I get my Air so will probably be happy with it - as in very!

    Thank you very much for this video! It's been very informative. I have the RM2 with the marker plus and the writing experience is very good. I also like the feel of the marker plus and the fact that it's weighty. Would you say that the combination of the Samsung and the hp nibs that you propose will elevate the writing experience? I usually write with the fineliner and not so much with the pencils. I've also seen some people suggesting that by changing pen the jagged lines are reduced, however I wouldn't bet on that. Of course it is mostly a matter of personnal taste it vastly depends on your grip. I think the S6 lite Spen is a bit too thin.

      Thank you :) I like it the best. Some users find it too thin, and you should also be aware that Remarkable is the only one that doesn't support the function of the eraser button. It is possible to install a hack, but I refrain from doing that, because every so often, people write to me with stories that their device would lock out, crash or just stop working after installing various hacks (last week alone I had 3 people write to me with such a question). The rest of the devices (except Papyr, of course) have full support of the eraser button.

    As always, kudos to Voja and his outstanding videos.
    I have both the Note Air and rM2. My third party stylus pens are the Staedtler Digital and Jumbo pens and the Samsung S6 Lite. I ordered the Marker Plus with my rM pre-order. It was $50 then. It’s a bit of a rip off at $110 now. The Marker and Marker Plus are ideal for the rM2 for the writing experience and the solid magnetic attachment. I see no reason to “upgrade” to a third party stylus for this tablet. I have used the Jumbo on the rM2. It has the same rubbery draggy feel as on the Note Air. The eraser is much better than the Marker Plus, but that alone is not enough reason to switch pens. In either case, if you need precise eraser control, you are better off using the software eraser.
    I purchased my third party pens primarily for the Note Air. The Staedtler pens just feel a little too weird to me. That eerie quiet rubbery drag just doesn’t do it for me. Still the Jumbo eraser is excellent. The Samsung S6 Lite with rM nib is the best stylus-nib combo for the Note Air so far. The writing experience is nearly the same as the rM2 with its Marker. The magnetics are as good as the stock Note Air stylus. The Samsung is fairly secure against the tablet when it is in its case, but with out the case the pen falls off very easily. I have two basic cons with the Samsung. First, it is a very skinny form factor. If you have large thin hands like me, you may find it difficult or uncomfortable to use long term. Second and related to the first, the eraser button is hard to find and hard to use. The Samsung just doesn’t quite fit naturally in my hand. I have to contort my finger or thumb to get to the eraser button. The button also seems to have a fairly small sweet spot. If I don’t press it just right, instead of erasing, I am scribbling lines over what I want to erase. The eraser issue spoils my work flow. Still, combined with an rM nib, the Samsung out performs the cheap Note Air stylus.
    Next up, the Lamy EMR and some HP nibs. I am willing to forego semi-secure magnetic attachments in favor of a stylus pen that truly fits my hand. Hopefully this is the ideal combo for me on my Note Air. These should arrive in a week or two.

      Very interested in knowing, since I want to try the button and the pen looks amazing too!

    • @starroger
      @starroger 3 года назад +1

      @@dot5816 That combo is quite good for writing feel. Perhaps just a bit more paper-like than rM Marker with rM nib. I suppose that putting the HP nib in the rM Marker would have the same feel. Two cons for the Lamy are: 1) no magnetic attachment and 2) the eraser button doesn't work on rM2. The Lamy has a thicker barrel than the rM Marker. Yet the rM Marker is sufficiently thick to be very comfortable to use. The HP nibs are supposed to last longer than rM nibs.
      I think the rM Markers are such an ideal companion to the rM2 that if you can find a good deal for the Markers, that's definitely the way to go. If you can afford paying top dollar for the rM Markers then you should do it. You won't be disappointed in feel and performance.
      As for the Lamy, it's my backup stylus after the Samsung S6 Lite for my Note Air. Both have the HP nibs. I have the original Onyx screen protector on my Note Air. This is a good writing surface for the HP nibs, very much like the rM2.

    • @dot5816
      @dot5816 3 года назад

      @@starroger thank you so much!! And would you recommend the Lamy or Samsung Stylus for the rM2? I'm a University student and I take a lot of notes and draw a lot as a hobby!

    • @starroger
      @starroger 3 года назад

      @@dot5816 The eraser buttons on those styli do not work on rM2. You would have to use the eraser tool or back icon to erase or undo your last scribble or mark. I have not found a stylus that is superior to the Marker Plus, which is what I have for my rM2. It's the best combination of stylus and tablet for the rM line, but oh so pricey. The Lamy and Samsung S6 Lite are the best options for Boox tablets in my opinion. However, if you are considering the rM2 and want to save a little money on the rM Stylus, you should definitely consider the Marker without the eraser. It is about the same cost as the Lamy and Samsung S6 Lite, you have the same eraser function experience, and the magnetic attachment of the rM Markers to the rM2 tablet is much stronger and more secure than any other combination of tablets and styli. Also consider HP gray nibs. Voja and other reviewers like the writing feel of these nibs and they last longer than rM nibs.

    Great review! Revealing, with such great details! I have a couple of questions:
    1) I just bought the Galaxy Tab S6 lite, with the S pen you like so much, but for me and my hand it is too thin. I was about to order Staedtler Jumbo, but after your video, I am opting for the Lamy Al-Star, for the shape it has in the fingers area, and the compatibility with various nibs.
    But of course I want to keep the S pen option alive! Who knows, I might love it after all!
    The HP nibs are almost nowhere to be found, so what alternatives would you suggest for the Tab S6 lite S pen? Bear in mind that I am a left hander writer (Math professor actually) so I tend to press the stylus harder. I am looking for nibs that won't scratch the tab's surface, but at the same time won't wear down too fast... Any suggestions?
    2) Lamy is my goto anternative. I read that reMarkable nibs work great with it. What are your thoughts on alternative nibs for Lamy, again for a left handed writer on the pushy side? And again, besides the HP nibs, that are hard to find.
    Thank you again for youre work! Keep it up!
